Chapter 11: 11
All the plans Jon Arryn had crafted for Joffrey had been thrown out the window, Cersei had gotten away with it and now his head had a price, he was betrayed by many people for reasons he still didn't know. Varys had betrayed him and he was not aware of the motive for such betrayal from the eunuch, Jon had never trusted him and in the end his gut and fear for that man were real. The second person on the list of betrayers was Petyr Baelish and he never had expected that betrayal, since he had been a father to him, he was the reason why he was able to get his brothels in the first place, he knew the amount of gold he had stolen from the crown, but he hadn't done anything waiting for the right time to collect that debt. Cersei had jumped at the opportunity before any of his plans, if it weren't for the help of one of his many servants that inhabited the castle, at this moment, he would have already been dead, they wanted to execute him, but he would not let them so easily. At this moment he is trying to exit King's landing and find a way to get to the valley, then he will send letters to Stannis and Renly to uphold a rebellion, and he will reveal the truth about Jeffrey.
The only person at this moment, capable of removing him from King's Landing without anyone noticing is Lord Stark, today was the date that all the Lords from the Seven Kingdoms had to come in front of the now-proclaimed king Joffrey the First. Thanks to the maid, who had helped him escape, he was now disguised, making him look like a simple homeless man and nothing more. Which was the reason as to why the guards of the kingdom were not approaching him. They weren't even suspicious of him, already too focused on planning the execution of all the traitors, and at that moment, he saw the person he was searching for, Lord Stark accompanied by his wives, four Lords from the North along the 10 soldiers from the North wearing their black uniforms that distinguished them as Persas, and their four wolves. In difference from most other Lords, Harry walked in front of them being the person setting the pace to the Red Fortress, Jon had to admit something, and that was that Harry knew how to make everybody around him wish to follow him, he controlled his troops even without the necessity of doing so, he while quickly checking the area to make sure he wouldn't meet any of Cersei's soldiers, he approached Harry as quickly as he could.
-"Lord Stark, I am glad to find you," - Jon placed himself in front of Harry, he was perfectly aware that he didn't look recognizable with the ragged clothes, and the tunic he was wearing covering his face, which was why the reaction of the troops accompany the governors of the North did not surprise John who revealed his identity now that he was safe - "I was betrayed Lord Stark, you were right, Joffrey is a bastard… Cersei right now is trying to kill me and I know that you are the only one who can help me fix all this."-
-"I am aware, the maid who removed you from the castle works for me," - Harry looked at the pitiful man who was desperate, but the word that Harry had spoken suddenly surprised him, he now understood why Harry always walked ahead of everyone, he had inside spies, it was clearly understandable, but he never thought it could be someone that close to Cersei like the maid that helped him - "I will help you escape this place…Lord Manderly escort Jon outside of King's landing."-
-"I want to thank you, Lord Stark, you don't know just how much the future of this kingdom depends on us stopping Cersei as soon as we can." - Jon had the hope of escaping this place as quickly as possible, he once again covert himself to become unrecognizable to be escorted out of the city by Lord Manderly who placed himself besides Harry - "I assure you that once we dethrone Joffrey, I will propose to make you governor of the seven kingdoms."-
-"That is very considerate of you, now it is best if we hurry," - Harry took a step to the side, so that John could pass through and be escorted by Lord Manderly who glanced at Harry, who only nodded back - "And Jon one more thing," - When the person mentioned turned around to look at Harry he barely got to see how Harry hit him and then fell to the floor - "Never trust anyone."-
The Red Fortress
Tywin looked at his grandson with disdain, his attitude was not one of a king, it was simply like looking at Aerys Targaryen again, it was something he could not allow since it meant that the last name Lannister was detrimental. Knowing that his dumb daughter betrayed Jon Arryn to directly place Jeffrey as king was one of the stupidest things she had ever done, Joffrey was unstable anyone who couldn't see that was an idiot, he left King's Landing to teach Tommen how kings should govern since he would become the future ruler of the seven kingdoms, once Joffrey happens to have a small accident. He didn't mind giving some power to Arryn while he taught the future ruler of the seven kingdoms, the alliance with the Starks would bear fruit in the future, they would in fact have to share some of the power since Tommen would become king and Arya GreyStark would become queen, but the last name Lannister would prevail against anything, which is what he cared about. His plans had suffered the obstacle of his daughter, and not only that, Joffrey wished to execute Jon for the betrayal which meant that there was going to be a war in the valley, a war that could be an advantage for Stannis or Renly.
