Lord: Sequence Master

Chapter 229: Vajra Martial Monk and Brutal Knight

The Void Magic Box in Chinon's hand expanded, covering an area of ten meters and enveloping him within. In addition to trapping enemies, the Void Box possessed formidable defensive capabilities.

However, Chinon understood that prolonged defense would only lead to his downfall. If Daisy were defeated, his chances of escape would diminish significantly.

Rosen observed the space barrier, which remained as unyielding as a turtle shell despite relentless attacks. He ordered the others to halt their assault and took out the Void Album, beginning to sketch.

On the drawing paper, a square space barrier appeared, with Chinon standing inside, oblivious to the outside world. Rosen then used his magic pen to draw a door on the barrier.

When the final stroke was complete, the door gained a realistic touch, infused with a true divine concept. The space barrier, as resilient as a Sequence 1 artifact, could not entirely negate the power of this divine intervention. An actual door materialized.

The moment the door opened, all the accumulated skills of the demigods were unleashed, flooding through the opening. In the confined space, Chinon was subjected to devastating saturation damage.

Yet, the next moment, Chinon was fully restored, and the door on the Void Magic Box disappeared.

Rosen remained unfazed. He was familiar with such methods, having used similar techniques himself. The creation of the Time Sealing Technique likely drew inspiration from the power of historians. Most historians could replicate and even surpass its effects.

Although Chinon was not a historian, archaeologists shared many similarities with them. Anticipating Chinon's reversal of time to erase the door, Rosen seized the moment to pass through it.

Outside, all the demigods collaborated to seal the Void Box, employing a variety of sealing techniques. These efforts not only curtailed Chinon's escape but also severed the normal means of communication between his divine clone and his original body.

Inside the Void Box, Rosen confronted Chinon. The Holy Grail Crown materialized above Rosen's head, locking his life's lower limit. In his hand appeared the Holy Sword of Kingship, a weapon forged from divine power.

This sword, capable of inheriting attributes from other weapons, was fused with the twin daggers, inheriting their four miraculous properties: Poison, Weakness, Sharpness, and Instant Death.

Using the concealment of the Void Shadow World, Rosen positioned himself silently behind Chinon. Activating all skills that boosted attack speed, he began building momentum for a final critical strike.

With the fatal blow prepared, Rosen raised the Holy Sword of Kingship with both hands and swung it down.

Even as the Wolf Totem enhanced Chinon's senses, it was too late. The Fate Mark, applied during the critical strike's preparation, ensured that the blow would land regardless of distance.

Just as the Holy Sword of Kingship was about to cleave through Chinon's hair and skull, splitting him along the brain and spine, Chinon raised his hand and caught the blade.

Stomping his foot, a Four-Phase Formation covered in runes unfolded beneath him, centered on his position.

Chinon stood within a formation radiating endless golden light, as brilliant as the sun. His entire body was enveloped in this golden glow. With a swift turn, he executed a devastating roundhouse kick. The golden force shattered Rosen's arms, and half of his head was obliterated, brain matter spilling out.

Yet, Chinon's assault wasn't over. Within the golden formation, his body split into four parts, each brimming with immense power.

Golden shockwaves surged forth, carrying the combined might of eight fists from the four Chinons. In just one second, Rosen was struck tens of thousands of times, battered like a sandbag, until he was reduced to ashes, leaving no trace behind.

But as the golden light faded, Chinon noticed something unusual—his hands were stained with paint.

"This… is a self-portrait clone? Impossible!" he exclaimed.

A self-portrait clone shouldn't have been so durable or capable of being physically destroyed. The paint was likely residue from Rosen's body painting.

However, Rosen wasn't dead. If he had truly perished, his divine territory would have collapsed alongside his sea of consciousness. Instead, Rosen must have used a hidden treasure to escape with his divine territory and spiritual origin intact.

The Void Box's limited space meant there weren't many places for Rosen to hide. As Chinon searched, Rosen, concealed in the Void Shadow World, remained hidden, his heart pounding with lingering fear.

Out of caution, Rosen had sent his self-portrait clone to launch the attack on his behalf, sparing himself from annihilation.

