Chapter 120: Envoys from the Royal family
Leon stood up and stretched his limbs; his body made cracking sounds, and he felt energized. He went out of the house and entered the courtyard.
It was currently snowing in Hafari; the mountain peaks in the Falcon sect were covered in slow, and the same was for the sect grounds. The courtyard was covered in cold snow as well, and the petals of the big tree in the middle of the courtyard were now a mixture of two colors because of the snow.
The temperature was cool and snow drifted down from the sky, Leon stood on the porch of his house and stared at the beautiful scene; this was his first time seeing snow in Hafari, it seemed like the climatic change didn't follow normal protocols because there was no snow during the last year when he had just arrived here.
Leon felt the Shi and Qi in his body, he felt that he now had more control over the two energies after entering the 5th level; he could do more than what the average martial artist could do.
Of course, this change was more apparent with his spiritual Qi since origin Shi was very weak and had a lot of limitations.
He slowly lifted one of his hands while his other hand rested on his waist, a stream of blue energy appeared above his palm and stretched into the snow.
Leon controlled the spiritual Qi and made it grab some of the snow in a blue sphere before pulling it back to himself. The ball of snow and Qi flew toward Leon slowly and drifted around him, it released a cooling feel that was calming.
Leon released his control over it, causing the Qi to return to his body and the snow to fall down. He was pleased with his level of control, he could now grab objects with his Qi.
Leon stepped into the snow and walked toward the door of the courtyard, his sect robe and white hair fluttering beautifully behind him as snow fell toward him. But they were stopped by a faint glowing barrier that surrounded Leon's body, it was his origin Shi!
He was able to use his Shi as a protective barrier to block the snow; this would not be effective in fights, but it was good for blocking wind and dirt.
Leon stepped out of the courtyard and entered the forest; he stood on a high branch of a tall tree and gazed at the snow-covered sect grounds; it was a spectacular scene.
"I guess she still isn't back yet," Leon mumbled to himself.
He was talking about Lin Shuran. After finding out her true intention from her dream, Leon had been hoping for a chance to meet her again but she had left on a mission along with some elders and disciples the very next day.
It seemed like a campaign mission and the Falcon sect had to send representatives.
"Sigh, I can only wait for her to return," Leon said calmly, his eyes flashing with a faint shine.
Right at this moment, a loud gong sounded through the entire sect.
Leon looked over in surprise, the sound of the gong was so loud that it reached every corner of the sect.
" What's going on?" Leon wondered as he dashed down to see.
He reached the sect ground after a while and many disciples rushed toward the direction of the Grand hall.
The disciples immediately noticed him and greeted him warmly.
"What was that sound, what's happening?" Leon asked.
" Envoys of the royal family of the dynasty came to the sect, the sound is the sect calling all core disciples and prime disciples to the Grand hall." The disciple responded.
Leon nodded at her and walked past; he headed straight for the Grand Hall.
When he reached the space in front of the Grand Hall, Leon saw a small army of soldiers. Experience tales with My Virtual Library Empire
They wore fine pristine Golden armor with dragon carvings; their armor gleamed with faint light under the mute light of the snow-covered sky.
Their helmets had red plumes that were covered in snow and swayed in the cold wind, their eyes gazed at the falling snow through the open space on their helmets; their expressions showed discipline and fearlessness.
The small group seemed to be cut into three parties, one side had soldiers carrying long golden spears with shiny blades that seemed to be made out of strange materials. Another set were all carrying great swords on their backs or long sword scabbards attached to their waists.
The last group of soldiers were all men with large builds and all of them carried large golden shields with inscriptions of roaring dragons and soaring Phoenixes on them.
All of them stood in neat and orderly columns that displayed their unity and might; they all looked menacing despite being ordinary people.
Not a single one of these soldiers was a martial artist!
At a glance, one could tell that these were no ordinary soldiers, they were elite warriors of the dynasty!
Leon stared at them with a strange expression on his face, for the dynasty to send an envoy with such a company to the Falcon sect…
"The situation must be serious," Leon muttered to himself and approached the flight of stairs that led to the Grand hall.
Many core disciples and inner disciples of the sect gathered at the clearing outside the Grand hall but none of them dared to approach the stairs.
Leon only dared to walk up since he could not see any of the prime disciples or elders outside, they must be inside the hall.
The soldiers instantly turned to look at Leon when he reached the stairs. Their eyes were cold and piercing, but Leon wasn't scared.
He was, but just didn't show it.
They turned to look back at the snow after seeing the color of his sect robe, they didn't bother with him.
Leon let out a secret sigh of relief and quickly ascended the stairs. The doors of the Grand Hall weren't closed fully, so Leon silently sneaked in.
But he was still spotted the moment he entered the hall and all eyes fell on him.
This was because of how organized the place was; some men in heavy-looking armor sat on one side of the hall that used to belong to some of the elders, and some soldiers folding spears stood silently behind them like statues.
On the opposite side were Quin Xuxu and some of the top twelve elders who were still in the sect and had not gone out with Lin Shuran.
They occupied the seat on that part of the Hall, and all the other elders of the sect and the prime disciples formed a long line behind them; Bai Quing sat on the Grand chair that was on the high platform, showing her position as the sect mistress.
"Who is this young man?" One of the men in heavy armor asked. He stared at Leon with sharp and narrowed eyes.
Leon felt his blood run cold for a moment when he met with the eyes of this man
'A level 7 martial artist!' he screamed inwardly. This person was as strong as Quin Xuxu!
