Chapter 26: The 2nd Trial

"Harue!!!" Mina shouted in excitement as she ran up to the orange haired teen.

Harue nodded at her with a smile as the pink skinned girl arrived infront of him.

"You were so fast!!! One moment you were right next to me then the next you were gone with a wooosh-" The girl waved her arms in an animated manner as she talked.

In the end her eyes turned starry as she said to him. "You were so awesome!!!"

"Haha thanks Mina," Hare chuckled a bit as he then pinched her cheek. "You did a good jop as well!"

"14th is very impressive!"

"Stawp thaat!" She swatted his hand away.

Their antics continued until the final contestants finished the race.

...…

"And so it's over!!! here are the results everyone!!" Midnight points to the massive screen in the center which showed everyone's results.

"The top 42 have earned the right to advance!!!"

"For the kids who failed, DONT BE DISCOURAGED AS YOU STILL HAVE 2 MORE YEARS TO GO!!"

She then stood in the center stage as she opened her arms and announced.

"AND NOW FOR THE SECOND ROUND….."

The screen started shifting as a new set of kanji was being formed.

"THE HUMAN CAVALRY BATTLE!!!"

The students looked at each other in confusion.

"A Calvary battle!?"

"But how can we do that as individuals, how is it going to work?" A confused Asui asked Midnight.

"You can all form teams of 2-4 freely and form a horse configuration!!!" The risky 18+ heroine explained as she then talked more about the rules.

"The only difference being that everyone will receive headbands with points based on their performance!"

"So 5 points for 42nd, 10 for 41st, 15 for 40th and etcetera"

"With the exception of first place whose head is worth….."

"10 MILLION POINTS!!!"

"!!?"

Immediately everyone turned and looked at the first place finisher.

Hare seeing all of them just smiled back calmly.

"That makes this a bit interesting!" He said confidently as he stared back at the crowd who was looking at him like a juicy steak.

"THOSE AT THE TOP MERELY ENCOUNTER MORE OBSTACLES SO TO THE PLAYER REP DO YOU BEST!!" Midnight pointed at Harue with a mischievous smile on her face.

"Time limit is 15 minutes. The point value is the cumulative of each person's points on the team's horse formation!!"

Midnight then continues for a while but finally finishes her explanations.

"START NEGOTIATING YOUR TEAM-UPS!"

Instantly Harue was surrounded by quite a few contestants.

'Well I guess even with the massive target on my back I'm still a good choice for a teammate' he thought as he politely rejected them.

"Sorry guys I've already decided!" He apologized as he and Mina walked away and approached Kirishima.

"Hey EI want to join us!!" Hare called out to the MANLY teen.

"Sorry man but I've decided to go with Bakugo, yours and Todoroki-kuns words also riled me so I'm going to try my best and show everyone that im also not to be underestimated!!!" Kirishima answered with an apologetic look that quickly turned determined.

Harue smiled at him as he responded.

"Thats awesome man!! Well try your hardest! because I'm not going to go easy on you then." 

After joking with each other for a bit, Mina and Harue wished him luck and walked away.

"Well I guess it's just the two of us~" teased Mina as they got their headbands.

They decided that she should be the horse rider seeing as she couldn't really carry the tall boy by herself.

"Mhm" nodded Harue as his smile suddenly turned mischievous.

"Kyaa~" Mina screamed in fright as a pair of hands grabbed her waist and pulled her to the air as she then sat on Harue shoulders.

"Yeah just the two of us missy~" Harue teased back as he looked up at her blushing face.

"You dummy" she meekly responded.

...…..

"ALL RIGHT, THE TIMES UP!!!"

"SO LETS START THE CAVALRY BATTLE WITH A COUNTDOWN!!"

The teams began to quiet down as they wait for the battle to start.

"3!!" Todoroki's team immediately turn serious as they stared at Harue and Mina

"2!!" Team Bakugo does as well as Bakugo clenched his fists.

Midoriya's face turns serious as he also nods to Uraraka,Tokoyami and Mei.

"1... Start!!"

*swoosh*

Instantly a massive wave of ice headed towards Harue and Mina as it froze the floor.

"Already after me…" Harue smirks as his lower body suddenly combusts into flame.