Using the Eternal Bond, Rosen contacted Daisy, seeking insights into Chinon's methods.

"What did he use? This doesn't match anything we prepared for," Rosen asked urgently.

After analyzing the situation, Daisy responded with a hypothesis and a warning: delay the fight as much as possible.

"Archaeologists excel at digging graves," she explained. "Chinon likely unearthed the tomb of a Sequence 2 monk and incorporated the monk's intact body into his Archaeological Museum. Using his abilities, he's borrowing the monk's power."

This borrowed power came with limitations, however. The monk's Vajra Energy had been consumed long ago, and replenishing it wouldn't be easy.

Though Daisy's suggestion made sense, Rosen feared that the longer the battle continued, the more dangerous it would become.

Determined to act, he emerged from the Void Shadow World, expanded his divine territory, and dragged Chinon into it. Remaining outside would have confined Rosen within a special space barrier, preventing him from using his best teleportation and evasive tactics.

Rosen wasn't concerned about his divine territory being destroyed. Over the years, it had undergone dramatic transformations:

The Ancient God's Origin Realm had expanded the divine territory's size a hundredfold.Spatial intensity had increased tenfold.Holding the Authority of the World, Rosen further amplified the strength of the space.Through two cycles of destruction and rebirth via the Annihilation of All Ten Directions, the divine territory had been refined, becoming exponentially stronger.

Though Rosen was only a Sequence 4, the strength of his divine territory made it nearly impossible for a Sequence 2 to completely destroy.

Within this fortified domain, Rosen activated the Wolf Totem to enhance stealth and used Void Flash for ultra-fast teleportation.

The entire divine territory was filled with Rosen's figures, and bullets that could directly damage the source of divinity fell like a rainstorm, forcing Chinon to endure the assault unilaterally. However, in less than two seconds, Chinon charged straight for the Castle of Ashes.

There was an ancient sequence tree in the lord's castle. Unable to find Rosen, Chinon hoped to force him out by attacking the castle.

However, attacking the Ash Castle was no easy task. While it was only a Sequence 5 castle, theoretically capable of withstanding only Sequence 3 power, it held a divine attribute: Fire Ashes. This allowed the castle to absorb fire ash, strengthening its defenses over time.

For years, Rosen had collected ashes from all over the human world, integrating them into the Ash Castle to bolster its protective power.

Moreover, hidden within the castle was a Glorious Lighthouse, capable of deploying a glorious barrier that shared the damage from external attacks.

Finally, Rosen released thousands of Sequence 5 metal slimes and tens of thousands of Sequence 6 metal slimes. Thanks to the God Hunter's Eye, his slime nest had become the first Sequence 5 military building.

As the metal slimes emerged, they immediately began to transform.

They morphed into hexagonal shields, which were quickly pieced together to form a metal hemisphere attached to the inner layer of the elemental barrier. These shields continuously released elemental energy to strengthen the barrier and helped absorb the energy impacts on it.

Metal slimes were creatures born with the ability to devour metals and gain the corresponding properties of the metal. With further training, these slimes could even devour metal-related supernatural objects and transform into corresponding supernatural objects. However, their abilities were limited to simpler metal-based properties.

To maximize the potential of the metal slimes, Rosen had the hill dwarves craft a batch of custom shields. These shields had no offensive capabilities, but their exceptional defense could convert incoming energy from enemy attacks into their own defense. Theoretically, these shields, formed by the metal slimes, could not be broken by explosive force. Under sustained attack, the defense of the slimes would only grow stronger.

However, this did not mean the metal slimes were invincible. The use of their abilities consumed spirituality, and once exhausted, the slimes reverted to spheres, losing all movement capabilities.

It would take Chinon several hours to drain the spiritual energy from so many slimes.

Chinon knew about the metal slimes, but he also understood that he had no choice but to attack. The spatial intensity of Rosen's divine territory was overwhelming, and many barriers blocked any escape. He realized it was impossible for him to flee. He had two options: attack and destroy Rosen's sequence ancient tree, or be trapped to death in the divine territory, like a frog in warm water.

At the very least, if he couldn't defeat Rosen, he would aim to force Rosen into revealing a flaw.