The door to the crown hall opened, and Harry Stark made his presence known, everyone looked towards the Lord of the North, Tywin had to admit that there were only two people in the room who could be compared to him and radiated the same powerful aura, respect, and fear that he generated to other people. One of them was Oberyn Martell, who was by his side, and the next one was Harry Stark, two men who were excellent allies better to maintain them as allies due to the danger they possessed. Just as suspected, Harry did not come alone, by his side there was his wife, and on each side of them were their wolves, who were always beside the ruler of their kingdom. Harry analyzed the people that were inside the room, many nobles wishing for more power or trying to meet the new king who was barely a kid, that way they could at least obtain more gold than what they already had. The majority of these people were leeches. Harry began walking, until he was in front of the new king of the seven kingdoms, completely different from what some people had assumed would be Harry not kneeling, the same way that Oberyn and Oberyn, would not kneel in front of a child.
-"Lord Tywin, I think you need to talk to your soldier who is searching for Lord Arryn, they are incompetent in their job," - Harry said towards Tywin, completely ignoring Joffrey, who had to stay quiet looking at him for a moment, but hasn't said a single word, and the door didn't take too long before being opened again, four north lords entered, and ten people, who were dragging the body of Jon Arryn - "If they are incapable of finding an old man, imagine an assassin, because from now on many will desire the head of the boy who is sitting over there."
-"Lord Stark, I hope this is not a threat against your…"- the man was not able to finish the sentence, because one of the jaws of Harry's wolves bit his throat, the screams of the man did not take long to stop, and the poor man who had the bad luck of getting close to Harry was becoming a snack for his wolves.
-"Does somebody else wish to interrupt me?" - Harry looked towards the wolf who had the neck of said man trapped between its jaws, it had not yet started devouring the body, because it was waiting for its owner's order who once again moved his eyes to meet Joffrey - "I believe you are going to execute Jon." - Joffrey nodded with fear, but that was enough for Harry to look towards Tywin Lannister who didn't even flinch with what was happening - "If the valley rises up in rebellion, the North take care of them, in exchange we will take control of the valley."-
The North
Ashara was reading a letter sent from Stannis Baratheon, who was requesting a meeting with the Lord of house, Stark, rather he was ordering a meeting with Harry something that was not going to be well received by anyone from the North, including her. Not only that but a priestess had also sent a letter attached to Stannis' demanding that Harry kneel to the legitimate king of the West since she considered Stannis Baratheon to be the prophesied prince, the legendary hero Azor Ahai, who had lived over 8000 years ago before the Aegon I the Conquistador's landing. The hero who rose into battle for the sunrise and won against the other two, brandishing his flaming sword, called the master of light. That priestess came from a cult that worships the known lord of light, just mentioning or reading the name of the cult made Ashara smile from just how dumb it sounded. In Essos he is a prominent deity, but he has very few followers in the West, apparently, they wish to make the commonly known Red God become more prominent in the West and fight against the gods worshiped by the Southerners, because trying to do that with the Northerners would end up with their own death."-
This religion was based on dualism and Manichaeism as a view of the world, where R'hllor, god of light, heat, and fire, faced against his antithesis, the Great Other, god of coldness and death, he who must not be named. They both find themselves in an eternal battle over the fate of the world, such a fight that according to the ancient prophecies contained in the books of Asshai, will only end when Azor Ahai, a spiritual being, fencer of the sword, master of light, the heroes red sword, and riser of the dragons from the rocks. Azor Ahai is also called the warrior of the light and the son of fire. The clerks from R'hllor are called the red priests because of the crimson color of their clothes. In the East, it is common to send kids to the temples of R'hllor to be raised as priests. The temples also buy slave kids and they are known as the slaves of R'hllor, also to raise them as priests, prostitutes of the temple, or warriors. The warriors protected the big temples called Hand of Fire. The North was aware of this, every bit of information about that stupid religion was available to the North, it was a shame that they had no idea.
