Caleb clicked his tongue. 'This is forcing us to fight with each other.'

'This Elite Trial... Fighting demon beasts are just appetizers. What's really difficult is fighting humans. Fake alliances, betrayal, ambush... Humans are more devious than beasts.'

At this moment, the students looked warily at each other. The announcer successfully stimulated the students to be vigilant of each other.

"Well, it's only reasonable for the three of us to team up, right?' Mei chuckled. "But the three of us our Awakening Realm. I don't think teacher Erina would want that. After all, it's not fair for our other classmates."

"We don't have a choice to be part of a separate team." Fatty agreed as well. "Well, it doesn't matter. I also want to temper myself through life and death experiences." he looked at Mei. "If I have someone like you and Adam on my team. Then, I'll always depend on the two of you. I'll be assured and carefree because I know that there's someone strong behind me. To save me when I'm in trouble. I obviously"

Fatty clenched his fist with a dignified expression on his face. " I obviously don't want that. I want to be able to face danger even without the two of you so in the future I won't drag you down."

Caleb couldn't help but pat Fatty on the shoulders lightly. Fatty's big bell juggled up and down. "Fatty, I didn't expect that you have it in you!"

"Bastard! What do you mean!?"

Fatty's voice became higher even than that of Mount Tai.

Caleb waved his hand with a teasing smile. "It's a compliment. It's a compliment."

Even Mei forgot to speak. She didn't expect Fatty to have such consciousness and strong resolve.

As Fatty listened to Caleb and Mei, his mind wandered to his own thoughts, a quiet determination settling within him.

"I want to be able to be of help to my friends," he mused silently, his gaze distant as he contemplated his own desires. "To stand by their side, not as an excess baggage, but as someone they can rely on when it matters most."

The prospect of life and death battles both frightened and intrigued him. "I know that facing such trials can temper me," he acknowledged his voice barely above a whisper. "It's in those moments of peril that we truly discover what we're made of. And I want to be someone who can face any challenge head-on, without hesitation."

He understood the importance of risking his life for the development of his mindset. "It's easy to coast through life without ever truly testing our limits," he reflected, his brows furrowing in thought. "But it's in the face of adversity that we grow the most. I want to push myself to the brink, to see what I'm truly capable of, both for myself and for the sake of my friends."

With a beastly resolve burning within him, Fatty's eyes sparkled with determination. "I may not be the strongest or the most skilled," he admitted to himself, "but I refuse to let that hold me back. I'll do whatever it takes to become someone my friends can rely on, someone they can trust to have their backs no matter what."

As he glanced over at Caleb and Mei, a sense of gratitude washed over him. 'I owe it to them to become stronger,' he thought, his heart swelling with determination. 'And I won't let anything stand in my way.' With a firm nod of his head, Fatty steeled himself for the challenges in the damn future.

The announcer's voice boomed throughout the arena, commanding the attention of every participant gathered before him.

"Ladies and gentlemen," he began, his tone grave and solemn, "before we proceed, there are some important matters that must be addressed."

The crowd fell silent, anticipation hanging thick in the air as they awaited his words.

"Firstly," the announcer continued, his voice carrying a weight that seemed to settle heavily upon the shoulders of each listener, "it's important to understand the gravity of the Elite Trial. Every time this event commences, at least a hundred participants meet their demise."

Gasps of shock and murmurs of disbelief rippled through the crowd at his words, the reality of the situation sinking in with chilling clarity.

"Secondly," the announcer continued, his expression stern, "each and every one of you must sign a document acknowledging the risks involved in participating in this trial. This document serves as your consent to the dangers that lie ahead. Failure to sign means forfeiting your place in the competition."

A hushed murmur swept through the crowd as participants exchanged uneasy glances, the weight of the decision before them heavy upon their hearts.

"And finally," the announcer concluded, his voice ringing out with unwavering resolve, "it's imperative to understand that only those who prove themselves worthy in this trial will be considered true warriors, qualified to represent Asia in the upcoming Earth Ascendancy Games."

With those final words, a palpable tension settled over the arena, each participant grappling with the daunting reality of the challenges that lay ahead.

Caleb's jaw relaxed as he listened to the announcer's words, a mischievous light flickering in his eyes. He knew the risks involved in participating in the Elite Trial, but he also understood the importance of proving himself as a true warrior. Bullshit! What to prove when anyone here is far weaker than him? He only wants to get it over with and get the slot.

Beside him, Mei and Fatty exchanged determined nods, their resolve unwavering in the face of the trials to come. They had come this far together, and they were determined to see it through to the end, no matter the cost.

'We will fucking succeed even if we won't be in the same team!' Fatty grinned.

With a firm resolve burning within them, Caleb, Mei, and Fatty stepped forward to sign the consent form, each one ready to face whatever shitty obstacles awaited them in the Elite Trial. They knew the road ahead would be fraught with bullshits and uncertainty, but they were prepared to risk it all for the chance to prove themselves as true warriors and represent Asia on the world stage and soar to the sky in one fucking step!
