Legendary Shelter Survival Guide

Chapter 192: Opening the Mystery chest

Lucas was intently looking at the system in order to get as much information about the new phase as soon as possible.

Everyone was looking at it after their small but happy party was over.

"It says we got the stuff, but where is it?" Jerry asked while scratching his bearded chin.

"You mean the mystery box?"

THUD

A chest dropped out of nowhere in front of Lucas who just spoke back to Jerry.

"There you go, just call on it," Lucas said with indifference but with some excitement while looking at the chest box.

Things like this had become a norm for so long that it wasn't even worth flinching for. Your next journey awaits at My Virtual Library Empire

Lucas was inches from the chest which was not even a meter in width.

"It's small compared to the ones in the dungeon," John muttered.

Lucas nodded and opened the lid of the chest. The lid fell back and everyone saw what was in it.

The capacity of the chest's storage was pretty small and there were only some small things in it. Yet Lucas was surprised why they were so organized inside it.

He picked one of the many and frowned.

"A coin?" He said a loud getting many eyes on the golden coin-like thing that shone in the presence of light.

It is the currency for upcoming events and phases in order to buy from the unique shop that will open randomly. Whoever possesses the coins will see the shop in a yellow glowing mark on the map. Coins can be possessed by killing creatures or by reward chests.

====

"These are gold coins!" Lucas looked at the coin even more closely now and could see some text written on it. His eyes widened in shock when he read what was written on it.

"How?" Lucas couldn't help but exclaim.

"What?" John was dying to know what had happened.

Lucas just looked at him and tossed the coin toward him. At first, John just looked at it with curiosity. The description had not opened yet but his eyes bulged out in shock making the others feel like they were missing out.

"What is this language? And how can I read it?!" John, the usual calm and composed guy said with shock making the others think that this had become bigger than they'd expected.

"That's what I wanted to share, Uncle Lucas. I didn't know that language before but it got translated in my brain like I had been practicing it for years…"

Lucas opened his system making his stat open up and there it was, the new skill among the many.

Lucas had looked at the skill section more than a thousand times by now, so even a slight change in the progress was noticed by him. A new skill was totally different.

"It's because of our new skill, everyone. Check your statuses quickly."

While the others were reading through the new skill, Lucas picked up everything else that was there in his chest.

He took out five more gold coins and kept them near him and two pieces of paper that he knew clearly what they were.

He didn't tear them yet the system had already told him what they were.

====

Arcane Blade mastery

Rare Grade

+50% in Bladed weapon's proficiency

The skill helps the user make use of their elemental skills on the sword. A fire skill would make the weapon infuse with a fiery aura, so will happen with any other elemental skill. It consumes 10 Mana per minute.

====

'Damn… this is pretty good.' Lucas wanted to whistle yet refrained himself.

He went to the next paper after noting the fact that the others had started opening their chests too. John had kept Lucas's gold coin in the pile of coins in front of Lucas.

====

====

"The fuck?"

"Language"

"Yeah" Lucas looked at the object in his hand and couldn't help but have feelings of dumping the paper in the canal. He deemed it totally useless for himself.

He kept both the papers in his pocket with the coins in tow and went to the next thing.

"Personal Individual Quest?" He muttered confused it it would work again.

It worked yet it was different than before. A new hologram opened to the left of the original one making Lucas tilt his neck.

===

Personal Individual Quest

A quest that can help in evolving the user and even give a class if completed with success. The class will resonate with the skills that the user possesses.

Start the quest? YES NO

[Note: Once started, the user will be teleported to the location of the quest and can only return after the quest either fails or succeed.]

[Note: Time moves differently in the quest location, for every minute passed in it, only a second will be passed in the real world.]

[Note: Pressing 'no' will close the quest but the user can look or start it anytime they want after it.]

===

After reading the last note, Lucas pressed no thinking that this was not something he could start right now.

While he was wise enough to do something like this. Many had clicked the 'Yes' even before reading everything that made them vanish into thin air making many shocked of what happened.

Luckily, Lucas told it to everyone in the group which helped prevent any misfortune that could have befell over them.

He contacted his father very quickly and was relieved that he hadn't starte the quest till now but the enthusiaam in his voice made Lucas believe that his father could only wait a few more moments if not for his mother stopping him.