As the defenses of the lord's castle were strengthened, the external barriers would inevitably weaken. The only way for Chinon to survive was to wait for the external defenses to fall below his attack limit, then seize the opportunity to break through the Void Box's space blockade in one decisive strike. Only then could he hope to return to his main body alive.

Chinon's strategy was sound, but Rosen was not someone who would simply take a beating.

Appearing and disappearing mysteriously in the void of the divine territory, Rosen unleashed a barrage of bullets, which rained down around Chinon, continuously causing damage that reached the source of his divinity. What was even more terrifying was that Chinon felt himself dissolving bit by bit.

As time passed, Chinon's skin began to rot away completely.

The sensation was like being inside the digestive acids of a dragon.

In fact, this feeling was accurate. Rosen had sacrificed the original decree to allow his divine territory to acquire the territorial characteristic of Law and Order. He then established four laws, one of which dictated that all hostile outsiders would be gradually consumed by gluttony.

This legal order not only distinguished friend from foe but also provided additional nourishment to the divine territory.

Another half hour passed, and Chinon had turned into a hideous monster, his flesh and blood rotting from the effects of gluttony. These digestive effects were intensified by the bullets fired from Rosen's Dragon King's Wrath, which penetrated Chinon's defenses, allowing the power of gluttony to act more swiftly.

These were all the digestive effects brought about by the swallowing of the power of gluttony. Of course, this effect was only possible because the bullets fired by Rosen, using the Dragon King's Wrath, had penetrated the defense on Chinon's body. Without this, the power of gluttony would hardly act directly on his body.

Though the body was secondary to the extraordinary sequence, such injuries still filled Chinon with a sense of despair. He realized he could not escape alive. Therefore, he needed to gather as much information about Rosen as possible, inflict as much damage on him as he could, and then pass the message to his original body through the various blockades. Otherwise, his divine clone would die in vain.

Having given up all hope of escape, Chinon also abandoned his plan to attack the lord's castle. Instead, he removed the borrowed power of the monk from the Archaeological Museum and took on the power of the Sequence 2 Cruel Knight.

The monk had super strong defense and damage. However, if the monk couldn't defeat the enemy and was severely injured, then the more seriously injured the Cruel Knight was, the greater the burst of lethality he could unleash in an instant.

A war hammer flashed in Chinon's hand as he let out a brutal war cry that shocked the spirits.

This special war cry completely removed the pain he had endured, then integrated it into his spirituality, passing his pain to the enemy through the cruel war cry. This caused the enemy to bear all the pain from Chinon's injuries.

Rosen groaned and activated his golden divinity to purify the mental damage caused by the war cry.

However, it still affected him, causing a brief delay in the flickering of the void. Chinon seized this opportunity and rushed at Rosen.

The Self-Sacrifice Charge was not only one of the fastest charge skills in all branches of the Knight Sequence, but it also completely sacrificed defense to maximize the burst damage when the charge ended.

At this moment, Chinon smashed the void hammer down on Rosen, causing the space around him to collapse and cutting off the possibility of Rosen's void flashing away.

In this life-or-death moment, a shield appeared in Rosen's left hand.

As Rosen's strength increased, the support from the Nightmare Slime's power began to diminish. Rather than replace it, Rosen transformed the Nightmare Slime into a metal slime through the world gene bank. He also bought a heavy shield knight sequence, a Sequence 3 metal shield with an origin prefix, from the main temple.

The brutal hammer in Chinon's hand, swung down with immense force, struck the Nightmare Slime and was blocked.

Although the surprise attack failed, Chinon was undeterred. He continued to strike relentlessly from all angles with his Void Hammer.

However, the shield in Rosen's left hand completely blocked all the damage from Chinon's attacks.

The Heavy Shield Knight's extraordinary essence, integrated into the shield, contained a rare special skill: Instinctual Block. This skill allowed the knight to convert his own perception strength into blocking strength. As long as the attack trajectory could be sensed, the shield could block it 100%.

With Rosen's perception enhanced to Sequence 1, he could effortlessly block all of Chinon's melee attacks.

