I've Become the King of Villains in the Game

Chapter 174: Shepherd Aaron (Three-in-One, Vote!)_4

"What are we going to do?! There are too many of them..."

Doghead Gold cried out anxiously.

Dongyang's brows were tightly knit; he looked around and saw that they had been surrounded. Breaking through seemed extremely difficult.

"We can't retreat. Since our Sanity Values are already so low, we might as well go all out and kill as many monsters as we can..."

Polaris said calmly.

He loaded a new fuel block into his Mechanical Glove and flexed his fingers.

"These are all Experience Points, and they might drop transcendental materials... We at least have to make up for the loss caused by dying twice, and clear the obstacles for our next Resurrection!"

Having said that, he hurled a scorching Fireball at the closest Ratman.

Boom!!

The Ratman, carrying a wooden club, tried to jump away but was a step too late. It was smeared by the exploding flames, and half of its body burst into fierce flames.

Squeak squeak—!

A burnt smell wafted through the air as the Ratman screamed in agony, rolling on the ground non-stop.

Rumble rumble...

Numerous Ratmen swarmed toward the players, repeating the word "yes" and brandishing their weapons with bloodthirsty faces.

The players raised their Firearms and shot down one gray-robed Ratman after another. But the ones behind stepped over the bodies of their companions and charged forward.

And the players' Firearms hadn't been reloaded yet when the Ratmen closed in on them!

Woo—dong!

A studded wooden club smashed down on Doghead Gold's forehead, blowing his head open.

[You have died!]

The next second after Doghead Gold vanished in a white light, Forget No Taboo, who sat collapsed beside him, was also spared no mercy and taken down with a strike.

"Don't fire at the same time! There will be a gap in the firepower! Su Keying, you and Wei Yin should cover us when we're reloading!"

Polaris shouted.

He ducked low to avoid the strike from the Ratman in front of him, then sprayed a jet of flame at close range.

Bang!

Although he set his opponent on fire, he also got singed by the flames due to the proximity.

Polaris, enduring the burning pain, rolled on the ground and used the mud and sand to desperately put out the flames on his body.

But there were simply too many Ratmen—around twenty or thirty by estimation.

It was ultimately a brutal battle. In less than two minutes of fighting, only Dongyang, Horseman, and Polaris were left in the player team.

"Stop fighting, grab the loot! Once the time limit expires, they will disappear. Use this life to pick up as much as you can; only then will it not be a loss!"

Polaris spat out a mouthful of blood and said to the other two.

He quickly glanced at his panel and saw that he had accumulated over 500 Experience Points, enough to make up for the loss from dying twice.

"Okay! Horseman, cover me!"

Dongyang said.

"Vice guild leader, make it quick, I can't hold on much longer!"

Horseman put away his Firearm and swung the long spoon in his hand, grappling with the Ratmen before him.

His opponent was a leather-armored Ratman wielding a Large Cleaver, significantly stronger than the ordinary gray-robed Ratmen.

Horseman's repeated spoon strikes on the Ratman's head made a clang, but only wounded it without inflicting a fatal blow.

This action, however, enraged the Ratman, which squealed and, raising its Large Cleaver, cleaved Horseman in two!

Blood splattered!

"Yes, yes...!"

The bloodthirsty Ratman chanted maniacally.

The ground was strewn with the corpses of Ratmen butchered by the players—there were at least a dozen. They quickly broke down into fine particles that sank into the ground, leaving behind transcendental materials like rat fangs, tails, claws, and internal organs of the eyes.

And even a few rare translucent orbs of Pure Substance!

It was just unfortunate that there were too many Ratmen around, and Horseman also made a heroic sacrifice.

Polaris and Dongyang only managed to pick up two or three items before they were cruelly killed by the Ratmen.

Bitterly watching the transcendental materials gradually turn transparent and disappear right before dying.

Both of their hearts bled!

This was their effort! Their hard work!

And it just... evaporated!

What they didn't know was that at the shore of a lake in the Immortal Realm, that familiar youth with a black hat was whistling and counting the loot at his feet.

"Not bad at all, another nine transcendental materials in hand... hmm, and 1000 Experience Points plus 2 Attribute Points,"

Chen Lun murmured to himself with a smile.

Then, propping his arm on his knee and resting his chin in his hand, he pondered.

'It seems the Attribute Point gain is diminishing... Looks like the most rewards come from the players' first encounter kills?'

Chen Lun once again looked out at the lake and raised an eyebrow.

'This Polaris is quite interesting...'
