Marvel's Black Steel

Chapter 220: Chapter 218: Mjolnir

"Are you sure about this, Pete? I don't want to discourage you, but I deal with a lot of dangerous people. Gangs, Mutants, people with guns, pretty much anything dangerous you could think of." Remarked Tut lightly with a slight frown as he glanced at Peter while spinning on a revolving chair, prompting him to nod firmly.

"Yes. Uncle Ben had always said it best. With great power comes great responsibility." Stated Peter solemnly as he looked at Tut, who stopped himself before sighing and shrugging his shoulders,

"Haa, well, I'm not your daddy; I can't tell you what you can and can't do. But this line of work is pretty dangerous, so don't come crying to me if you end up with a broken arm; I'll just laugh." Said Tut lightly as he raised his arms into the air while looking at Peter, whose expression twitched in annoyance at his words.

"Glad to know I have such caring friends." Said Peter blandly as he looked at Tut, who flashed a smirk before furrowing his brows.

"Anyways, where is Gwen? Isn't this supposed to be a you and her thing? I don't mind helping, but I feel like I'm taking her spot right now." "Oh, well, I called her, but she said she was busy." Remarked Tut and Peter, respectively, as the former rubbed his expression in confusion while shifting his gaze to the latter, who dismissively waved his hand before grabbing a piece of paper.

"So, I was thinking, since you wear a suit, I should as well, and since my powers resemble a spider, I added a little spider design on the chest." Said Peter excitedly as he held the paper in front of Tut while pointing at the drawing, causing him to nod.

The drawing was of a red and blue, full-body suit with a cape and an eye mask; it didn't look that bad for a rough draft, but if I was honest, it resembled my outfit a little too much. However, before I even bothered speaking on his suit ideas, I grabbed the paper before tossing it behind me.

"Pete, c'mon man, I'll let it slide when it was before you got your powers, but now?" Said Tut with a firm expression as he folded his arms and stared fixedly at Peter, who tilted his head in confusion while picking up the paper.

"What are you talking about, Tut?" "Haa, my goodness, Peter Parker, you're about to piss me off." Remarked Peter and Tut, respectively, as the former glanced at the latter, who rubbed his temples in frustration.

"It's Gwen, Pete! She's fucking in love with you." Stated Tut in annoyance as he glared at Peter, whose eyes widened in shock and disbelief.

"Tut, a-are you being serious?" "Pete, she's been in love with you for years, since we were 13!" Said Peter and Tut, respectively, as the former eyed the latter, who simply nodded in annoyance.

"A-Are you sure? I-I always thought Gwen had a crush on you." Said Peter with an unsightly expression as he sat on the desk while rubbing his head in confusion before glancing at Tut, who scoffed.

"Hmph, I wish. She's probably the hottest person I know if I'm being honest… Don't tell her I said that." Muttered Tut lightly as he stood up and stretched before shushing his mouth while eyeing Peter.

"Ugh, now I feel like an ass. I've been so focused on MJ that I never even noticed her feelings for me. She's probably pissed with me." Said Peter softly as he groaned in frustration while sighing, only for Tut to pat his shoulders.

"Yep, and you know what else? That sounds awfully similar to a YOU problem. So see ya." Stated Tut softly as he looked at Peter, who raised his head, only for him to smirk while his figure vanished.

Leaving the abandoned train station, I quickly flew into the sky, ignoring Pete as he quietly cursed at me; as for me, since I had nothing to do, I just flew around the world, visiting several cities across the globe as I let my presence be known, ensuring everyone knew Blacksteel was on patrol.

'Ugh, it's still so corny. Couldn't Sarah have picked a better name?' Thought Tut with an unsightly expression as he clicked his tongue before lowering his head and sighing while launching into the distance with a sonic boom.

Ever since Mr. Parker's funeral, I've tried several times to speak with Jean, yet, each time would be met with failure, and although I hated how she prevented Tut and I from being together, deep down, I was really beginning to miss her. It's been nearly two and a half months since our fight, and the anger has long since vanished; now, all that remained was regret and sorrow.

