Killed For 100 Years in Hueco Mundo, Aizen Invited Me To Soul Society!

Chapter 284: Chapter 284: Beast-Like Instinct

Although Unohana told Byakuya to stop and even explained to Byakuya about Zaraki having more power sealed inside of him, Byakuya still wanted to participate in the battle.

It was never in his character to stay powerless like this.

Under his control, Senbonzakura attacked Mazuru from different angles.

However, just like before, Mazuru didn't pay attention to his Senbonzakura at all, or rather, after seeing the extent of Byakuya's power after facing his Shūkei: Hakuteiken, Mazuru didn't regard Byakuya as an opponent any longer.

And just as Byakuya had expected earlier, Senbonzakura's attack was too weak to offer any damage to Mazuru.

A random hit from him could break it apart.

Moreover, the cherry blossoms' flying speed for agile masters, was indeed a bit slow. Back then, Byakuya had seen Ichigo dodging his attacks by the enhanced speed granted by his Bankai.

It was also at that time that because Ichigo's Zanpakuto was too small after he performed Bankai, he once stated that there couldn't be such a small Bankai, but later he understood its power in his battle against Ichigo.

Zangetsu, Ichigo's Zanpakuto became such a slender and small sword after releasing Bankai in order to boost his speed further.

At that speed, only such a small sword could exert its maximum effect!

Although Byakuya was manipulating the cherry blossoms with both hands, as it could make them fly faster.

But that doesn't mean that they could touch Mazuru.

Because of that Byakuya wanted to overwhelm him with numbers by surrounding him, even though he knew that Mazuru could destroy his trap with just a swing of his sword but that window could give Zaraki a chance to score a hit, but that's when Mazuru who was being surrounded and wrapped around by cherry blossoms, showed another of his abilities.

Spatial Transference.

"It's the ability he had when he releases his shikai."

Very few people in Soul Society knows the information about Mazuru's Bankai, but his shikai's ability was not a secret. After all, in all these years in Seireitei, although the times when Mazuru had taken shots were not many, but they were not too few either. Some of his shikai's basic abilities have been known by many people.

For example, he could condense blood-red silk threads to limit the speed and movements of the enemy, and at the same time, it could be used to heal his allies, or it could be turned into a blood-red light shield to block damage.

His Zanpakuto was strong without a doubt, it could even turn the thin blood-red thread into a powerful crimson slash, which flies out with the sword pressure produced by Mazuru's superb swordsmanship.

Although some of these abilities have various flaws, it had to be said that these abilities of Mazuru were very comprehensive.

It could be described as both offensive and defensive.

As Mazuru's disciple, Byakuya was no stranger to the abilities of his teacher's Zanpakuto, he knew that in addition to these abilities, Mazuru's shikai had another ability.

That was to be enable him to freely carry out spatial displacements between the diffuse ranges of those blood-red silk threads.

"So even after releasing your Bankai, you still retain this ability?"

Byakuya was a little surprised at first, but then it didn't seem so strange to him.

Bankai is the ultimate liberation of Zanpakuto, in most cases, it is a re-sublimation of its shikai's abilities.

'Why did I think that his Bankai will lose its shikai's abilities?'

With this thought, Byakuya's heart sank.

If during Mazuru shikai, there were only a lot of blood-red threads condensed by reiatsu in the air, then after his Bankai, it was no longer possible to be described as blood-red threads, it was directly a blood-red, a crimson world, and everything around was filled with blood-red mist.

Byakuya thought of one more detail.

That is, when Mazuru died twice and was reborn, the places where he appeared were not fixed.

This meant that Mazuru had not only retained that ability, it might even be more difficult than his shikai's one, as it meant that he could move freely in this blood-red world.

Byakuya continued to maneuver Senbonzakura towards Mazuru.

Sure enough, every time he thought he had found an excellent opportunity to entangle Mazuru and let Zaraki make a stronger slash to hit Mazuru hard, Mazuru's figure would instantly shift, not only avoiding Senbonzakura, but even avoiding Zaraki's slash.

'It is becoming more and more difficult!'

Seeing Mazuru's outrageous transference at the spatial-level which surpassed his shikai's spatial transference ability, confirmed the conjectures in his heart.

The doubts about whether they could take Mazuru back to Soul Society in Byakuya's heart intensified.

"Captain Kuchiki, don't be so nervous… Haven't you found out yet?"

Seeing that Byakuya was still trying and becoming more and more desperate, Unohana didn't choose to say any more dissuading words. She continued to maintain Kaidō, and the green light fell on Zaraki, healing his injuries.

*Boom*

The sword fell to the ground with a huge roar.

Byakuya finally woke up when he heard the loud sound and answered Unohana's question.

"Captain Zaraki... He has become stronger."

This was an extremely incredible fact to believe.

But Byakuya did sense that Zaraki's strength has grown in such a short time.

Although the previous Zaraki was also very strong, but his attacks were chaotic, Mazuru could easily dodge them without even paying much attention, but the current Zaraki was different, his attacks were more natural, obviously they were still as simple as ever, but it didn't continue to appear to be clumsy, and sometimes Mazuru wasn't even been able avoid Zaraki's straight attacks.

If he was hit by such an attack, he would definitely die.

"So, whenever he used that spatial transference ability, what he avoided was never Senbonzakura, but Captain Zaraki's attacks."

After realizing this fact, Byakuya felt hopeless.

Then he decisively lifted Senbonzakura's Bankai and readily became a spectator.

If he had any doubts about what Unohana said before, after seeing Zaraki's progress in real-time during the battle and seeing Zaraki's attacking strength, he found that if they wanted to defeat Mazuru, they really had to choose to believe Zaraki because that is the most plausible choice.

After all, with Zaraki's improvement, even Mazuru now began to avoid his attacks seriously.

Zaraki might really be able to create miracles if he improves further!

Mazuru also noticed Byakuya's movements, but he didn't take it seriously, just as Byakuya guessed, after the Shūkei: Hakuteiken was unable hurt him, he didn't regard Byakuya as an opponent any longer.

But Zaraki's performance exceeded his expectations.

If at the beginning, Zaraki still relied on his mercy to survive, and then he was healed by Unohana with Kaidō, then now, after suffering countless injuries, Zaraki had changed.

His slashes had started to catch up with Mazuru's rhythm.

Sometimes, some of Mazuru's offensives were actually seen through by him.

No, it could not be said to have been seen through.

Instead, it was more like relying on just his instincts, he was avoiding Mazuru's attacks.

This beast-like instinct, even Mazuru had to praise it.
