Lord of the Time: I Can Reincarnate Infinitely

Chapter 393: 393: Larry Wells

Just like that, the sun goes up. Caleb felt his mind gradually came out of its slumber and become active. He still wants to force himself to sleep because he has been getting less than 7 hours of sleep since he came to this world.

Unfortunately, once his mind had woken up. It's hard to fall asleep again. Unwillingly, Caleb opened his eyes and just stared at the ceiling of the double deck blankly.

Caleb felt a tug on his left shoulder. When he looked at the source. He saw Voli sleeping. Each breath came with a snore.

'Last time, this little guy doesn't have a habit of snoring. How come that he does this now??' Continue reading at My Virtual Library Empire

'Could it be the result of fusion of vocal chords?'

Caleb couldn't help but shake his head as he realized that there were really pros and cons in everything.

As Caleb stood up, he raised his head and looked at Fatty who was on top of the double-deck sleeping soundly with crook posture. Fatty's face was buried in the soft pillow white that was creased slightly. A blue blanket with a black apple design and cartoonish patterns covers Fatty from toe to neck.

'Doesn't his body feel uncomfortable with his position? How come he can sleep comfortably in such a way?'

'I always remember Fatty in the Destiny World when I see this guy... Is this fate?'

A sense of nostalgia and bitterness swept Caleb's heart as the memories he had with his friends from the Destiny World surfaced in his mind.

No matter what. He got along with them for years. It wasn't easy for him to forget them even though it was likely that all of them had turned into dust now. After all, the interval of his slumber after he died in that world isn't something they could survive even if they reached a higher tier in the destiny power system.

'Only if they've become a vampire. Maybe there would have been a chance to meet again. But with their personality, it would be a surprise if they really became one.'

Then Caleb scanned the room. The room that was provided to them wasn't bad at all. However, it couldn't be said that it was better compared to his room at their mansion. It boasts high-technology gadgets and appliances that are jaw-dropping on their own.

For example, the double deck where he, Voli, and Fatty slept could actually release cold air acting like an air-conditioner. It can also provide warmth when needed.

Then, Caleb's gaze landed on a dark pot near the flat door with three inches four slits. There was a pink flower with triangle petals exuding green light placed two meters on its side.

'At first, I thought that it was just a normal flower. Who would have thought that it was biotechnology that releases a specific frequency that helps 60 meters within it repel those pesky mosquitos?'

Behind the pot, there was a wire plugged into an electric socket.

'And it also runs on electricity. A convenient technology that completely solves the problem of damned insects.' Caleb sighed.

'In the earth, these pesky mosquitos have annoyed me so much. The convenience brought by advanced technology. No matter where is really helpful.'

Caleb experienced worlds with backward technology after his constant reincarnations. Although they have something to offer. The lack of internet is quite unbearable. Being reincarnated to a world with advanced information tech is considered lucky.

'I wonder if the others are already up?'

As Caleb yawned, his eyes inadvertently stopped on Zhou's who was quietly glaring at him.

'Huh? This bastard is up? Instead of taking care of his own business, he has the time to look at me with such a bad look... This guy is really petty.'

Caleb doesn't have the energy to entertain Zhou so he doesn't glare back and quickly loses interest.

On the other hand, Zhou snorted as he saw that Caleb ignored him. 'Keep ignoring me. Soon, I'll surpass you. I'll be the one to take the lead in this elite trial and become the pride of the Philippines!'

If Caleb knew what Zhou was thinking. Well, he wouldn't care. He doesn't have the time to compete with a side character. His sight was outside the vast universe.

...

In the hallway, Erina and five teachers responsible for five sections led their students to the arena.

"What do you guys think?" One of the professors, Leonardo, spoke.

Belial Hernandez snickered. "What to think? Of course, we'll beat the no.2 and no.1 high school this time!"

Belial Hernandez was sick of the five-lose streak of consecutively in the past eight years. It was a humiliation in his career as he belonged to top professors who were given the right to train students for the Ascendancy Games. He values results so much and he has given his best this year.

'Hmmmpp! Those arrogant fools! Let's see this time if they still have the guts once they lose.' Belia rubbed his goatee in a good mood as he felt that the future was bright. 'Given the fact that I have Larry Wells!'

As thought of this, his eyes wandered on the students behind the five of them and stopped at a particular student.

It was a teenage boy wearing glasses with a beauty mole atop his lips. He has a refined temperament but his presence wasn't overbearing.

'With him, our position to top spot is secured. Larry Wells, don't disappoint me.'

Larry Wells frowned as he felt Belial's gaze on him. Belial coughed awkwardly and turned back to the conversation of his fellow teachers.

"That's right! With Adam, Zhou, and Mei. Our top three students. Our chances are quite high!" Erina didn't forget to pull her students to the topic. They were her pride.

Undeniably, Adam and her students were firmly in the top 3 of the entire school. Even Zhou, who was arrogant.

The three teachers nodded one after another except for Belia. No one dared to jump out and object since the ranking was directly determined by the ranking system that the principal of No.3 high school established.

Belial clenched his fist and silently disagreed though.

'Ranking isn't everything. My student Larry would prove it!'

In his opinion, there are students in their school who deliberately avoid the limelight. They were like tigers in sheep's clothing. Bidding their time to bite. Just like Larry Wells who hasn't announced that he was an Extraordinary Realm!
