Rei stood on the balcony, leaning against the balustrade and flipping through the news on his phone.
The threat of World War III, the first use of atomic weapons, civil wars, and the increasing popularity of authoritarian parties around the world were the news that filled all the social networks.
Rei grinned.
Most of the creatures of this world, including humans, don't even realise that it's all just a screen that was created to realise a more global goal.
While Rias gets his own way, while Sona continues to play the nonchalant queen to whom everyone owes something, the whole world is trying to regulate this chaos.
The Lords of Hell, the Gods, the Seraphim are all trying to fix the situation that has arisen in the human world.
But they won't succeed. No one will let them. And Rei won't let them either...
Tsubaki came out onto the balcony, dressed in a black night dressing gown that skimmed the curves of her beautiful body. Hayato gave her a sideways glance, but immediately looked away.
Tsubaki flinched slightly when she saw Rei.
- I didn't expect to see you here,' Tsubaki tucked her hair behind her ear.
- Neither did I,' Rei admitted, though in his heart he was glad she'd come after all. - I thought everyone was asleep.
- I can't seem to calm down. I can't get the training with...the trainer out of my head,' the Queen of Sona frowned.
- I understand,' Rei grinned. - I used to train with him myself.
- And now?
- I'm stronger than him now.
- You've got a lot of humility,' Tsubaki grinned with the corner of her lips.
- Maybe,' Rei shrugged.
Tsubaki walked over and leaned against the balustrade. There were no clouds in the sky, so you could admire the gorgeous moon. The stars shone brightly in the sky like diamonds.
Rei was a little glad that Shinra was no longer treating him as arrogantly as she had when they first met. For some reason, it was unsettling to Hayato. He hadn't observed such a thing before....
There's not the rigour and equanimity that Rei is usually used to seeing in a girl. Here she was, standing there looking at the moon with a small smile, like... the most ordinary child.
They didn't say anything to each other. Maybe they didn't need to. They felt good in such a peaceful setting, but all good things come to an end.
Unfortunately.
- You didn't become Queen Sona by choice, did you? - Rei suddenly asked, breaking the silence.
- What's your point? - Tsubaki frowned slightly, returning to a cooler tone.
- 'I wanted to make sure, but your reaction said more than words,' Rei spoke without his cheeky smirk, continuing to stare at the moon.
Tsubaki only frowned harder.
- Why did you start a conversation about my clan?
- The Shinra were in a predicament as they were unwilling to join the Order of Wizards. The Shinra would have been destroyed if the noble Sitri hadn't come to the rescue,' Rei couldn't hold back a slight chuckle. - They offered the clan a deal, of which you were a part...
- How...
- The Coalition learns everything that happens in the human world much faster than the other Factions,' Rei interrupted her. - Besides, we wanted to join this Order. It was probably because of our offer that they came to you with such...audacious demands.
Tsubaki grimaced, clenching her fists. That very 'impertinent demand' once again concerned not only her, but Tsubaki's sister as well...
- It could be said that the Order had already almost joined the Coalition, which meant that our influence would have grown even stronger in Japan. That's what the Sitri, who control the southern part of Japan, didn't like. Your clan is located in Hyogo Prefecture, which is a sort of buffer zone between the Coalition and Hell. Both sides were reluctant to invade there at first, but...something changed.
- Why are you telling me all this? - Tsubaki asked coldly, squinting her multi-coloured eyes.
- Both sides had benefited from the annexation of Hyogo Prefecture, or to be more precise, the Shinra Clan that controlled it. After all, portals leading straight to Hell had been discovered there. And it could also hold ballistic magic missiles that would be as powerful as the atomic bomb recently demonstrated by ordinary people.
Tsubaki was getting tired of this.
- K che...
- Your clan was destroyed.
Tsubaki didn't understand what was said at first. Only after a few seconds did she start to open her eyes wide.
- They killed everyone. No one was spared. Not the old people, not the children, not your family...
- WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT! - Screamed Tsubaki, if Rei hadn't put up a sound barrier she would have woken everyone up. - The Sitri's wouldn't have let this happen! Didn't they...
- Promised? - Rei interrupted her coldly, looking at the girl now. Just looking at him made Shinra's anger evaporate, but not for long. - You're idiots for making a verbal pact with them on just one promise.