Standing just outside Jean's door, I took a deep breath and calmed my anxious heart before knocking on the door for the thirtieth time, hoping now I would finally get a response.

"Jean… It's Sara… C-Can we talk, please?" Asked Sara softly as she leaned against the door, awaiting a response from Jean, one that never came.

After waiting several minutes, I softly sighed in frustration at another useless attempt before sliding down against the door, sitting down as an hour of pure silence passed. Just as I was about to get up after wasting away an hour, I suddenly fell backward as the door opened, causing my head to hit the ground as I glanced at Jean, who was emotionlessly glancing at me.

Jean didn't say anything and simply stepped over me as she headed to the bathroom, though I used that chance to enter her room as I sat on her bed. After she returned, she gave me an indifferent glance before she closed the door and sat beside me on the bed.

Although I've been dying to get the chance to speak with Jean, now that I finally had it, I didn't know what to say; any apologies would just feel shallow; after all, I-I wasn't sorry. I couldn't be, not when I also loved Pharaoh. In the end, after several minutes, I decided to just take a risk as I told her how I was truly feeling.

"I miss you, Jean." Stated Sara firmly as she turned and glanced at Jean, who bit her lip before lowering her head.

"I-I miss you as well, Sara." Muttered Jean softly as she clenched her fist, only to shake her head while shutting her eyes.

"But, I-I just can't forgive you for what you did, Sara. You went behind my back and stabbed me in the heart… You betrayed my trust and feelings. E-Even if I want things to return to normal, I-I just can't forgive you so easily." Added Jean weakly as she turned and looked at Sara with teary eyes, causing her to softly sigh while nodding.

Grabbing Jean's hands, I held them tightly and kneeled before her as I stared into her eyes, which seemed to contain so many emotions as she looked at me.

"I understand, Jean, and that's fine; I'm not asking for things to return to normal immediately. I just want us to head in the right direction; even if it takes years, I'll be happy." Stated Sara solemnly as she looked at Jean, who once forced a small smile before sighing.

"Listen, Jean, I know my words may not sound convincing right now, but I love you, all right. You're my adorable little sister; you were like a star in my world when you were born. I'll always be here to support you, and no matter what happens in the future between us, you'll always be my family. That will never change; not even Pharaoh could change that." Added Sara as she firmly held Jean's hands while staring into her eyes.

Feeling a bit embarrassed at my words, I stood up and embraced her in a short hug before turning around and leaving the room; we may not have discussed anything regarding Pharaoh, but I was more than satisfied.

'Now to take a shower to rid myself of that embarrassment.' thought Sara lightly as she entered the bathroom while Jean ever-so-faintly smiled to herself.

However, unbeknownst to them, while Jean and Sara had been speaking to each other, a hammer and a hunk of a man of unknown origins crash-landed in New Mexico in the middle of a lightning storm.

Flying above a temporary Shield base in New Mexico, I lowered myself to the ground and entered, not needing to identify myself as no one could imitate me, not even Mystique.

'Alright, Why the hell did Fury ask me to come here?' Thought Tut with a curious expression as he walked through the base, only to spot Coulson in the distance.

"Yo, Coulson, what's going on, man?" Asked Tut with a faint smile as he dapped Coulson, who awkwardly copied him before clearing his throat.

"Well, a hammer of unknown origins fell from the sky. We've been unable to budge it, and I was hoping you could change that." Replied Coulson as he glanced at Tut while pointing at the wall, prompting him to shift his focus.

Looking through the walls, I saw the hammer Coulson was talking about, yet I furrowed my brows as it seemed oddly familiar.

'Huh, I'm pretty sure I've seen that hammer before, but where?' Thought Tut with a confused expression as he rubbed his chin.

Damn, Pete got that Hentai protagonist level of denseness.
