Kali Yuga: War of Worlds

Chapter 7: Origins: The Beginning of Amravati

Another blue screen flashed in front of Nripathi.

"You are the first to create a domain"

"You have been given 200 karma points." it flashed

"Would you like to name the 1st city of your creation?" It flashed again

"Yes."

"What would you name it?"

"..."

Nripathi looked at the screen for a while and wondered what might be an appropriate name for this place.

"Amravati. I shall name it Amravati."

"Amravati has been chosen." The blue window glowed before changing again.

"What shall be the name of your palace?"

Nripathi did not think much before saying, "Shree Mahal."

The system acknowledged this name as well.

A look of wonder and disappointment filled his face.

"So this is nothing but a game for the higher beings." Nripathi thought.

The instructions were unclear and he did not know the next step.

News of the development of a new structure overnight in Madhya Pradesh spread slowly and steadily. The modern system of news and rumors had collapsed completely.

It was not before an entire year that the news of this miracle had travelled the length and breadth of India.

Nripathi had chosen to name his domain, Amravati. It was the first paradise on earth.

The people he was with were capable enough to pull their own weight. They started exploring Amravati and realised that there were a lot of unaccounted structures.

Nripathi had explained a part of his abilities to the people and laid bare that this miracle was his doing. He also explained that this was where they would try getting used to living.

He roughly explained the structure of the place, and the existence of the hospital and the convenience store.

"There is a long road ahead of us and a future at the end, that we might never get to see but we have got to do everything to survive today." Nripathi said.

The response of the others was not so great in the beginning.

"You don't work, you get to stay here. Don't forget that." Nripathi added.

"Thousand eyes!" Nripathi whispered again.

His eyes glowed golden and then he realised that he could see the information of the people in front of him. There was a young girl and her information caught his attention. It was written on the same blue screen.

Name: Shreya Lohi

"Shreya Lohi…." he spoke without thinking.

There was a moment's silence before the girl said, "y-yes…"

"Huh!...oh!" Nripathi realised his mistake. "U-Umm…you…you take care of the recording part of the Amravati."

"Recording?" The girl looked puzzled. "Record what?"

"Everything. Everything that you see here, you come across be it demons, fruits, foods, water, mechanisms, structures everything."

There was another man that caught his attention.

"Name: Suraj Bhoja

Constellation: none

The translucent blue screen was clearly not detailed but it was still understandable to an extent.

"uh…Bhoja right? You take care of all the repair work around here." Nripathi said.

He did not find anyone else having any special skill.

"The rest of you can assist the two. That's it for now."

As soon as he said it, a golden light wrapped their entire body and they started levitating a little above the ground before suddenly falling on their ass.

"Ouch!!!" they cried out.

Everyone was shocked. Nripathi checked their information again. There were slight changes in their information.

Nripathi suppressed a laugh.

"What sort of child's play is this?" he thought.

"Ahem…um well now that you have been granted official titles, get to work." Nripathi asked them, with a casual wave of his hand.

Thus began an era of learning and discovery.

It took an entire month for Shreya to finish exploring the palace that had been built. To say it was enormous would be an understatement.

It had a total of 150 rooms.

An enormous office was situated at the topmost floor. That floor was the most decorated and lavishly made. One could tell at one glance that the floor was made for the owner of the structure.

The other rooms were not something to laugh at either. Each room had a style of its own. The rooms on the lowest floors were given to the miscellaneous members of the party.

Shreya and Suraj were given rooms on the second highest floor, owing to their special abilities.

There was a records room. A vast space filled with wooden stacked shelves, cabinets and racks that were filled with blank paper and a big quill. It was as if everything was made ready for Shreya.

It looked like the room could easily fit at least 3000 books.

She stood for a whole minute in the records room before suddenly being shaken back to her senses by Nripathi.

"Quite big for an archives room, huh?"

"I don't think the space will be wasted, though." Shreya said.

There were modern recreational facilities like swimming pools, clubs and bars but not one employee of those facilities could be seen.

"I want everything recorded and preserved properly." Nripathi said, looking around. "Don't miss a single thing. This palace was made to last an eternity."

Seeing how well everything was arranged, he could not help but wonder that maybe he had played no part in this elaborate planning of the palace.