- How dare you,' Tsubaki hissed, her anger rising again. - I don't even know if you're telling the truth. How do you know that? Who the hell are you to judge my family?! What the hell happened?! - Tsubaki began to rant, not really getting the gist of her questions.
Rei pressed his lips together, hiding his face from Tsubaki. But only for a split second, then continued:
- The Coalition knows...
- What are you talking about with the Coalition?! Tell me what happened to my family! - Rei's eyes went wide as he was unable to move.
Tsubaki had cast a paralysing spell on him, in which she had put far more energy than necessary. Her face expressed: anger, rage, fear, and her eyes glittered dangerously in the moonlight.
The night dressing gown fell slightly from her shoulders, showing off some of her delicate skin. Her right hand twitched slowly, as if wanting to grab something.
- Now I'll find out for myself if it's true or not! - Tsubaki exclaimed again, her eyes shining even brighter.
The ability of the Shinra Clan is Truth. They are able to discern lies of all shades, understatements, omissions - they will sense it all with their Gift.(I mentioned her Gift earlier, so it's not a piano)
- If you dare to lie to me, I'll kill you,' she extended her hand towards Hayato. - You wanted to shake my faith in Sitri? Did you want me to believe you and throw myself at your neck? What's your real goal?
- That's a lot of questions. Aah! - Rei spat out his own blood, still standing still.
- Answer. To. My. Question!!! What happened to my family, my clan! - Tsubaki hissed.
- Dead,' Rei answered calmly, not looking at the girl.
Tsubaki hoped to the last that her inner sense - the Gift - would tell her that he was lying, but...it didn't happen.
The girl's lips began to quiver. Images of the past began to flash before her eyes. The conversation with the Sitri representative, the time spent with her family - it only made it hurt more...
Tsubaki clenched her fists.
- Why did they do this? Who did? Why did you tell me this? - Trying to stay focused, Tsubaki asked.
- I already told you why they did it,' Rei began to answer. - I think Sitri did. I only want you to draw the right conclusions, because...we're alike...''
Tsubaki couldn't take the rush of feelings and fell to the floor, covering her face with her hands. The spell had broken, Rei could now move quietly. Hayato turned away and continued to stare at the moon, listening to the girl's cries.
Once he too had lost his family, she too had fallen victim to the intrigues of demons. True, his family had consisted of one person. And after his death...there was not the most pleasant life, which was interrupted by the appearance of...God.
Rei pulled his phone out of his pocket and placed it on the only chair that stood on the balcony. He didn't say anything, just walked out, continuing to listen to the girl's loud crying.
Surely, he could calm the girl down. Perhaps even now, when she was in such a weakened mental state, they could sleep together, but...that would be low.
That's exactly how Rei felt about it. Words of sympathy in this situation are hypocrisy. If Tsubaki chooses...a different path. Not the one she's been following up to this point. But a completely different path of her own. Then maybe he'll get closer to her....
But for now.
Let Tsubaki make her own decision. After all, she's spent her whole life working for others. For the clan, so that the Sitri would give them protection. For her family, so that they would be proud of her. For the sake of her little sister, whom she loved more than anything in the world.
Now that was gone...

- How much longer do we have to wait? - asked the muscular man who'd managed to put on at least a black shirt.
The sleeves were rolled up, the top button undone, and he wore a white mask with huge eyeholes over his face. The mask showed no mouth, just a white intimidating emptiness.
- Don't grumble or I'll hit you,' said the old man, dressed in a black haori with a white mask on his face.
He usually walked with his grey hair loose, but now he tied it in a bundle under the hood of his black tracksuit. But this tracksuit was also unusual. Each strand was infused with powerful energy that could be utilised....
But only as a last resort...
The eyes of his mask were 'closed' and his lips were stretched out in a straight line. If one looked closely, one could see his bright emerald eyes. Over his shoulder hung a massive sniper rifle.
- Another grumpy old man said that,' another member of their company chuckled, his voice all boyish.
- Yes, yes, grumpy old man,' another voice came out in exactly the same voice.
They even had the same white masks: big slits in their eyes, a long black smile. They were the same height, the same clothes, the same eye colour - honey - yes they had everything the same.
