Under the table, Mike and Gwen stared in horror as Dr. Kurt's leather shoes tore apart, revealing two green-scaled, reptilian feet.
At the same time, a thick, scaled tail burst from his white coat, whipping the air with terrifying force. The floor cracked, the blackboard splintered, and deep gouges marred the desk as Dr. Kurt transformed into a monstrous lizard.
'Dr. Kurt… is the Lizard Man?!'
As the realization hit Mike, he felt a sudden softness and warmth on his lips. Turning his head, he saw Gwen's delicate face mere inches from his.
Without hesitation, Mike leaned in, understanding the silent agreement between them. Both of them kissed each other, not for long to their dissatisfaction, but knowing the situation they held back.
The two's spider senses intertwined, merging seamlessly as their abilities aligned once again.
Dr. Kurt, now fully transformed into a massive lizard, stumbled out of the lab, his tail smashing the doorframe as he exited.
The moment he left, the table Mike and Gwen had hidden under was flung aside.
"Gwen, your clothes are in my bag!" Mike said quickly.
"Got it! I'll change and start evacuating the school. You head to the office building and grab the item from my locker!" Gwen replied before darting out of the lab with agility and speed.
Mike wasted no time, heading for the office building on the opposite side of the campus.
Mike arrived at the office building, only to run into Instructor Roth at the main entrance.
"Mike! I was just looking for you!" Roth said, waving him over.
"Looking for me?" Mike asked, confused.
"The new dean specifically mentioned your name. She wants you to head to her office immediately." Roth explained, patting him on the shoulder.
"Got it." Mike nodded, then quickly added, "But listen—Dr. Kurt just transformed into a lizard monster! The school is in danger. Please evacuate the students as soon as possible!"
Instructor Roth's expression shifted to one of disbelief, "Dr. Kurt… a lizard monster? Are you sure?"
"I saw it with my own eyes!" Mike said with conviction.
Roth paused for a moment before nodding firmly, "Alright. I'll start the evacuation now."
Relieved, Mike continued toward the dean's office.
The dean's office was dimly lit, the curtains drawn to block out most of the sunlight. Inside, sitting behind a desk, was a striking woman in a leopard-print coat.
Her elegant posture and mature charm immediately caught Mike's attention. She had long legs bare from the knee down, crossed casually beneath the desk. The curve of her thighs, exposed by the rolled-up hem of her sweater dress, exuded a seductive allure.
Mike couldn't help but question if such a woman truly fit the role of an academic dean.
"Close the door." She said, turning her office chair slightly to face him.
Mike hesitated, "Why do we need to close the door?"
The woman's dark lips curled into a sly smile, "Because what I'm about to tell you involves Diana Prince, Wonder Woman. Are you sure you want to leave it open?"
At the mention of Wonder Woman, Mike's heart sank. Without another word, he closed the door.
"Who are you?" Mike asked coldly, his instincts on high alert.
"Don't be so impatient, kid." Barbara turned her office chair back to face Mike and gestured toward the chair across the desk, "Sit down, and let's talk."
Mike took a deep breath and sat down.
"Now that's more like it." Barbara's delicate, charming face looked pleased. She seemed to regard Mike more favorably as she continued, "My name is Barbara Minerva. Based on my relationship with Diana, you should call me Aunt Barbara—or Aunt Leopard."
"Barbara Minerva… Leopard…"
Mike's pupils shrank slightly. He recalled his Aunt Diana mentioning her past encounters in passing, including one about a close friend-turned-enemy known as the "Cheetah."
Cheetah wasn't the name of a hero.
It was the title of a supervillain.
Barbara noticed his reaction and smirked, "Ah, so Diana's already told you about her identity and a bit about me. Then you must know it was me who put the photo of Wonder Woman in your home."
Mike nodded, "That's right." He hesitated, Then added sincerely, "Thank you for that."
Barbara raised an eyebrow, surprised, "Thank me? For what?"
Mike explained, "Because that photo gave my aunt and me a chance to reconnect after sixteen years of estrangement."
Barbara looked momentarily stunned before bursting into laughter, her body shaking with mirth, "I thought you'd grow distant or fearful after learning Diana's identity. I didn't expect the two of you to get even closer."
She stood and slipped off her leopard-print coat, revealing a snug sweater dress beneath.
"Are you ready?" Barbara's voice held a predatory edge.
Mike frowned. Despite possessing enhanced spider abilities, he wasn't eager to reveal them unless absolutely necessary.
"I need to warn you." Mike said quickly, "There's a lizard creature loose in the school, and it could be headed this way."
Barbara scoffed, "That would be Dr. Curt Connors. I've long suspected your school isn't ordinary—what kind of place hires people like him?" Her tone turned sharp, "But that has nothing to do with me. You're my target."
Before Mike could react, Barbara crawled under the desk, her hands sliding along the chair until she gripped the armrests.
Rising, her face inches from Mike's, Barbara whispered, "Diana raised you well. You must taste… delicious."
Mike stiffened in alarm, 'Is she serious about eating me?'
Suddenly, a loud fire alarm blared from the hallway. Shouts and screams echoed outside, accompanied by an animalistic roar.
Mike barely had time to react when the office window shattered with a crash. A lithe figure clad in black leather swung through, kicking Barbara away.
It was Natasha Romanov, their new instructor. The Black Widow had returned, her presence exuding cold professionalism.
"Black Widow." Barbara sneered, recovering quickly from the blow. Her heels had been knocked off, and she stood barefoot, poised like a predator, "He's my target."
"Not anymore." Natasha replied calmly, aiming a sleek pistol at Barbara.
Barbara let out a wild laugh, "No one steals my prey!"
Mike, caught between the two fierce women, slumped in his chair, muttering under his breath, "Am I prey or a trophy here?"
Black Widow and Barbara squared off, their intense stares more piercing than their words.
Barbara crouched low and lunged forward with incredible speed. Natasha fired three rapid shots, each narrowly missing as Barbara zigzagged across the office like a striking leopard.
The two women collided with a flash of sparks as Barbara's claws scraped against Natasha's Widow's Sting. The collision sent electrical currents surging into Barbara, momentarily stunning her. But it wasn't enough to stop her.
Barbara shed her sweater, revealing a sleek, muscled form covered in leopard spots. Fully transformed, she leaped toward Natasha, her claws tearing through the Black Widow's reinforced suit.
Natasha gritted her teeth, raising her arms to block. Blood sprayed as Barbara's claws sliced through her defenses, sending Natasha hurtling backward and out the broken window.
Barbara turned back to Mike, her predatory eyes gleaming, "Now, little emperor, it's just the two of us."
Mike, sitting tensely, kept his gaze lowered. But Barbara noticed something strange. Golden light glimmered faintly from the bracelet on his arm.
Barbara froze, a primal fear overcoming her, "That's Diana's bracelet. She gave it to you?" She shook her head, sneering, "No matter. One bracelet won't stop me."
She reached for Mike, but her hand recoiled as if burned. Her fur bristled, "What is this feeling?"
Before Barbara could investigate further, the ceiling collapsed, and a tall, armored figure descended with a golden lasso in hand.
"Diana…" Barbara hissed, her voice a mix of frustration and resignation, "You came after all!"
