Maybe My Soulmate! (GL)

Chapter 196: THE TRUTH!

As Mo Yuxin and Su Yubing were lost in each other's warmth, their bodies pressed close, a sudden chime echoed through the room, cutting through the heated atmosphere.

A glowing message appeared beside them—it was from the Hongmen Order.

Mo Yuxin groaned in frustration. She had been completely caught up in the moment, her desire growing stronger with every kiss and touch. But now, she was pulled back to reality in the most annoying way possible.

Her eyes darkened with irritation when she saw the sender—Tan Qingxuan, her master.

Of all people, it had to be her.

Mo Yuxin felt like crying. She wanted nothing more than to ignore the message and bury herself in Su Yubing's arms again, but she couldn't. It was her master. She had to answer.

Still, that didn't mean she had to be happy about it.

With a dramatic sigh, she collapsed into Su Yubing's arms, rubbing her face against her soft chest like a spoiled child. "Yubing… I'm so sad…" she mumbled pitifully.

Su Yubing chuckled softly, looking down at her lover with gentle amusement. "So sad?" she repeated, brushing her fingers through Mo Yuxin's dark hair.

Mo Yuxin nodded dramatically. "I was just getting to the best part," she whined, her voice muffled as she buried herself even deeper into Su Yubing's embrace. "Now I feel so wronged! You have to comfort me, Yubing."

Su Yubing couldn't help but laugh. "Alright, alright," she said, wrapping her arms around Mo Yuxin and holding her close.

Mo Yuxin sighed happily as Su Yubing's scent filled her nose. She rubbed against her greedily, like a cat seeking affection. "Mmm… you smell so good," she murmured, her voice thick with satisfaction. "Let me stay like this for a while."

Su Yubing smiled helplessly, knowing there was no use fighting it. She gently kissed Mo Yuxin's forehead, then her cheeks, before patting her head like a child. "There, there," she cooed softly. "You poor thing."

Mo Yuxin hummed in pleasure, her body relaxing under Su Yubing's touch. She clung to her tightly, unwilling to let go.

Minutes passed.

Five minutes…

Then ten.

Su Yubing finally sighed. She knew Mo Yuxin too well. If she didn't stop now, this spoiled troublemaker would keep acting pitiful forever, completely forgetting about the message from her master.

With a firm but gentle push, she lifted Mo Yuxin's face and met her eyes. "Alright, that's enough," she said with a small smile. "You have a message to answer."

Mo Yuxin pouted, clearly unwilling to move. "Just a little longer—"

"No," Su Yubing interrupted with a chuckle, tapping her on the nose.

Mo Yuxin sighed dramatically but finally sat up, looking at the glowing message with reluctant eyes. "Fine, fine," she grumbled. "But I'm collecting interest on this later, Yubing. You owe me even more kisses now."

Su Yubing shook her head in amusement. "We'll see."

Mo Yuxin smirked, her eyes lighting up mischievously. "You'll see, alright," she muttered under her breath before finally opening the message.

The glowing message told them, "Gather at Qingxuan Peak. Su Yubing, come with Mo Yuxin." Mo Yuxin did not know what the message meant. She quickly showed the message to Su Yubing. Both of them felt curious and decided to fly to Qingxuan Peak without delay.

They flew high in the sky until they reached the peak. When they landed, many people were already there.

The peak was busy with family-like warmth. At one side stood the eldest sister, Xu Xian, holding the hand of her kind and gentle wife, the fourth junior sister, Bai Xuzhen, smiled as she greeted everyone. Also present was the third junior sister, Tianji Yuan, who came with her loving wife, the youngest junior sister, Bai Lingshu, her eyes bright with excitement.

At the center of the group was Master Tang Qingxuan. Her presence was calm and strong. Beside her sat Grandmaster Tong Rouxi. Tong Rouxi was not only Master Tang Qingxuan's partner; she was also the one whom Tang Qingxuan loved the most. They sat together like two warm hearts in the middle of the family.

When Mo Yuxin and Su Yubing arrived, everyone greeted them with warm smiles and kind words. The air was full of friendly voices and gentle laughter. Xu Xian stepped forward first and hugged Mo Yuxin and Su Yubing. The others soon followed, giving friendly pats on the shoulder and offering kind greetings. It felt like a big family reunion where everyone cared for each other.

After the happy greetings, Master Tang Qingxuan stood up slowly. With a soft smile on her face, she walked over to Tong Rouxi. In a very tender way, Master Tang Qingxuan leaned in and kissed Tong Rouxi. She gently ran her fingers through Tong Rouxi's hair. The sight made all the five disciples who were watching feel shy. Their faces turned a bright red, and they giggled quietly, feeling a little awkward at the loving display.

The warm and gentle kiss between Master Tang Qingxuan and Tong Rouxi filled the air with love and affection. Even though the disciples felt embarrassed, they also felt happy because they knew that love was very important to their family. After the quiet moment of tender affection, Master Tang Qingxuan looked around and cleared her throat to get everyone's attention.

