Chapter 3: Chapter 3: The beginning of the Torch
As I lay in bed next to my numerous plushies, most of which were of All Might, which my dad apparently was quite the fan of as most of things he bought me were All Might themed.
While staring at one the figurines of the man in question,
I fell deep in thought.
My quirk is decent, it's has potential it's flashy, the perfect quirk for a Hero, but is it enough,
At the earlier stages of the story, yes, l don't have to worry to much but by late game if can't develop this quirk to a top tier one, I would be sidelined by Midoriya and the others.
'At the very least, i didn't get a shitty quirk or god forbid no quirk at all!' I shuddered at that thought.
Well first things first. I got to train to increase my range and improve the heat that I can handle, and see if I can I turn my whole body into flame mode.
The intangibility part of my quirk is the game changer and where my confidence lies.
It's an absolute counter to all brawl and close combat hero's, they would have to catch me by surprise to even be able to hit me and if they do they also have to endure the heat that will engulf them after.
As I lay there thinking, I look at my right hand.
It instantly catches on fire, but the strange thing about it is that it doesn't radiate any heat,
Last night while testing it i found that if I will it to it will not burn anything even in direct contact.
From all the test I have done, My quirk I don't think is same as Ace's fruit,
The main thing being that I have to transform my limbs to use my fire and that they don't just turn into fire but rather a weird mashup of fire and some sort of condensed vapour like energy.
"I have a feeling i know whose powers I've got" I mumbled in excitement.
[ Tomorrow ]
Inside a car driving through traffic in the city of Chiba, sat a orange haired woman and a similar haired little boy.
" Are you excited to show your quirk off to your friends, dear!? " said the woman, who was the mother of the child.
" yes mom!!" I answered with excitement, while inside my head was a different story.
'Hell!!! Noo!!' And who can blame me as teen in high school, pre school was like a special version of hell solely designed to torture me.
While I have nothing against kids, their constant bothersome cries and screams can do something to even the most patient of man.
And so while having small talk with my mom during the drive we soon enough arrived at the school.
My mom and I first went to meet the principal to inform him of my quirk manifesting and to register it at the school, so that the teachers know about it.
After that we went to my class teacher Ms. Eiko to inform her as well.
She was quite the sweet old lady, the only thing that made this class tolerable for me.
And with that I was infront of the whole class
About to show off my quirk.
"Alright children be quiet!!, today your friend Harue-kun has manifested his quirk and he is going to show it to you all" Ms. Eiko announced to the whole class.
"Wow really!??"
"What kind of quirk did you awaken"
"Is it cool"
I was bombarded with questions by the qurious children.
"Quite down!!" Ms Eiko said than looked at me with gentle eyes,
" All right Harue show them your quirk "
I walked a step forward and put my hand infront of me and willed it to turn to flames.
"Woaahhhh" the class looked at me with a starry look in their eyes.
" that's so coool!!!" Said a boy with horns in head.
"Your quirk is just like Endeavour" Said a girl with a third eye.
"I can't wait to turn four and get my quirk as well, it's gonna be just as awesome" said a brat.
'Sure kid hope you do' I thought sarcastically.
And so the showcase ended and we got back to our seats,
"Wow Harue your quirk is soo goood!!" Said my desk mate, a girl with pink skin, hair and black sclera eyes.
"Thanks Mina" I answered, And yes she is that Mina, the one in the show.
Except this Mina is quite the shy one I'm one of her only friends.
She doesn't talk much and the reason for that is that the kids here are scared of her eyes,
Mutant quirk users while not discriminated by the law and society at large are still judged and kept out of social interaction by quirk fanatics.
Thankfully she is not bullied because Ms Eiko makes sure that doesn't happen in the class and reminds the kids to be mindful of others.
"Whanna play Hero's after class" I was broken by my thoughts and turned to look at Mina who was lookin down at her knees shyly.
"Alright, I'll be the villain " I said with slight smile.
"Yay!!" She smiled brightly.
'These peaceful moments weren't so bad after all', I thought while looking at her smile.
End.