These two acrobat brothers are twins, they were even born with the same Sacred Mechanism, which is very rare. Not even very, but just very, very rare.
And these goofballs were accepted into Venelana Lamperouge's entourage. Then they were taken for a trial period in the Shadow, then they decided to transfer them to the personal Inquisition of Rod Lamperouge.
I don't think I need to explain why they were transferred from the Shadows to the Inquisition? It's just that they...
- Why don't we just blow it up? - suggested the first twin brother, pointing at the unremarkable building that was actually the Grigori Institute.
- Better yet, let's just blow it up! - said the second twin brother, slapping his fist on his palm.
- Blowing up is the stupidest idea ever, you idiot! - retorted the first twin brother, hitting his brother on the head. - Don't you realise, we could be spotted! I would never suggest such a thing!
- Oh, I see, you really are the smartest of us all, brother,' said the second, either seriously or ironically, but it was hard to tell from their intonations whether they were joking or not.
- Yes, yes,' nodded the first. - The most correct option - just...
- Are they always like this, Boreas? - Rietwing asked the muscular man.
- Nah, it's always much worse. Looks like Mistress Venelana fed them marmalade today, that's why they're so calm and....
- Why don't we put explosion seals on the mice and send them straight there?! - suggested the other twin brother.
- I'd better go to Elias,' the old man - Elias's father - got up from the ground and ran off in an unknown direction.
- Fool, we'll just blow it up like that. Wait, blowing up is a great idea, right! - said the first twin brother.
- Adequate, - finished the phrase coach retinue Rias and Sona.
- Ah, well, then I see, - nodded Rietwing, as if he understood everything, - I don't get it. WHY THE FUCK DID THEY BRING THESE IDIOTS HERE IN THE FIRST PLACE?! WHO THE FUCK ARE THEY?
- They are pawns of Mistress Venelana,' Boreas said calmly, adjusting his mask. - Quite powerful, by the way...
- Oh, God-Emperor, what are they even...
- Be patient, Rit,' Rei, the leader of their operation, said.
He was dressed in the same sporty black suit as the others, only except for Boreas. The demon trainer would not take part in the main operation, but he still wore the mask.
- Okay, there's a plan,' Rei said, pulling the two twin brothers in telepathically.
- And I say we should use snakes. They're slippery, nimble, and also...
- No, it's better to use that lycan Rithwing. He'll just go into his Madness mode or Berserker mode - what's it called? - and it'll be ruined.
- That's enough, guys. Or I'll have to tell Mistress Venalana that you're--
- We won't do it again! - The boys answered in unison, sitting down on their knees and lowering their heads.
- Okay, - Rei gathered his thoughts, - So, the plan is very simple...
- Blow it up!
- Stupid plan...
- We'll just blow them up,' Rei agreed, ignoring the twins' whispers.
Silence descended on their small clearing near the thick trees. Rithwing began scratching his ear, thinking he had heard something. Boreas sighed, either frustrated or something else, and the twins continued to whisper to each other.
- And I told you that blowing it up was a great idea! - said the first one to his brother.
- And I think it's a good idea to let the gays in! - replied the second one.
- And then don't let them out of there.
- And then stay with them.
- What?!
- What?!
- The twins will just blow up the barrier and the Institute's fortifications,' Ray continued. - We don't have to do anything, because almost everyone on the staff will be there for the explosion. All we have to do is wait for that moment, and Elias and his grandfather will just kill them.
- Can we get into the lab? - Rietwing asked, calming down.
- Yes, that's right,' Hayato nodded, 'And you, do you understand?
- Yes! - said the twins.
- It's simple, isn't it? - said the first one.
- Just shoot them! - said the other.
- Simple as that! - said the two brothers in unison, immediately disappearing from Ray's team's sight.
Rietwing's eyes widened in shock.
- They know the Shadow Step? Have they met...
- Yes, they have,' Rey grinned, watching the lycan's reaction. - I'll tell you more - the Lord himself gave them to Mistress Venelana as a gift.
- Who the hell are they if the Overlord trained them? - Rithwing was horrified.
- Who? - Rei asked, and then let out a chuckle. - Mere demons, like everyone else with you right now....
- Oh, God-Emperor,' Ritwing muttered, looking at the twin pair differently now.
And they're about to start...
