"Do you know if any human has attempted to learn Mana Cultivation?" Xavier asked.
"I have no idea; I've never even seen a human apart from you, though I've seen drawings," Sylve replied.
"Same for me, too; I'm going to like elves if all of them are as beautiful as you," Xavier spoke.
"I don't mean to brag, but I'm second only to the princess of our kingdom," Sylve said with a smug expression.
"I want to ask you a question; you can choose not to answer me. I'll understand; how did you die?"
"I was betrayed. That's all I'm going to say; how did you die?" She asked back.
"A trap, I was exploring a dungeon"
"I've never explored a dungeon before"
"Wait...how did you get so powerful? What do your people fight against? Do you have beasts over there that you can't defeat?" Xavier asked.
If Sylve was this strong, and there were elves as strong as her or more than her, then who were they fighting against?
"Malvazir" Sylve replied.
"Malvazir, what is that?" Xavier asked.
"An entity created out of corruption, it feeds on the greed of elves and corrupts their soul turning them into dark elves, of course, there are beasts but Malvazir is the main problem, elves train their spirit to resist him but of course, it doesn't always work"
"He corrupts elves"
"Yes, I'm sure it's not in your history books but it's in mine, though I haven't personally seen any dark elves, my mum had seen one in her days, their strength and power are multiple by dark magic, it takes at least 2 elves to bring down a single dark elf"
Xavier was surprised; he knew from books and movies that there were dark elves, but in the books he read, they were given birth to, not corrupted elves.
"Is Malvazir a person that can be seen, has anyone seen the real Malvazir?"
"I have no idea, the elves that get corrupted lose their memories and some of them disappear after causing destruction, we also have no idea where any of the dark elves go"
"Have you ever been tempted?" Xavier asked with a smile.
"It's not a joke, but I've never been, even my mum hasn't, not all elves get tempted because most elves are pure in heart"
"If you haven't seen a dark elf that means they haven't been one for 170 years?"
"There are three elven kingdoms, and many cities and villages, since I was born, there have been six cases but none were in my kingdom"
"Okay, people in your kingdom are pure," Xavier spoke, and Sylve chuckled as she saw Xavier's face.
"What about you humans, what are you fighting against?" She asked.
"Beasts... The kingdom I was born in was attacked; that's the whole reason I'm here," Xavier spoke.
"Attacked? But you just told me you died in a dungeon?"
"Yes, in a dungeon in the beast continent, I was teleported there by one of the people that attacked our kingdom," Xavier said.
"You were teleported from the human continent to the beast continent. Does someone even have that capability without connecting to a magic circle in the beast continent? Who attacked your kingdom?"
"Demons and beasts, I fought a beastkin so I'm sure they're working together, I'm planning to return to the human continent but you know the rest"
"Every specie has their problems," Sylve spoke, and Xavier nodded.
"I should bring down the wall since we're done," Sylve replied as the vines and flowers began retreating into the ground, and the stone bed also went back down.
Sylve then removed the stone wall; none of the others even noticed it as the Harpy was still unconscious, and Dragonborn was at the other end training.
"Look like no one noticed we were even gone" Sylve muttered.
"The Harpy still hasn't woken up, and besides, everyone is resting; we have no idea what the next challenge will be or if we will all survive to the end," Xavier spoke.
"You know, I've thought about this Tower, and I came up with one thing; I think we're going to fight against ourselves," Sylve spoke as she looked at Xavier.
He wasn't surprised or shocked by her reasoning because he already thought the same thing.
"You already thought the same thing, that's the only way to make sure people lose, but I still think we'll face more difficult beasts"
"Maybe the first five floors are designed like this to make people think they have a chance at clearing all the floors, and then they get killed," Xavier replied.
"If we survive till the end, and it comes to a fight to the death, who would you like to face?" Sylve asked.
"Dragonborn" Xavier replied almost immediately.
"You know you can't beat him, right? It's impossible for you to win against him; I'm not saying that because you aren't powerful, but it's impossible?" Sylve spoke but Xavier didn't answer as he opened his stats page.

Sorry for not updating for some days now; I'll be doing a mass release of 5 chapters on February 1 to make up for it; thanks for reading my book. Also, I have a new book I'm sure you'll like, SSS-Ranked Skill in a New Filthy World.
