Orlan frowned as a pile of documents covered his desk.

"Heroes... Heroes..." He absentmindedly repeated while mechanically stamping documents and muttering to himself.

The reason for his distress was the intriguing news he heard from the Western Nations.

It was about the Twin Heroes.

As a symbol of faith in the Western Nations, the Hero, who appeared only once every hundred years, was believed to be an individual. However, there were now rumors circulating about the existence of "two" Heroes.

When one mentions the Hero, the first thing that comes to mind is The Holy Kingdom of Gadomia, the small country specifically designated within the Western Nations. The ruler of that country is commonly known as the [Hero King].

The [Holy King of Dragons] is his secular title, and he is known for slaying countless demons, subduing the Giant Dragon of Light, and strictly adhering to human supremacy. He is the most devout follower of the Goddess and wields the [Holy Silver Greatsword], a weapon that only the Hero can use.

But recently, another rumor emerged.

Amidst the recent rise in chaotic incidents caused by monsters, the Adventurers' Guild has been overwhelmed with tasks. Against this backdrop, rumors started spreading about a "female hero."

Originally considered an ordinary [Magic Swordsman], the reports mentioned her wielding a [Holy Silver Greatsword].

Holy Silver? That's a sword that only a Hero, chosen by the Goddess, can wield. In other words, if it's indeed a [Holy Silver Greatsword]... then the existence of two Heroes is almost confirmed, given that the current Hero King is male.

...How did the Western Nations manage to hide the existence of the second Hero for so long?

"What, what is it?" Orlan looked at the subordinate who approached his desk.

"Th-there's trouble... Sir Orlan... it seems our operation has been exposed..."

Upon hearing this, Orlan froze, and cold sweat ran down his back. Then an intense surge of adrenaline hit him.

"What did you say!? Say it again!!!!!" He kicked the desk, which fell over, and the unfortunate subordinate was knocked down. In the next moment, Orlan grabbed him by the neck.

"M-my lord... on the Yafan Path, a member of the [Scythe] was attacked, and their whole army was wiped out..."

"Damn it... what about the others?"

"Currently, they are stationed in Vanos... but they encountered some trouble..."

"What's the problem?"

"That [Villager]... He's currently being held in the military camp by the city guards, making it difficult for us to make a move..."

"Why would that guy end up in that place!?"

"It seems... he stole a royal treasure... and impersonated as the fiancé of the second princess of Teigitan..."
