Chapter 9: Origins: The Advisor called Biswanath
"Prepare…prepare what? Whom?" Nripathi kept wondering. He was sitting up on the grass.
He couldn't forget the man he had seen. How could an ordinary farmer be so mesmerising?
"SIR SIR SIR…!!!"
Someone shouted in the distance.
"Who's that?" Nripathi squinted. But that was not necessary. He could see clearly even though the man Was a kilometer away.
It was Suraj. He was running towards him.
"Oh God! Why him again? As it is, it's uncomfortable how I can't answer his questions, now he is even following me."
Suraj exhausted himself after reaching Nripathi.
"Fou–Haa….found….it." he said, trying to catch his breath.
"What…What did you find?" Nripathi wondered.
"The smi-smithy sir…Haa…the smithy."
Nripathi stood surprised for a moment.
"Sir?"
"H-huh!! Oh!! Quick Quick!! Lead me there."
They came back to the palace. They reached the hall and Suraj led him in a completely new direction.
There was a comparatively smaller door to the right of the large circular hall. They entered through there and arrived at another wide passage.
There was another door at the end of the passage.
"Is that the door?" Nripathi asked.
"Yes. That's the one."
They walked briskly towards it. Suraj touched the wooden Door lightly and golden Engravings Started glowing on it.
"It accepts the smith only." he said, a little proud.
The door opened inwards revealing a brightly lit room, showcasing many unknown metal ingots, ores, bars, gemstones and crystals and demon skulls and bones, hides.
There stood in the centre of the room a tapering pedestal on which rested a golden book.
Nripathi touched it and a window popped up displaying the book's name.
"Srishti Pustakam"
"Sri-srishti pustakam…the book of creation?" Nripathi looked at Suraj. "Creation of what exactly?"
As if to answer his question, the book opened on its own and flipped his golden pages. It had several images accompanied by the Sanskrit script.
Nripathi could make out some of the content from the pictures. But before he could say anything, a red window popped up in front of him.
"Warning: There are several unknown people approaching Shree Mahal."
"Huh?!" Nripathi looked a little taken aback.
He rushed outside, leaving Suraj behind. But Suraj sensed something wrong and followed him.
On reaching the main entrance of Shree Mahal, Nripathi discovered that a group of ten were walking across the open gardens to reach the foot of the stairs.
Nripathi and Suraj intercepted them a little distance away from the foot of the stairs.
"Who are you and what brings you here?" Nripathi asked aggressively.
A middle aged man replied, "That beautiful structure that you have there was the cause but also we are looking for a shelter."
The man looked to be in his late forties and had a light beard on his face. His hair which was covered in concrete dust was mostly black with touches of grey here and there, but his sideburns were entirely white.
His white shirt was intact for most of the part except his collar, which seemed to have gotten torn in his struggle for survival. His black shoes were white with dust and his trousers were in a similar state.
Behind his spectacles shone a pair of curious intelligent eyes, appearing much younger than the owner himself. His skin had wrinkled around his temples and cheeks making him seem older than his age.
Nripathi used the skill 'thousand eyes' on the middle aged man to see his information.

"I hate to boast but I am of rather an efficient mind." Biswanath began. "If you allow me, I could help you with certain problems that you may have thought about and found no solution to."
"Problems?" Nripathi had raised his left eyebrow. "What are these so-called problems?"
"Haha…what problems do you think a wise ruler, such as yourself, would face? Wouldn't it be regarding the management of such a grand palace."
Nripathi leaned in, bringing his face closer to Biswanth's, "what makes you think i am the king?"
"Sir, how could you not be? Your gait, mannerisms have already adapted to suit your role as the ruler." Biswanath smiled.
"I somehow like you, old man."
"I am just 48 years old, sir, not that old yet. Just've seen a bit more of the world than yourself."
"I think I do need an a–" Nripathi began.
"But if you do choose to avail my help, please grant my companions a place to stay." Biswanath interrupted Nripathi.
"Very well." Nripathi said, accepting his proposal. "I would like to get to work immediately, though."
"That will not be a problem. In fact I have some suggestions ready for you." Biswanath clapped his hands and smiled.
"There is an entire world waiting to be explored outside the palace grounds. I suggest you prepare a team for exploration purposes." Biswanath said. "That being said, we need someone to record and preserve our findings."
"We have our archivist."
"Excellent!! Our Koy here can help with the recordings as well."
Nripathi looked at the young man and said, "Do you have a girl who could help?"
Biswanath understood the problem and said, "Well, if it's just helping the main archivist, Pushti should be able to help, no problem."
"Secondly, food and production of other essentials should be initiated. Essentials would include weapons too. We would undoubtedly need them." Biswanath continued.
They continued their discussion as they walked towards Shree Mahal. The sun was starting to set on what would be a long night for the usherers of the new age.