***
- The usual, brother! - the first one asked loudly, spreading a pair of demonic wings.
- Yes!' replied the second one, coming up beside his brother.
The second one retracted his wings, falling on top of his brother. The first picked him up and sat him on his shoulders, catching his legs.
- Activation! - Both acrobat brothers shouted, followed by the appearance of white, massive gloves on their left hands.
- Where to first? How about over there?! - nodded at the western sector of the first one.
- Or over there? - nodded towards the eastern sector of the second.
- You'll be spotted soon,' Ray's voice came from inside their heads. - Maybe you...
- It would be better if we hit there,' the first one said, pointing to the western sector. - That's where one of the underground dormitory rooms is, where the Fallen will run out of!
- What nonsense! - exclaimed the second, grabbing his brother by the hair. - In the eastern sector there is a warehouse of weapons and artefacts. We must strike there!
- If you don't shoot now, then Lord.....
- Balance Breaker! - the brothers once again shouted in unison.
They were now wearing grey armour that looked more like the Balance Crushers of the Longinus Red and White Emperor.
The two brothers put their hands out in different directions. One towards the western sector and the other towards the eastern sector.
- Concentration! - shouted the second one.
- Now! - replied the first, whose stone in the centre of his armour was constantly flashing different colours. - That's it, come on!
The second one immediately activated. The first one began to slowly release the accumulated energy, causing a dense grey Aura to form around them.
The second continued to concentrate the Force inside the Mechanism. The brothers' Aura was so strong that they hit the Institute's barrier, causing a loud siren.
- What idiots,' Rietwing muttered when he heard the siren.
- Maybe it's for the best,' Rei smiled. - 'We'll see...
- I'm ready, how about you?
- Yeah, let's get started!
- CANNON-A-A-A-A-A-A-A-A-A-A-A-A-A-A-A-A-A-A-A-A-A-A-A-A!!! - Both brothers shouted, concentrating powerful spheres in their hands.
The spheres immediately travelled to the western and eastern sectors, instantly destroying the barrier. Numerous explosions were heard, the smoke of which reached even the company of the attackers.
- Damn it,' Ritwing muttered, watching the twins' attack with shocked eyes. - They took advantage of...this?
- Yes, they are able to take the power of a Shape infused with the Overlord's energy,' Rei said, not taking his eyes off the Institute's gate. - And now the simple Double Krit Mechanism in their hands is a terrible weapon, capable of killing Gods....
- Damn it,' Ritwing muttered again. - Hey, jock, did you know that?
- Of course,' Boreas said with a sneer. - I just wanted to see your reaction.
- You!' Ritwing clenched his fists.
- Calm down, mates, we have a mission, - Rei didn't even turn to them.
- Yeah, calm down, mossy,' Boreas grinned, his bright blue eyes glinting dangerously in the darkness.
Rietwing's eyes changed colour to yellow, after which the black pupil stretched out and became vertical.
- I thought I made myself clear,' Rey sighed, and each of the two men felt an invisible wall that reeked of uncertainty and...danger.
Rei's barrier was his unique ability, where within his barrier, he was able to just by the power of thought - telepathy - to bend anything to his will. Hayato has trained very hard, which is the reason he has achieved such mastery of telepathy.
When Rei and Elias came to the student council, the demons didn't even feel that barrier, and there was one at the time. Of course, Hayato still had potential - just incredible potential - but his body wasn't ready to accept the power of the Pawn Lord yet...
- That's it,' Rei heard shouting and cursing from the fallen men, "Let's get started," Rei said in a cold tone.
- 'Yes!' The two men stopped arguing immediately.
- Eitmore, Elias, are you ready?
- We've been waiting for you,' a voice in Rei's head muttered.
Hayato was sure they hadn't been preparing all this time, so he decided to 'call' them.
- Let's get started then. Today is the day we'll find out what Azazel knows about Shuri...
***
Azazel sat on the floor, covering his eyes. He wasn't paying attention to the noise outside, Fallen was completely focused on his room.
Azazel wasn't worried anymore. All information about the unknown creatures of this world had already been burned. Now all this knowledge was only in Fallen's head. One could draw a simple conclusion: if someone came to this institute, then this someone knows about the existence of unknown beings.
