Kaiho Koshiro

Chapter 29: Chapter 29 - pervert

The next day, during lunch break, the group gathered around their usual spot in the courtyard. The sun was out, and the breeze felt gentle against their faces. Saito broke the silence as he took a bite from his sandwich.

"So… how were your classes yesterday?"

Nat and Lucky exchanged glances, both looking equally clueless.

"What class?" Lucky asked, tilting his head.

Saito gave them a deadpan stare. "Math. The one you enrolled in?"

Lucky shrugged. "Oh, right. Uh… I passed out like 30 seconds in."

Kaiho sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose. "As expected…"

Nat smirked. "Hey, what about you guys? You were in the same class with that spiky yellow-haired dude, right? What was that about?"

Saito nodded thoughtfully. "Yeah, he actually seemed to behave himself yesterday . Kinda weird… he doesn't seem like the type to stay quiet."

Kaiho blinked. "Wait… he was in our class?"

Saito raised an eyebrow. "Bro, you would've noticed if you weren't so busy staring at Dove the entire time."

Kaiho instantly turned red. "Wha—What?! No! I wasn't—"

Saito smirked. "Sure. Whatever you say. Anyway, what did the other two students from Class A look like?"

Kaiho rubbed his neck, trying to deflect. "Ah… okay, maybe I was a little distracted."

Saito shook his head, crossing his arms. "I don't know why, but these people from Class A seem kinda shady. There was that guy with black hair and a hoodie who barely spoke a word… and the girl? She hid her face the whole time. It felt… off."

Kaiho nodded, his face growing more serious. "Yeah, you're right. That yellow hair guy… he's not the type to stay quiet for no reason."

Saito leaned closer. "Remember last time? When Athreya gave that order and the guy backed off instantly? Maybe… it's the same guy."

Kaiho stretched, adjusting his uniform as the group headed toward their next set of lectures. He glanced at the schedule in his hand, feeling a mix of curiosity and lingering tension.

"Well… whatever. We'll figure it out today. We have Language twice a week, so if those Class A weirdos try something, we'll know soon enough," he muttered, stuffing the paper back into his pocket.

Lucky blinked, scratching his head. "Uh… what's the first lecture again?"

Suddenly, a voice rang out from the field.

"Kids, get ready to run!"

Kaiho's eyes widened in horror. "…Fuck."

After the Training Session

Kaiho staggered behind the rest of the students, drenched in sweat and barely keeping up. But what really caught his attention wasn't the exhaustion—it was Dove, the quiet girl with blonde hair walking several paces ahead of everyone.

"Why is she walking so fast?" he mumbled under his breath, watching as she effortlessly kept a distance from the crowd.

Saito, equally out of breath, replied, "I think… she's an introvert. Trying to avoid conversation or something…or maybe just avoiding you."

Kaiho shot him a glare. "What?! No—"

Before he could finish, a smug voice echoed from the side.

"Well, well, well… if it isn't the nepo kid and lizard."

Kaiho's head snapped toward the voice. Ed from Class A, smirking as usual, had his arms crossed, flanked by a few other students.

Kaiho raised an eyebrow. "What are you, a second grader?"

Ed's grin twisted into a scowl. "Hey, punk. Looks like you forgot your lesson from last time—"

Saito (internally screaming): Why does this always escalate so fast… WHY?!

Kaiho, gritting his teeth, whispered, "Why do things go from zero to a hundred with you people?!"

Suddenly, a calm but sharp voice cut through the tension.

"Stop causing such a ruckus."

Everyone turned.

The masked girl—Freya—had stepped forward, her face half-hidden behind her porcelain mask. Though most of her features were obscured, her piercing eyes radiated authority.

Ed clenched his fists, clearly annoyed. "Last I checked, I don't take orders from you, Freya."

Freya's tone stayed calm but colder. "Don't forget what Athreya said. Stand. Down."

Ed hesitated, gritting his teeth, but ultimately backed off with a frustrated "Tch…whatever."

Kaiho relaxed slightly but kept his guard up as Ed and his group finally turned away.

The silence lingered for a beat too long.

Then, completely shattering the tension—

"WELCOME, LADIES AND GENTLEMEN!"