But as time passed, Chinon's injuries worsened, and his speed and damage grew more terrifying. He even caused penetrating damage to Rosen through the shield. Fortunately, the Holy Grail Crown allowed him to consume faith and heal his injuries instantly.

Finally, relying on the terrifying defense of Instinctual Block and the infinite healing of the Holy Grail Crown, Chinon was forced to weaken due to the continuous consumption. Not wanting to be captured alive by Rosen, he had prepared in advance, burning his life completely to release his final blow. He then transmitted all the combat data to his original body.

All the remaining flesh and blood on Chinon's body turned into brutal blood flames. Even the bone marrow inside his bones was consumed by the flames, burning his skeleton into pieces. In the blink of an eye, Chinon had become a humanoid monster with only his soul left, his body enveloped in blood flames, barely visible.

This time, the Void Hammer in Chinon's hand smashed down, and the heavy shield transformed by the Nightmare Slime shattered.

However, at the last moment, Rosen activated the Death Belt's speed, instantly increasing his burst speed several times. Combined with the opportunity provided by the Nightmare Slime, he managed to dodge Chinon's attack.

But then, Chinon's Void Hammer fell like a torrential rain. Rosen's body was pulverized, but his souls, integrated with the seven deadly sins, began to fight back in unison.

Rosen's soul opened its mouth, locking onto Chinon and using the Wolf Totem's Devouring Technique.

Chinon, weakened after the outburst, was swallowed up and sent into the gluttonous stomach of the Soul of Arrogance without any resistance.

But at this moment, Chinon's soul and divine origin began to self-destruct. He was prepared to use his last archaeologist skill, the historical document, to ignore the layers of space blockades and transmit the memory of his divine clone intact to his original body. Just as Chinon was about to succeed, the seventh sense reversed the flow of time by nine moments.

As time rewound, chains of the void bound Chinon's weakened soul. The power of the time seal completely deprived Chinon of his last ability.

Rosen made sure that the nightmare shackles embedded in the Time Tower could completely control Chinon with the time seal, preventing him from committing suicide. He then used the power of the Holy Grail Crown to begin healing his physical injuries.

Chinon's final blow, the damage caused by the blood flame, was like a cancer attached to the bone. In the end, Rosen had to rely on his golden divinity to purify himself bit by bit before he could completely recover from all his injuries. He then used the void shadow world to place the out-of-control void magic box into the miracle pocket and suppress it.

Though Chinon posed many threats, Rosen still felt that Chinon was somewhat weak.

The original Sequence 0 deity and divine clone only had this much background?

But upon reflection, Rosen realized that the Sequence 3 divine clone was probably just a temporary creation. It was easy to imagine that the weakest divine clones created by Chinon, a Sequence 0, were normally Sequence 1. There was no need for a Sequence 3 divine clone to exist.

It turned out that no extraordinary beings above Sequence 3 could enter Totem Canyon, so Chinon had temporarily separated some souls and divine origins to form a divine clone. This hastily created clone was much weaker than Rosen had anticipated.

Rosen captured Chinon, but Daisy herself was in very bad condition.

Daisy was only at Sequence 4, while her second personality's divine clone was at Sequence 3. Both sides were familiar with each other, and the competition was a matter of hard power.

Had Daisy not been able to borrow the painter sequence from her third personality, Annika, or had she not sensed the dire situation and hidden in the Void Gallery, she would have been killed by the divine clone of her second personality by now.

After learning the outcome of this battle, Daisy immediately asked Rosen for help through the Eternal Bond.

However, before Rosen could reinforce Daisy, the divine clone of her second personality committed suicide without hesitation, her decisiveness made Daisy so angry that she could only assist Rosen in interrogating the captured Chinon.

PS: The only thing that will not cause a shock to the painter sequence is the finishing touch. This is because the original core of the finishing touch is the power of creation. After Rosen strengthened it with the real blood of the ancient gods, the core was replaced with the real power of creation. Therefore, it will not affect other painters' finishing touches with the power of creation as the core, unless it is further strengthened with the real blood of the ancient gods and the power of creation is completely integrated into the miracle painting skills. However, this step is very difficult. When this step can be achieved, the lowest level of the painter sequence is promoted to sequence 0.