Of course, without proof it was hard to call it true, but that was exactly what Fallen had assumed. Or was it his paranoia that had kicked in after...what was it, a thousand years?
Azazel's musings were interrupted when the door to the room opened. Fallen arched an eyebrow imperceptibly, he thought the unknown guest would just break in and quickly take what had recently been destroyed.
The guest walked in leisurely, discreetly looking around. Azazel immediately realised that the unknown guest was not simple. Take for example the same tracksuit. Only his Generals have armour with energy lines, and here...such skilled workmanship.
Azazel opened his eyes. He didn't expect to see his guest's face right away, but the naivety had not disappeared even after hundreds of years. A white mask, a black smile, the right eye of the mask closed. Fallen had met such a mask once before, and when he did manage to catch one of these 'clowns', then....
He simply blew himself up...
- In the name of the Emperor God! - those were the young man's last words.
A rather strong young man, he could match a High Class Fallen.
Very often, Azazel wondered the same question. Which God-Emperor are we talking about? The Biblical one? Or the new entity that had declared itself to be him?
The Trefbat Organisation was a mysterious organisation whose aims...were still unclear. It has teamed up with Lelouch to oppose it mainly. After all, it was the unknown that Azazel feared most.
Is this clown connected to that organisation?
The fact that their forces clashed after the negotiations was nothing more than a simple demonstration of their capabilities. Lelouch, on the other hand, had demonstrated a lot...even a lot.
But Azazel would have a leash on him as well.
The guest took two steps, stopped. He said nothing, only continued to stare at Azazel, who sat with his eyes still closed. The Fallen One opened his eyes and smiled cheekily.
- Impressive,' Azazel said after a long pause. - You bypassed all my traps without hitting a single one. You really impressed me, young man.
The guest once again answered nothing. Only now did Azazel see his bright blue eyes staring dangerously at him.
- I'm sorry, but I can't let...
Before Azazel could finish, the masked guest made a faint movement of his fingers. Before Azazel knew it, dozens of needles were flying from his side.
If Azazel hadn't been able to awaken a Magical Sight similar to that used by Astaroth, he probably wouldn't have been able to even dodge the attack. But now...
Azazel snapped his fingers, the needles stopped and fell to the ground. Various symbols lit up beneath the masked guest, he fell to the floor and began coughing loudly.
The unknown man raised his hand to his mask and already tried to get up, but...it came out with difficulty. The symbols on the ground continued to glow brightly, Azazel smiled wider.
- Not only did you bypass all my traps, but you set your own barrier,' Azazel looked around. - It's the first time I've ever seen one, but I guess it didn't protect you.
The masked creature raised its blue eyes and looked at the Fallen with hatred.
- Yes, I understand, honestly. The bitterness of failure, of defeat,' Azazel scratched the back of his head and stood up from the floor, beginning to walk towards his enemy. - Well, it's time to end this one...
The fallen man watched wide-eyed as flyers flew out from under the 'clown's' feet, falling to the ground.
- Exploding seals? He immediately realised that I had placed an unusual barrier on him, so he wouldn't be hit by the blast wave. He wasn't able to see it, only...feel it....
Azazel quickly placed a protective barrier around him, covering himself with his wings. Three explosions rang out, completely blowing the underground room apart.
Fallen immediately teleported outside, watching an entire set of Grigori's research already on fire.
Yeah, they'd done a pretty good job. They didn't think this kid could handle me alone.
Azazel turned his head as he felt his attacker. He was trying to run, but he wasn't doing a good job. He kept grabbing his chest, constantly hitting his lungs as if trying to force more air out of there.
Azazel smirked, snapping his fingers again. He put a small barrier around them, which would allow Azazel to buy some time to break the guy's mental defences. After that, he would take him in for questioning.
The masked creature turned around. The 'clown' mask was already broken near its right eye, showing the Fallen one part of its black hair and bright blue eye.
The attacker fell to the ground once again, unable to do anything about it.
- The blast wave did hit you, and even the body enhancement spells helped, but the recoil was terrible. I've tried it myself,' Azazel said with a sneer. - You don't have to try, you can't touch your energy.
The attacker's right eye opened wide, Azazel grinned:
- That barrier is an Archangel's Miracle. Only Angels can create such a barrier. Well, as a former Angel, I'm capable of it, too. And no fake Emperors are capable of such a thing.....