Negan strutted into the courtyard, adjusting his tie with flair, flashing his signature grin as if stepping onto a stage.

Kaiho groaned internally. Of course… him.

As Negan entered the classroom, his usual charismatic grin stretched across his face as he clapped his hands for attention.

"Welcome, ladies and gentlemen! Another thrilling day of expanding your brilliant minds!"

Kaiho and Saito exchanged a glance, both still catching their breath from the intense morning run. Dove sat quietly, avoiding eye contact while Ed stood in the corner, still fuming.

Negan continued, "Now, before we dive into today's lesson, let's talk about… personal space. You—" He pointed at Ed. "What's your name again? Edwin? Eggplant? Edgelord?"

"It's Ed!" the boy snapped.

"Cool, Ed. Listen, calling people names like 'lizard' and 'nepo kid'? Yeah, that's about as creative as a rock. Step it up, dude. Or better yet—step back. We're here to learn, not to audition for a daytime soap opera."

Ed's fists clenched, but Freya shot him a warning glance. Reluctantly, he muttered, "Tch… whatever."

Kaiho, whispering to Saito: "Why does he act like we're on some kind of Rom-com?"

Negan clapped again. "Alright, let's focus! Language isn't just about words. It's about power. Command. Influence. Even the way you say something can shift a battle."

Kaiho's attention snapped back as Negan demonstrated, his voice subtly vibrating with mana, causing a stack of books to tremble slightly on the desk.

"This," Negan said, lowering his voice dramatically, "is the real magic behind language. Today, we'll start with resonance control. Repeat after me—"

The class began mimicking his words, though Kaiho couldn't help but feel on edge, glancing occasionally at Freya and Ed. Something about this group from Class A didn't sit right.

Saito whispered, "This is gonna be a long day."

After class…

Negan leaned back against his desk, arms crossed, grinning as the other students filtered out. "So, you ready, bro?"

Kaiho took a deep breath, thinking, For those who don't know, I've been taking extra classes to learn sign language. It's just the alphabet for now, but I'm getting the hang of it.

Negan raised his eyebrows. "Alright, test time. Try to guess this one."

He raised his hands and began forming a sign carefully.

Kaiho squinted, concentrating. "…B?"

Negan nodded, smirking as he made another sign.

"…O?"

Negan's grin widened as he made a third.

Kaiho blinked. "…O… again?"

Negan paused dramatically before flashing a fourth sign, eyes sparkling with mischief.

Kaiho narrowed his eyes. "B…S…? Wait—DUDE! Seriously?"

Negan burst out laughing, barely able to keep his balance. "What? You gotta admit, it's funny! High five!" He held up his hand, still snickering.

Kaiho nods no.

Negan, undeterred, patted his shoulder with a wink. "Eh, you'll get there, bro. Baby steps!"

Back Home…

Kaiho walked in, shutting the door behind him with a sigh. "Hey, Mom. I'm back."

Mikoto, busy slicing vegetables in the kitchen, called out, "Welcome back, sweetie! How was the academy today?"

Kaiho dropped his bag on the couch and slouched into a chair. "Uh… kinda weird, actually."

Mikoto peeked around the corner, curious. "Weird how?"

Kaiho rubbed his neck, hesitating for a moment. "Well… there's this teacher. His name's Negan. And—"

Mikoto immediately froze, her knife stopping mid-slice. "Wait. What did you just say his name was?"

Kaiho blinked. "Negan… why?"

CRACK. The cutting board split slightly under her grip.

Her expression darkened. "That pervert?" she said through gritted teeth.

Kaiho leaned back, eyes widening. "Whoa, whoa! Wait—what do you mean 'pervert'? I mean, yeah he talks about women a lot ,tells me stories about his hook ups and all he thinks about sex, but—he is a pervert "

Mikoto clenched her fists, her aura practically radiating menace. "I knew it! If it's that guy, I'll have to pay a visit to your academy. Nobody messes with my son."

Kaiho, sweating slightly, thought: Okay… sometimes Mom is actually terrifying.

"JUST CALL ME if he tries anything weird again," Mikoto said, voice dangerously calm.

Kaiho nodded rapidly. "Yes, ma'am."