And with a bright flash he and Mina are suddenly a dozen feet in the air.

"Ahhh- you idiot!!" Screams Mina as she clenched his head.

'Her thighs are soft' thinks the teen as he feels them on his shoulders.

"Warn me next time!!"

"Sorry~" Harue cheekily replied as they floated in the air.

[WOAH WHAT A MOVE BY HARUE DAI!!]

Present Mic comments on the confrontation.

[but this seems a bit unfair…]

And he is right it was unfair.

The ability to fly was certainly a rare one, much less one with the mobility and speed that Harue's quirk had.

"Dude thats so unfair!!!" Screams Kaminari seeing him dodge Todoroki's ice.

Hare chuckled as he answered.

"So is everyone teaming up on me, but I didn't complain about that so just get gud you scrubs"

Todoroki face scowled as he raised his hand and a wall of ice shot up at the flameing teen.

Who dodged it with ease, seemingly not even trying.

"That's it Todoroki!? I expected much more from you seeing as you were so arrogant in the waiting room!"

"I guess Endeavor didn't teach you enough!!"

Todoroki clenched his fist in anger at the mention of the man he hated the most.

Small flame escaping from his hand, which the teen quickly willed to go away.

*boom*

"Dai!!" Bakugo screamed as his body launched into the air with his explosion.

But just as he was closing in on them Harue smiled at him and just sped away.

"YOU FUCKING COWARD!!!" The blonde teen exploded in anger as he tried to catch him desperately.

He soon gave up as he couldn't keep up with Harue's speed.

And so the battle continued as the teams fought each other.

Class 1-A was dominating as Todoroki and Bakugo gave up chasing after the 10 million points.

Team Midoriya was also doing quite good as their mobility was unmatched thanks to Mei's babies paired with Tokoyamis dark shadow.

"It feels weird…" commented Mina as she played with Harue's hair.

"Hmm?" Harue replied enjoying her soft hands.

"They're trying so hard to win while we just sit here!" 

"Well who told your boyfriend to be so powerful" Harue boasts as he looks up at Mina getting a good view of her chest in the process.

"You're shameless!" Mina says with a blank look on her face as Harue laughed.

And so 15 minutes went by as the cavalry battle ended.

[ TIMES UP!! ]

Immediately the teams stopped attacking each other as they waited for the results.

Harue and Mina also descended to the ground.

The flaming teen ignored the hateful looks sent his way by the others as he put Mina down.

Present Mic then started announcing the results.

[ NOW SHALL WE SEE WHO OUR TOP FOUR ARE!! ]

[ IN FIRST PLACE TEAM MINA ] 

The crowd roared im excitement as they cheered the couple.

[ IN SECOND PLACE TEAM BAKUGO ]

[ IN THIRD PLACE TEAM TODOROKI ]

The crowd held their breath as they waited for the final results.

Midoriya clenched his fist as he looked at the screen in nervousness.

Shinsou also was doing the same after releasing his confused team from his control.

[ AND FINALLY IN FOURTH PLACE IS….]

[ TEAM MIDORIYA!!! ]

Shinsou clenched his fist as he stared at Deku and his team celebrating in joy.

'What did you expect…' he says to himself.

'Your quirk is not made for a Hero!'

He ignored his teammates who tried to talk with him as he walks away.

But he stopped as he heard present mic say.

[ LADIES AND GENTLEMEN THERE HAS BEEN A REVISION SEEING AS ONLY 14 PEOPLE HAVE PASSED THIS EVENT INSTEAD OF THE EXPECTED 16 ]

Everyone turns to Mina and Harue knowing that because these two didn't accept anyone in their team this had happened.

[ IT HAS BEEN DECIDED THAT 2 STUDENTS FROM THE TEAM IN 5th PLACE ARE ALSO ALLOWED TO ADVANCE TO THE FINAL EVENT ]

Shinsou stopped as he turned to The pace Aizawa and Mic were and listened in shock.

[ THAT TEAM BEING TEAM SHINSOU!!!]

"WE WILL BE BACK AFTER A ONE HOUR BREAK IN WHICH THE TWO STUDENT FROM THE CHISEN TEAM WILL BE PICKED!!" Present mic announced as he and Aizawa also went out to take a break.