Azazel was about to hit him to find out if he belonged to Trefbat. But the masked creature said nothing, only squinted harder.
- All right, this farce is over,' Azazel walked over to the young man. - Now I'll find out...
Azazel was interrupted by the powerful black Aura emanating from the masked man before he could speak. The surge of his power shook the very ground, the buildings, everything around him for several kilometres.
- How? - Azazel was genuinely surprised. - The Archangel's seal should have sealed his powers completely, making it impossible to use them. And without their energy, magical beings are unable to breathe and move normally... How? - Azazel was so shocked that he paid no attention to the shaking ground and houses.
- You said,' the masked creature began, the iris of his eyes turning black, 'That a fake is not capable of a miracle? - The unknown man stood up, he said it in such a creepy tone that Azazel focused completely. - Then behold. Behold just a fraction of the True God's power, crow!
The young man may not have realised what he was saying at the time. But with those very words, he only convinced Azazel of his own version.
- A-A-A-A-A-A-A-A-A-A-A-A-A-A-A-A-A-A-A-A-A-A-A-A-A-A-A-A-A-A-A! - Azazel noticed the veins bulging and starting to turn black.
The unknown man fell to his knees once more, a thick black Aura began to emanate from him and filled everything around him. Azazel flashed his Force, warding off the stranger's, but was surprised when....
He met resistance. The aura of the Fallen and Angels is special - it can purify any kind of energy. And with this energy... that didn't happen. It only made the Fallen more wary.
- HEE-HEE-HEE...HEE-HEE...HA-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA!!! DIE YOU LOWLY CROW!!!! - screamed the young man madly, and Azazel now turned his attention to what was going on around him.
The whole earth was shaking, it felt like someone was pushing the earth itself, causing it to shake constantly. Azazel's thoughts were not far from the truth....
He was already looking at the sky with his eyes open, where he saw a huge piece of land. Here it is flying...towards Azazel so fast that the Fallen One will not have time to get away.
Only to take the blow for himself was all the Fallen had to do. Azazel activated every defence barrier he could think of at that moment. He could sense that this 'meteorite' was infused with the young man's unknown Power.
- WHAT ABOUT THE OTHER ONE, CROW?! HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!!! - shouted the young man, making a few passes with his hands.
Azazel saw with his side vision that another similar 'meteorite' was flying at him. The fallen man stretched his right arm in its direction, activating several more protective barriers.
Here the 'meteorites' collided with Azazel's defence barriers.....
There were explosions so deafening that Azazel could feel them with his ears even through the barriers. He didn't look at his surroundings, he only increased the energy of his barriers as he felt their power...incredible....
How much time passed - Azazel didn't know. He fell to his knees and began breathing frequently, applying healing magic to his hands. All his hands were burned, he himself had spent almost all the Power of his Source.
He looked around. The entire nearby forest was just littered with the remains of the 'meteorites', or the houses that were on the institute's grounds. The attacker had already left, of course, or had been taken away by his partners.
The destruction was colossal, but Azazel had seen worse, so he wasn't particularly surprised. But he was shocked by this Force, this power, this...
- You fear the power that could consume you at any moment. You fear the unknown, Azazel...
That arrogant Superior, Lamperouge, was right. Azazel is afraid of it. He has always sought knowledge, to grasp the unknown itself - it is his Gift and the worst Sin that brought him down.
- Damn it,' Azazel cursed, standing up from the ground and looking around once more. - You should change some of your plans. Immediately change...
***
How many Kimimaro had already killed this night, he didn't know. How many more he would need to kill to achieve some sort of...enlightenment in his life - he again didn't know. Are these kills now more than just a mission? Of course they weren't. Kimimaro realised that only now.
Because of his selfish desire to learn about the rightness of his path - he kills. Doing essentially the same thing Lelouch did. Is he doing the right thing? Is it the only way to find a solution? In these centuries of meaningless life, he has already killed so much for Rod Lamperouge, for the God-Emperor, that he needs a separate room in the Abyss with a separate name.