Now, the room grew quiet. All eyes turned to Master Tang Qingxuan. In a calm and clear voice, she began to speak about an important matter.

Master Tang Qingxuan's eyes grew very serious. The joyful smile faded from her face, and the warm light in the room seemed to dim a little. She looked at everyone with great concern and began to speak in a calm, clear voice.

"After we finished with the Hua family, I found some incredible news," Master Tang Qingxuan said. Her voice was low and full of worry. "The Battle of Wuhuan, which happened a hundred years ago, was not a simple war. It was started by a powerful being. This being is very strong, and it wanted to cause a bloody war between humans and demons. We do not know why it wants this, and we do not know who it is."

A hush fell over the group. The disciples and family members listened with great care. Master Tang Qingxuan took a slow breath before continuing. "Grandmaster Tong Rouxi has used her special gift to see the future. Her divination tells us that another war is coming. This war may soon be on the whole world. It is very likely that the same powerful being that started the Wuhuan war is behind this new danger. We must stop it before it is too late."

The room grew quiet as everyone thought about these words. The idea of a new war made many hearts beat fast with fear and uncertainty. Master Tang Qingxuan then turned her eyes to Mo Yuxin and Su Yubing. "You two must now go out to venture many places in the world where the clues of this new being and his followers could be found and try to find the answer to all the conspiracy that is going on behind everything and this war. There, you will investigate and search for answers. Your grandmaster's divination shows that clue to winning this war lies in the fates of Mo Yuxin and Su Yubing."

Mo Yuxin and Su Yubing exchanged a look. They both felt the weight of their new task. Even though they had just shared tender moments, duty now called them to a greater challenge. They nodded slowly in agreement.

As the meeting came to an end, Mo Yuxin and Su Yubing stepped forward to greet their master and grandmaster. "Thank you, Master," Mo Yuxin said softly. Su Yubing added, "We will not fail you."

Before they left, Master Tang Qingxuan and Grandmaster Tong Rouxi shared another moment of warmth. The master leaned in and kissed Tong Rouxi gently, and then she ran her fingers through Tong Rouxi's hair. Their tender display made the five disciples look down and blush, feeling both awkward and happy to see such affection.

Despite the soft and loving moment, the serious news hung in the air. One by one, the family members and disciples began to move away, returning to their own tasks. Mo Yuxin and Su Yubing said goodbye to their master and grandmaster, promising to head immediately to the first place of clue that grandmaster gave them. They knew that the fate of both humans and demons might rest on the answers they would find there.

And so, with heavy hearts and determined minds, everyone left the gathering on Qingxuan Peak.

..

..

Three months have passed since that day on the Qingxuan peak.

In these long months, the Cangran Sect worked very hard to find the truth behind the chaos in the world. Many brave warriors and wise elders joined together. But most of the work was done by Mo Yuxin and Su Yubing. They traveled to many places and gathered clues. They risked their lives and fought many battles against the blind believers who followed the dark path. The secret they uncovered was both terrible and amazing.

It was soon revealed that the source of the coming war was not a simple quarrel between demons and humans. Instead, a deep conspiracy had been woven over many ages by one powerful being—the God of Darkness. Long ago, in the history of this world, demons were the first to be born. They were created by the great Demon Goddess Freya. After her, many gods and goddesses were born, and later, humans came into being too.

Humans were different from demons. Humans had short lives, but they grew strong through learning, art, and creativity. Demons, on the other hand, grew stronger by passing their power down in their bloodline. In the very beginning, the first humans were taught by the kind and wise Goddess Freya. She also chose the first seven humans to become gods. These seven were her special disciples, and they learned all the secrets of life and power.

As time passed, many new gods and goddesses were born from the demons. Among them, there was one who was very different from the others. He was the Demon God of Darkness. Although he was born with his kind, he was not like the others. The gentle Goddess Freya always felt a strange warning in her heart whenever he was near. She did not know what it was, but she sensed a hidden danger in him.

The Demon God of Darkness began to work in secret. He wove an intricate plan and slowly stirred trouble between the gods of demons and the gods of humans. He wanted to break the old balance that had kept peace between the two races. He spread lies and hatred, and soon a great war was started. This war was not natural—it was started on purpose by the God of Darkness. He wanted to see great loss and sacrifice so that he could have absolute power. In his heart, he wished to wipe out both humans and demons and rule over all.

The war that began long ago, called the Battle of Wuhuantian, was one of his many plans. In that ancient war, many lives were lost. The kind Goddess Freya fought with all her strength to protect both demons and humans. In the end, she gave her life in the battle. But even in death, she used her last power to seal the God of Darkness. Many lives were lost that day, and the world was filled with sorrow. However, the seal held him at bay for many years.

Yet now, after many centuries, dark signs had begun to appear. The God of Darkness was trying to break free from his seal. His followers, hidden in the human world, had worked in secret. They used the greed of some humans and the ambition of certain demons to help him. Slowly, they began to stir up trouble again. They wanted to start a new war. They spread lies, inciting hatred between humans and demons. Their goal was clear: the God of Darkness wanted to destroy the old peace and rule the world with cruelty and fear.