-"My lady, has something happened?" - Quirrell entered the chamber belonging to Lord Stark, which was currently being used by his mother, she was left in charge of the North while he was away, Ashara gave her the letter sent by the priestess - "With your permission, my lady… I must say this looks like a joke in bad taste."-
-"Joke or not, the only person who's allowed to order Harry is me as his mother." - That was true, Ashara was the only person able to make Harry stay still, which is why there was a saying, that whoever controlled Ashara controlled Harry, it was true, but sadly Ashara had completely shut down her heart after the death of her husband, she would not be with another man till her death - "And if this letter is making me mad… knowing my son, he will personally go to kill Stannis for his audacity."-
Stannis not only has the brilliant idea of proposing to dissolve his marriage with his current wife, and make an alliance with the Starks, but is also proposing that Ashara Stark marry him in order to rule the seven kingdoms. That small detail was sure to anger Harry, who would be more than willing to lead the army himself to end any rebellion proposed by Stannis. Everyone knew that Harry could not stand Stannis, for he was Artemisia's father, who would have thought that the Lord of Rules had a bastard, that was not important anymore since Artemisia had been raised under Northern laws, she was now a Stark by last name, her blood might be one of Baratheon, but she was not an innocent deer, scared away by danger, she had turned into a wolf waiting for the exact moment to kill her supposed father. Ashara had raised Artemisia like her daughter, she loved her as her own blood, just the thought of knowing Stannis had abandoned her helpless because she was a bastard, made her angry. His proposition was an insult to her being, since up to this day, the only man she had loved and would continue to love for the rest of her life is and will be Brandon Stark.
-"My lady, I don't believe the faceless assassins will like that their master is being threatened."- - Quirrell was one of the few who knew about the connection Harry had with the faceless assassins, the fact that Harry had been blessed by the ancient gods, was a simple thing, but the deep most ancient God, the God of death, was the beginning as well as the end, Harry Stark had been blessed by such God - "They do not like when Harry's been threatened, they might take revenge for it."-
King's Landing
King Joffrey's coronation was a complete success, nobody was against it, and for the main event, the townspeople were called to see Jon Arryn's execution, to the surprise of many Tywin Lannister who was still angry about the execution hadn't said a word. Well, nobody would suspect that Harry had put a spell on him so that he couldn't say a single word against the execution, it was convenient for the North to have the Valley revolt, many houses of the valley were allies of the North, therefore, they wouldn't complain a lot about the North taking control of the valley, and mainly because at some point in the past, said houses had previous contact with the Stark's of Invernalia. Marrying their daughters to some Stark lords or vice versa, thanks to that even to this day, those houses were on very good terms with the North and had never received retaliation from the Northerners. In contrast, those who supported Arryn, who were not that powerful but plenty full, while powerful houses went against the Arryn family, small houses would go in favor with the only purpose of gaining just a bit more power.
Harry observed how people from the King's Landing yelled so that the new king would hurry in executing the traitor, all those people were simple sheep, they lived a life of hardship in this city. Their kings treated them as garbage yet they were still praising their new king, simply for giving them a grotesque show of the execution of a man. Many would probably bathe in the blood, but Harry didn't care much about it, in six years this city would be up in flames, and the fall of King's Landing would put an end to the reign of the Southerners. So as of right now, he was going to enjoy how they would betray themselves with each other, just for a bit of more power, just like any person dying of thirst, searching to feel a drop of water touch their tongues to quench their thirst for at least one second. Between the betrayals that were going to occur, he was sure he was going to receive a betrayal, he wasn't worried at all, since he was going to be prepared for that, while these people were planning for their upcoming week, he had already planned ahead for the next seven upcoming years with all the pros and cons, and more back up plans on the table in case of failure.
-"Now they only had to wait for Stannis and Renly to make their move." - Oberyn had kindly asked to be in charge of watching over the late King's brothers, suspiciously they were the only ones not attending the ceremony for coronation, who probably had to do with a certain wolf that was involved - "I hope Renly is the first one to fall… I will enjoy having him under my feet."-
-"For a moment, I forgot that the great Oberyn Martell didn't have limits on his sexual life."- Harry didn't make any sign of rejection or grimace of disgust, for Oberyn's comment who wished to place his hands and the beautiful and kind deer called Renly Baratheon, who everybody said had weird hobbies - "I wonder how many sexual toys you will collect in the years to come."-
-"I hope that many will become part of my collection, first a certain deer, but for sure the last one will be a lioness." - Oberyn looked at Cersei, he didn't even try hiding it, she may not be the most beautiful woman who he wishes to sleep with, but knowing he going to break her, made Lannister excited enough that he wish to hurry up and take her - "I am sure the waiting will be worth it… and you lord Stark have no curiosity."-
-"I am not curious about my sexuality. I respect your fascination for both sexes, but I prefer only the heat that a woman can give me." - Harry looked at Margaery, who was talking with some of the ladies who were accompanying their husbands, Margaery's beauty attracted many looks, but nobody would be able to get close to her not while the wolves were next to her, and after what one of the wolves had done on the room - "But I might be able to provide you with someone who will interest you… Lysa Tully, doesn't she look like someone who could be added to your collection?"-
