Chapter 145: Spiritual Realm Messenger (Bonus chapter for leaders and monthly ticket holders, two in one)_3
That was Mr. Bottle's fondness for devouring "curses".
The more bizarre the "curse", the more he enjoyed it, and after consuming the curse from the target, if he was in a good mood, he might even give out some special products from the Spirit World as gifts.
Mr. Bottle's act of doing good deeds without asking for compensation naturally led to his immense popularity. However, his movements were erratic, and he did not stay in any one place for long, making him quite difficult to find.
"This is a problem... Hmm, but I remember there's a 'remedy' for this, not sure if it will work, I could try to find an opportunity to test it next time, perhaps it could lure him out."
Chen Lun thought to himself.
He then took out two bottles of ink from the Blood Poem Ring.
The two ink bottles looked roughly the same, but the base color of the glass bottles was different, one red and one blue.
Chen Lun first toyed with the red one, thinking:
"'Red Ink' has already been produced in a dozen or twenty bottles, except for those needed to be sold for cost recovery, I still carry four or five bottles on me."
This specially made "Shrapnel Explosive" had been tested in actual combat, proving to be extremely powerful and very useful.
It was with two bottles of "Red Ink" that he had blasted a Sequence Eight crow to death when saving the Pompey family, thus tipping the scale of victory in his favor.
Putting down the red ink, he picked up the blue ink.
"This is a high-explosive incendiary bomb made by Connie to my specifications, currently only a few bottles are available as samples..."
Chen Lun carefully cradled it in his palm.
Although Connie had added three safeties to it, this thing belonged to the "ready-to-eat, quite convenient" type.
If it really detonated because it was not handled properly, I wouldn't be affected, but this whole building would likely not survive.
According to Connie's introduction, upon being activated, it would immediately explode and burn, splitting into three smaller fireballs during the process, and then continue splitting into nine fireballs, persistently diffusing and scorching.
The blended fuel was extremely sticky, and the flame was blue, hence it was named 'Blue Ink'.
Humm!
Chen Lun's eyes narrowed.
Suddenly, many Spirit World fissures, normally invisible, appeared in the room.
A myriad of eerie blue diamond-shaped cracks were constantly twisting and pulsating, looking rather terrifying.
"It's not too convenient in the real world, I should try out its power in the Spirit World..."
Chen Lun thought.
In the next second, he reached out to touch a crack by his bedside.
Boom!
His entire field of vision shook, and everything around him changed drastically.
The room was still the same room, but everything in sight had a hazy, unreal quality to it, as if it had been overlaid with a layer of ghostly blue filter.
Chen Lun moved his feet and shot out of the window.
Whoosh!
Black wings emerged behind him, flapping once before turning into scattered black feathers.
After a moment's buffering, Chen Lun landed safely on the ground.
"Hmm?"
He looked up, slightly knitting his brows.
The Spiritual Realm Messenger, disguised in lizardman skin, was being held in hand by a middle-aged man in a gray suit not far ahead.
This was already the Spirit World, and although it still seemed like the courtyard of his own manor, it was not the same thing at all.
"A Lizard Jack, what good luck..."
The middle-aged man suddenly sensed something, lifted his head, and looked over at Chen Lun.
He wore a pair of oddly shaped sunglasses on his nose, and as he saw Chen Lun, he paused for a moment, frowning and saying:
"Sir, are you a Wayward in the Spirit World? If you need help, I can inform you of the precise anchors for several large cities..."
Chen Lun silently observed him without responding.
This middle-aged man was probably a Spirit World scavenger.
As the name suggested, these were people in the Spirit World looking for valuable but unclaimed items, which they usually brought back to the real world to sell or use for themselves.
These individuals weren't particularly strong and didn't have influential backgrounds. They often relied on special abilities or Mysterious Objects that enhanced Insight, venturing into the Spirit World to take risks before advancing to Mid Sequence.
In some sense, Chen Lun himself also fit this description.
The Spirit World is boundless and dangerous, a vast common area.
Its time and space do not coincide with those of the real world.
Perhaps by taking a step in and another out, a person might appear a hundred meters away, or even in another block.
Therefore, when navigating through the Spirit World, one must know the precise anchors for the return journey; otherwise, it's easy to get lost...
Getting lost here might mean never making it back to the real world. History is not devoid of such tragic examples amongst the Transcendents.
"Sir? How may I address you...? My name is Ni..."
The man in the gray suit was holding the limp lizardman messenger, slowly walking towards Chen Lun.
Suddenly, he dropped the messenger he was holding, and his entire figure slashed through the air like a afterimage, appearing in front of Chen Lun.
With a ferocious smile, his large hand reached for Chen Lun's neck.
Snap!
But the next second.
A look of horror crossed the sunglasses-wearing man's face.
In front of him, the black-haired young man suddenly extended his left hand, transforming it into a thick, dark golden object like a serpent or tentacle, wrapping it around him.
"Just in need of a spectator, why not join me here to enjoy some fireworks..."
Chen Lun said softly.
The gray-suited man bound by the serpent-like tentacle gritted his teeth, his body shining brightly, his hands moving as if trying to break free.
"Locksmith? Well, give it a try..."
Chen Lun chuckled lightly, unaffected by the other's struggle.
With a flick of his right hand, he took out the bottle of blue ink.
Gently unlocking the mechanism, he pressed the button.
Boom!!
Flames enveloped his entire body, covering both Chen Lun and the man in his hands.
The Spirit World scavenger exerted all his power to use the "Locksmith" ability, only to despair as he found the serpentile tentacle that bound him tightening more and more, completely unaffected.
"The effect of 'Serpentine Incarnation' combined with 'Abyss Touch' is quite punctual..."
Dark golden scales slowly covered Chen Lun's face as he inwardly sighed.
Piercing screams echoed in his ears.
The blue flames burst forth, splitting, and finally diffusing, with Chen Lun at the center, tens of meters around him were engulfed in fierce flames.
Although it was still far from matching the 'Coronal Flash' used on Lafa during the battle at Bradley Square, the overall effect was still quite satisfactory.
As the blue flames slowly died down.
In the middle of Chen Lun's coiled serpentine tentacle, the figure had been burned to charred black, the escaping spirit unable to properly transform into Mysterious Objects, along with his own sunglasses Mysterious Object, turned into several portions of Mysterious Substance.
Chen Lun shook his head slightly.
Having come to the Spirit World just to test the power of the incendiary bomb, he hadn't expected to inadvertently slaughter a Transcendent who had delivered himself to the door—it was purely accidental.
Suddenly, a strange noise came to his ears.
Chen Lun looked up and saw a goat-headed humanoid creature emerging from behind a hazy tree.
It seemed delighted, running over before opening its mouth wide.
The familiar white graffiti ball popped out, jabbering away at something.
Chen Lun listened in silence, letting out a light chuckle.
Looking at the ground beside him, the "lizardman suit" had been burned by the aftermath of the "blue ink," and the cunning "scam doll" had slipped away without notice, never actually caught by the man earlier.

The manor was as it had been, showing no signs of having been scorched.
