Chapter 96: Chapter 95 it's Foul Sensei
Kirishima Eijiro had a bad feeling from the start and quickly tried to calm Bakugo.
"Bakugo, don't let him get to you!"
Meanwhile, Monoma Neito's teammates sensed something was off.
"Monoma, are you okay?" one of them asked, noticing his pale complexion.
Monoma greedily sucked in air before reaching out to touch one of his teammates, seemingly recovering a bit. The giant sand-shaped hand he had just summoned crumbled into loose sand, scattering across the ground.
"I'm fine," Monoma muttered, though his face was still tense. "I just encountered… something strange. His Quirk—it's too much for my body to handle."
His teammates stared at him, shocked.
"Too much? You've never said anything like that before!" one exclaimed.
Monoma frowned deeply. "Neither have I. This is the first time I've come across a Quirk that feels… overwhelming."
After copying Akira's Quirk, Monoma had initially felt fine. But as soon as he activated it, an intense strain engulfed his body, draining both his physical and mental strength at an alarming rate. If he hadn't canceled the ability in time, he might have collapsed on the spot.
"Let's get out of here," Monoma said, his voice heavy.
Before they could move, Akira's voice rang out.
"Leave? Haha! You think you can provoke me and just walk away?"
Monoma smirked, regaining some of his composure. "What's wrong? Have you forgotten what Midnight-sensei said? A vicious attack aimed at breaking another team's formation will result in disqualification. I don't have a single point left right now. So, unless you're planning to attack viciously, I don't see how you can stop me."
He chuckled, his confidence returning. "Of course, if you do attack me, I don't mind. Getting you disqualified would be worth it."
Akira narrowed his eyes, his irritation growing. He wasn't about to let Monoma off so easily.
Pulling off two headbands from his neck, Akira threw one to Bakugo and tossed the other toward Monoma.
"Bakugo, remember what Midnight-sensei didn't say. She didn't say anything about collateral damage when fighting over points."
Bakugo grinned widely, catching the headband. "Oh yeah, she didn't say that at all."
Monoma's smirk faltered. "No… hurry! Get to where it's crowded!" he barked at his team.
Akira sneered, raising his hand. In an instant, walls of sand rose around Monoma's group, cutting off their escape and boxing them in with both Akira's and Bakugo's teams.
"Bakugo, let's have some fun," Akira said with a smirk.
"Hah! I've been waiting for this!" Bakugo roared, his palms crackling with explosions as he charged forward.
Monoma's teammates panicked. "We're surrounded! What do we do?!"
"I told you not to provoke them!" one teammate hissed.
Monoma clenched his fists, cursing under his breath. "If you don't want to get hit, then run! Don't just stand there waiting for it!"
But before they could move, Bakugo unleashed an explosion. The blast narrowly missed Monoma's team, leaving a scorched crater in the ground.
"Run! Run!" Monoma screamed as his team bolted in panic, only to find themselves met with another attack.
"Sandstorm Impact!" Akira shouted, launching a massive sand projectile at Monoma's group.
The attack missed by a hair, crashing through the sand wall and leaving a gaping hole. Monoma's team barely managed to dive out of the way, their legs trembling as they scrambled for safety.
"Missed again, Akira," Bakugo taunted, his grin widening.
"You're one to talk. Your aim's no better," Akira shot back, smirking.
Both of their teammates rolled their eyes.
"Those two…" Yaoyorozu Momo muttered, exasperated. "I almost feel bad for Monoma. Almost."
Hatsume Mei chuckled. "I'd be more worried about us if they ever teamed up for real."
Monoma, meanwhile, had completely lost his composure. His voice cracked as he shouted desperately.
"Midnight-sensei! It's a foul! They're both breaking the rules!"
