Marvel: My Sign-in System

Chapter 285: C276

However, due to the sheer numbers of their enemies, even though they were ultimately crushed, the Asgardian forces still suffered considerable casualties.

Death is always a sorrowful event.

Yet in Asgard, warriors take great pride in dying on the battlefield.

Thus, the Asgardians did not mourn their fallen soldiers but instead celebrated them, for they knew that those who perished in battle did not truly die—they lived on in another form within the Hall of Valor.

With Surtur, the great adversary, vanquished and Ragnarok averted, it was only natural for Asgard to hold a grand feast.

The scale of the celebration was enormous—so much so that it could be called a kingdom-wide festival.

Asgard, with its vast resources, was more than capable of hosting such a grand event.

Laughter, cheers, toasts, and the sounds of revelry echoed throughout the golden city.

At this banquet, the undisputed protagonist was Leon.

Unlike previous open-air festivities, this was a noble banquet of the highest standard.

Present were Thor, Frigga, seventeen Asgardian commanders, members of the royal family, and other distinguished figures.

The reason was simple—while Wanda, Natasha, and others had previously been regarded as Thor's equals, necessitating no extravagant ceremony, Leon was different.

His status, strength, and influence were comparable to that of Odin himself.

Not only was he the guardian of Midgard, but he had also personally defeated Surtur and secured victory for Asgard.

Naturally, the banquet's scale had to reflect this.

It was the highest-tier gathering, and among those in Asgard, only Odin and Frigga could truly be considered Leon's equals.

With Odin still in his deep slumber, it fell to Frigga to host him.

The banquet in the palace was far more refined than any other.

Within a grand and spacious hall, long rectangular tables were laden with exquisite dishes and fine wine.

Leon sat at the head table alongside Natasha, Wanda, Frigga, Thor, and other deities, feasting, drinking, and conversing.

All the attendees wore elegant, luxurious attire.

Graceful Asgardian dancers performed beautifully choreographed routines, including dramatic plays and war dances.

In terms of entertainment, Asgard was in no way inferior to Earth—in some aspects, it even surpassed it, boasting a rich cultural heritage that left its guests in awe.

Some performances, however, took a humorous turn, drawing laughter from Leon, Natasha, and the others.

The comedic timing of the actors was simply impeccable.

For Leon, Natasha, and Wanda, this banquet was a fresh and enjoyable experience.

Seated comfortably with a goblet of wine in hand, Frigga engaged Leon in lighthearted conversation.

Her words carried the grace and wisdom befitting the Queen of Asgard, exuding a warmth that put others at ease.

Leon found himself holding a favorable impression of her.

It was clear that while Odin had been Asgard's mighty ruler on the battlefield, Frigga had been the one ensuring stability within its walls, providing indispensable support to his reign.

As they conversed, Frigga suddenly shifted the topic.

She glanced at the actors performing before them, her expression thoughtful.

Then, with a gentle yet deliberate tone, she asked, "Leon, what are your thoughts on this war?"

Leon, ever perceptive, countered with a question of his own.

"What does the Queen think?"

Frigga did not hesitate.

With solemnity, she replied, "This was a provocation and a declaration of war against Asgard."

She paused briefly before adding, "But beyond that, it was also a test."

"Are you referring to Loki?" Leon asked directly, cutting straight to the heart of the matter.

Frigga's gaze remained steady.

"Leon, what do you think Loki's next move will be?"

Leon's eyes flicked toward the other end of the hall, where Thor, Sergei, Pietro, and a group of warriors were drinking merrily.

He then responded, "If I had to guess, the Queen suspects Loki has further plans—perhaps a war on Midgard?"

Frigga nodded slightly, her voice calm but firm.

"In the beginning, I believe Loki's original intent was to continue infiltrating Asgard. But your presence, Leon, has disrupted his plans."

She sighed."I know my son well. He is not one to easily let go of his ambitions. No matter what his ultimate goal may be, I am certain that his next target will be Midgard."

Her words were a clear warning, spoken with genuine sincerity.

However, their implications left little room for Loki to be absolved in the future.

Leon understood this well.

To him, Loki was insignificant.

More precisely, regardless of what Loki did on Earth, Asgard's vested interest in him made it unlikely that Leon would kill him outright.

There was no benefit in eliminating Loki.

Moreover, Loki had never directly wronged Leon.

If anything, Loki's misdeeds presented an opportunity.

No matter how much trouble he caused, Asgard would eventually take responsibility, and Leon's involvement would only deepen Asgard's debt of gratitude toward him.

In short, Loki's actions were an investment—one that promised to yield considerable goodwill in return.

Thinking this, Leon simply said, "Thank you for the warning, Queen Frigga."

As he spoke, he let out a soft sigh.

"Still, Loki's mind was forcibly tampered with. The true culprits—the ones who orchestrated these events—should be the ones held accountable."

Frigga's expression darkened.

"Asgard will not forgive them."

There was a distinct shift in her tone.

As Loki's mother, she had long harbored quiet anger toward those who had manipulated her son, pushing him toward grave misdeeds.

That anger now burned openly.

It was clear—Frigga's patience had worn thin.

The true architect of this manipulation, Thanos, would not have an easy future.

Compared to the might of Asgard, Thanos was merely a warlord—a powerful one, certainly, but still just a warlord.

If Asgard were to unleash its full wrath upon him, issuing a royal decree to eradicate him at all costs, then even Thanos would be forced into hiding.

Yet, it was far more likely that the task of confronting him would fall to Thor and his brother.

Leon, however, did not linger on the subject of Thanos.

Instead, he turned to Frigga with a request.

"Queen Frigga, are you familiar with Chaos Magic?"

"You mean Wanda's abilities?"

"Yes," Leon confirmed.

"Wanda has a deep interest in magic, particularly Asgardian rune magic."