And this night he continues to do what he does best - kill. He sometimes wondered. From his very first 'birth' he had been wanted to be used. First Nebiros trained him, then Lelouch, all for one thing only - to kill. No one had imposed a separate and 'correct' ideology on him - of course not. He imposed it on himself. When hopes are dashed, our minds are as malleable as possible to absolutely any thoughts.
Kimimaro's mind is in that state right now. When everything in this world becomes completely different for you, somehow wrong.
Master had always said that Dragons were Powers to be used. But Kimimaro now has little faith that Lelouch needs Dragons just to have an invincible army. After all, with Gias's help, he can just create an entire army of puppets who don't care about pain or feelings.
He needs them for something...
While Kimimaro was thinking about this, he was killing another dragon from Krom's army. And Kimimaro didn't really want to face the strongest Evil Dragon as well as a battle mate. Although Kimimaro is stronger than him, but he will only defeat the Dragon Demon when he gives his best. Right now, Kimimaro needs to do everything quietly. Just for Zekram to land here and strengthen himself. Beyond that, he'll do it all himself, Kaguya isn't interested.
Kimimaro slit the throat of one, two, three...forty-four, forty-five...ninety-six - this one seemed to be the last one in the area. What must be done to drive suspicion away from the hypothesis that Lelouch's army - the dragons under Krom's command - are being hunted? We need to attack the civilian population...
And there are... a lot of them here...
Kimimaro now stands on a small hill and watches the burning city. After seven hundred and forty-one thousand, he stopped counting. He had killed twice, if not three times that many today.
Kaguya felt a surge of powerful energy. He immediately turned around. A bone breastplate and greaves lay on his body from beneath his skin, and bone swords appeared in his hands. It was a sense of...danger? Kimimaro's instincts had warned him of danger when Zekram came, but now...it was different.
The arrival was dressed in the dark green robe of a monk. He was short in stature, but that wasn't an indication that he was weak. He wasn't even holding back his bright golden Aura, which matched his hair. Of course, an ordinary person couldn't see this Aura, but a mage or any other mythological creature could sense and see the colour of the Aura for a moment. In his mouth was a kisaru tube that seemed to be already empty, and cyber goggles were worn over his eyes. His incredibly thick and lush golden hair fell in a waterfall down his back.
The guest leaned his staff on his shoulder, holding it with his right hand as if it were a toy, though in reality it weighed more than a hundred times its weight. Kimimaro recognised who was in front of him just by that battle staff. Yes, an unpleasant situation...
The old Yokai looked behind Kimimaru's back, where the city was already in full blaze. Then he looked at the Demon again. The old man's face was impenetrable and completely calm. He held himself in a relaxed manner, not showing the slightest concern.
He took his left hand out of his pocket, which contained some beads, and scratched his chin.
Kimimaro clenched his bone sword. It helped, he felt more confident now.
The old man started first:
- 'Sun-Ukun, Monkey King, Buddha, vanguard of the God Indra,' the old man introduced himself and Kimimaro's suspicions were justified.
- Kimimaro Kaguya,' Kaguya knew there was no point in lying, nor was there any way to get out of it, 'the strongest Hell Horse, the First, Lord Lelouch's vanguard.
Sun-Ukun looked again at the city behind Kimimaro's back. Kaguya understood without words. If Indra's right hand had decided to come here, it meant he wanted something - and he didn't get it. And to return to the Master with nothing.....
OWLs raised his staff and struck the ground, creating a barrier around the forest that would withstand their power. Kimimaro was about to take on Oblique, but immediately changed his mind. If Krom was in front of Kimimaro - and he needed to win quickly - he would.
Kimimaro spread ten demonic wings behind his back, which immediately began to be covered with bones. It was as if his entire body was transforming into some sort of bone demonic golem monster. The bones had become bigger, more massive and stronger, now even Krom's fire wouldn't be able to penetrate them.
The jaws were more like some monster from fairy tales: open, with sharp bone teeth jutting out intimidatingly. Red lines stretched from its eyes to its mouth, which gradually infused the entire body with the figure's energy. This was the armour of the strongest Servant of Hell. Even after so many years, he is still the First....''
The old ape, on the other hand, watched his transformation with slight interest.
- ''Not bad,'' OWLs admitted, after the transformation was complete, ''But it's useless...''
Sun-Ukun started twirling his staff so fast that Kimimaro didn't have time to follow him. And while the staff was spinning, numerous circles were being created around Yokai, each of which was infused with an incredible Senjutsu Force.
