King of Worlds'

Chapter 3: KOW Chapter 3 That Person

In this world, Kings were the most extraordinary group of people.

They derived their strength from the ''Myriad Realms Dimensions'', founding nations and ensuring their ''King's Way'' succeeded, thereby strengthening both their realms and themselves.

However, this process was fraught with immense danger. The previous owner of Qin Yi's body, an impulsive fool who charged in without understanding anything, was the most typical cautionary tale.

Countless Kings who blindly traversed dimensions met tragic ends. Occasionally, a lucky few would select easier worlds, succeed in their ''King's Way'', and witness explosive growth in both their nation's and personal power, allowing them to thrive.

But most Kings perished at this very first step!

The greatest challenge in founding a nation across dimensions lay in the lack of information. Imagine stepping into an unknown world, completely blind to its workings— what outcomes could one expect in such a situation?

And to compound the difficulty, Kings weren't merely surviving; they had to establish a nation, a task of monumental complexity.

For Qin Yi, however, the difficulty was significantly reduced.

He could choose dimensions he was already familiar with, leveraging knowledge from his past life on Earth to avoid pitfalls and even reap greater rewards.

Compared to other Kings, Qin Yi was undoubtedly cheating.

"But founding a nation in 'Naruto'..."

As he contemplated, Qin Yi's expression grew somber.

He mulled over the task, realizing that even with his familiarity with the characters and plot, establishing a nation in such a world was no simple matter.

The civilization in his current kingdom was roughly equivalent to Earth's ancient past— perhaps it was even worse than that. They lacked any knowledge of firearms or advanced technology and were firmly stuck in the cold weapons era.

"This is practically a civilization without any foundation!" Qin Yi sighed, shaking his head.

Unlike the original 17-year-old owner of this body, Qin Yi considered matters more thoroughly. He understood that blind courage would solve nothing. Conquering a world like 'Naruto' with nothing but swords and spears seemed almost laughable.

Was he supposed to rely on cold steel to fight against 'Kekkei Genkai' (Bloodline Limits) and devastating ninjutsu capable of leveling mountains and splitting seas?

"Where's the intel? We heard the survivors brought back information!"

Suddenly, a commotion broke out nearby.

Qin Yi looked up to see a group of roughly dressed, anxious individuals hurrying toward him.

A flash of understanding crossed his mind— these dozen or so people were the entirety of his kingdom's ministers. Yes, the nation had been reduced to such a sorry state that even its ministerial ranks were barely comparable to the management team of a small company on Earth.

"Your Majesty?!"

When the ministers reached him and saw Qin Yi, they froze in shock before bursting into joy.

"It's wonderful that you're alright! The royal physician mentioned two days ago that you might recover soon, but we couldn't be sure."

"This is such good news! As long as you're awake, there's still hope!"

Seeing Qin Yi, the ministers momentarily forgot all about the intelligence. Their gazes, filled with excitement, fixated entirely on him.

Qin Yi couldn't help but shake his head with a bitter smile. He understood all too well what these ministers wanted. After his father, the former King, passed away, these ministers— essentially useless loafers— had been left to him.

Expecting constructive advice from them was a joke. It was these fools who had pushed his predecessor into the 'Naruto' world unprepared.

There was no doubt that now, seeing him awake, they would soon begin urging him to venture back into the ''Otherworld'' again.

''As Expected.''

"Your Majesty, now that you've regained consciousness, after a bit more preparation, you must enter the Otherworld again. Only then can our kingdom stop shrinking."

"Yes, exactly! If this continues, our territory will dwindle so much that we'll lose even the space to survive!"

"We should rally our warriors and give it another try. If we succeed, the kingdom will evolve and grow stronger."

Hearing these anxious urgings, Qin Yi responded with nothing but a cold smile.

"I already have my plans," He said.

With that, he flicked his sleeve and turned to leave.

The ministers stood there, stunned and at a loss for words. There was a faint sense among them that this awakened King seemed very different from the one they knew before.

As Qin Yi walked away, his heart was heavy with frustration.

'Good-for-nothings lead to ruin.' These so-called ministers— every single one of them— were utterly useless. The former host of his body didn't realize this, but Qin Yi saw it all too clearly.

Their reckless advice had pushed the previous Qin Yi to charge blindly into the Naruto World, resulting in his death. Worse, his younger sister and most of the kingdom's warriors were now trapped in the Otherworld, embroiled in unrelenting conflict with no way to return.

"The ministers are unreliable, and entering the Naruto World is urgent."

Qin Yi's face turned grim.

He knew there was no time to waste. But if he rushed into that world recklessly, how would his fate differ from the previous Qin Yi's?

"Who else can I rely on?"

A nation cannot be founded by one person alone. Moreover, Qin Yi had only just arrived in this world and had little understanding of the full extent of a King's abilities. Without guidance, he was no different from a lamb to the slaughter.

Desperately searching his memory, Qin Yi's eyes suddenly lit up.

"There is someone!"

"And surprisingly, it's him!"

"So, my so-called father wasn't entirely irresponsible when he left me with this mess!"

A smile curved at the corners of his lips, and Qin Yi felt a weight lift from his chest.

In his mind, he recalled that before his father left, he had deliberately entrusted someone to him, urging the young King to make good use of that person. Unfortunately, the 17-year-old Qin Yi was pampered and naïve and he never understood that individual's worth. For years, the man was left idle, his potential utterly ignored.

But Qin Yi would not repeat that mistake. That man was someone renowned in his past life, an exceptionally capable individual. Especially when it came to exploring the unknown, this was his forte.

Walking down the streets, Qin Yi's expression grew heavier.

The Royal City was in shambles. There was no business, no work, and no labor. Everywhere, starving citizens wandered aimlessly, their eyes hollow and lifeless, awaiting death with despair in their hearts.

Only when Qin Yi passed by did faint glimmers of light appear in their eyes. With great effort, they knelt before him, offering their respects.

At that moment, Qin Yi felt their reverence and desperate hope.

His body trembled, his skin erupting in goosebumps. As his gaze met theirs, he finally understood the meaning of the phrase, 'To wear the crown, one must bear its weight.'

The pressure of their impending deaths and their fragile hope for survival bore down on him like a mountain.

"Perhaps the spoiled youth I once was also saw these same eyes, and that's why he recklessly plunged into the Otherworld," Qin Yi mused.

Compared to the lives of tens of thousands, what was the worth of a single life?

To protect these suffering people, to give them a better life— this was a King's duty and responsibility!

With determination burning brighter in his eyes, Qin Yi quickened his pace.

He had to find that man.

This dire situation could only be overcome with his help!