Then Yokai stopped and struck the staff on the ground. Kimimaro concentrated fully. Even though the old man was wearing glasses, Kimimaro still saw his eyes change colour.
Kimimaro flinched. Sun Wukong's left eye was the usual golden colour, but his left eye burned a bright blue colour.
Heterochromia eyes?
Kimimaro immediately started throwing out his Aura, taking at least some measures to defend against the Senjutsu Master's attack. Kimimaro had faced ki users before, but this was no comparison to Sun-Ukun.
The old man looked at him questioningly.
- Can you see the Veins of Peace? - Kimimaro didn't understand what he was talking about, -You're even more trouble than I thought.
Kimimaro felt the natural energy begin to just push through his Aura. No matter what styles he used, he couldn't fend off the blows of the Master's invisible natural energy. If things continued at this rate, then.....
You've always been nothing, child...
Kimimaro began to use a special technique that - albeit slightly - harnesses natural energy. He himself is the creator of this technique - Nature's Breath. After creating this technique, the Master himself was incredibly shocked by such a skill, saying that it was an incredibly powerful technique that could injure even someone at the level of a Heavenly Dragon.
This technique uses three kinds of energy at once - mana, touki, and ki. And each of them plays a different role. Touki strengthens his body so that he doesn't simply die from the strain; mana is the main striking power of the technique; with ki, he manages to change direction and strengthen his technique along the way.
This was the first time Sun Wukong had seen such a thing in his long life...such a genius. No, such a monster...
What kind of person would one have to be to be able to create such a thing?
Such a technique was indeed powerful, and if someone else was in OWLs' place, he would have to seriously try his best to defend himself against this technique.
Kimimaro made a couple of circular sweeps with his bone swords. Ki immediately moved away from him. His technique is already in action, so it's about time to attack....
Kaguya fell to his knees, leaning on one of his swords. Kimimaro hadn't used this technique in a long time, so his body responded to the incredible strain.
OWLs immediately began to attack him. Yokai's invisible but incredibly powerful ki made Kimimaro fly hundreds of metres away from the battlefield.
Is ki even a ki at all?
All your life you've been a slave, child...
Kimimaro stuck his swords into the ground, continuing to roll above the ground. Kaguya saw the old Yokai jump up into the sky. As he picked up his staff and headed in his direction.
The staff grew longer and longer, and Kimimaro spread his wings and immediately ducked out of the line of attack. But that was a mistake. Kimimaro's gut was telling him that an attack was about to fly at you. And Kaguya was even starting to feel it.
What kind of monster is that? How can he freely command natural energy?
You're a nobody, child...
I can't keep up.
All your life you've been in the service of someone. You are a slave of God...
Damn it, what do I do?
When you want to make things right, you can't. Slaves don't have the right to vote.
Faster...I need to get faster!!!
There was an unpleasant stinging in his left eye and Kimimaro immediately found himself in a different place.
Kaguya had not expected such a thing himself. He was now behind Yokai's back, who had just started to turn around to him with a shocked expression on his face.
Kimimaro immediately swung his sword and stabbed straight into his chest. Sun Wukong flew downwards. As he fell to the ground, he created a deep pit around him - this was Kimimaro's Power.
I need to go to him now...
And Kimimaro was immediately near the old man to make the final strike, but the old man's Gias glowed even stronger. Kaguya didn't even notice as he began to fall towards the trees again. He hit one, two...fourteenth tree, but finally managed to stick his swords into the ground and stopped.
The barrier had fallen. Kimimaro couldn't feel OWLs anywhere. He was gone.
The armour immediately absorbed back into his body. Kimimaro fell to the ground and breathed heavily. His left eye began to hurt - Kimimaro took hold of it.
The Force appearing out of nowhere helped him, but...what was it?
When you want to throw the crown off the Kings, take this Force. From now on, your life belongs to Us...
Kimimaro suddenly remembered those words. But who were they from? Who...
Was this not a dream?
Not far from Kimimaro was a puddle of water from a small stream that would have been here recently. Now because of their battle it wasn't here.
Kaguya looked into his reflection, removing his hand from his face.
Gias was burning bright blue in his left eye.
