Chapter 677: Consulting
"And that is what happened," Rain said while he was having breakfast with his family. "I want to return eventually to get some more relics, but maybe that is impossible."
"The demi-humans won't become allies, I guess… for now at least," Seara said.
"Considering how prideful they are as the only species that defeated the dragons in a certain way, I doubt that they will change their minds," Terra shrugged. "They will face annihilation before that happens."
"At least there are some people there that we can trust, so it is better than nothing," Rain said. "Isa is old and knowledgeable, so her help will be handy."
"Don't call a woman old," Seara raised her left eyebrow.
"What are the plans now?" Terra asked.
"There are the techniques that I want to learn, but we should also study how these relics work and try to understand how they are produced," Rain said. "You two can keep these with you, I will give some of the items I got to Lotto for him to study and I will do the same with a few others."
Seara received the blue pendant, and since she used her mana to strengthen Rain's mana reserves, it was perfect for her. And wish the red pendant, Terra would become more durable as well in case something happens.
"I think that we should do other things to increase the fighting power of our group as a while," Seara said. "You can learn those techniques fast, but the warriors of the raging Phoenix need a lot more time to master and some of them can't even learn it."
"... I don't think that this is possible, but maybe we should focus on making everyone unlock the high human path, that should increase their possibilities quite a bit and increase their potential," Rain said. "By the way, how are your progress in that aspect?"
"I am almost there, around ninety percent of the skills have been mastered," Seara said.
"Eighty percent for me," Terra added.
That wasn't half bad… things were a bit more difficult for them since they used more support skills and couldn't use those skills in combat to gain even more experience. In a year or two, they will unlock the evolved path. Rain honestly thought that his wives were already tens out of ten, but it would be nice to see them glow up.
On that day, Rain tried to come up with a routine for the warriors to follow in their spare time in order to become High Humans. Still, it didn't matter how much Rain thought of it, it would take years for them to reach that level… that was a progress for the sake of the future and not the next few months.
"I guess it is better than nothing," Rain thought. "What else can they do to become stronger?"
Rain wondered about various ways to bolster the strength of his warriors and improve their chances against the dragons. The ideas ranged from intensive training regimens to researching and crafting advanced weaponry. However, he realized that implementing these strategies would require a significant investment of time and effort.

Time was a luxury they didn't have in abundance when facing the looming dragon threat.
As he weighed the options, Rain acknowledged that their best course of action was to wait for Lotto to successfully mass-produce the dragon-slaying weapons. These specialized weapons had the potential to level the playing field by exploiting the dragons' weaknesses. The hope was that, over time, they would acquire the dragon-slaying effects that could turn the tide in their favor.
It was a gamble, but it was the most practical and feasible plan in the face of their impending conflict with the dragons. Rain understood that patience and perseverance would be their allies, and they would have to rely on their collective efforts to weather the challenges ahead.
"There is one thing that can make all of us stronger," Rain rubbed his chin thoughtfully. "Still, even I haven't unlocked that path yet."
Rain recalled when he used sound magic to boost the strength of the warriors… that technique should be from a pretty advanced path, but there should be lower level paths that should have similar effects.
"I need to consult Isa about this… she has access to human and dragon path… she should know what are the paths necessary to unlock something like the bard path," Rain thought. "Once that path is unlocked, I can select those who have skills to play instruments and made them boost several groups with their magic."
As far as Rain knew, sound magic could buff as many people as possible, one just had to have a stupid amount of mana. It will take a bit of time, but the benefits will be out there. The Raging Phoenix strength was their resilience and the fact that they all could be quite tough, but Rain now had to diversify their characteristics a bit since the most difficult enemies now are dragons.
In the end, Rain waited until sunset to try to use the magic radio again, but it took a while for Isa to pick it for some reason. Thanks to that, Seara and Terra had time to finish their business and decide to listen to their conversation.
"Sorry, for bothering you so soon," Rain said. "I just needed to consult you with a few things."
"What is it?" Isa asked.
Rain thought that he should introduce his wives, but they probably didn't want that since the path of the conversation would change… they wanted to see them talking without Isa knowing that they were there. Rain wondered what he had to make his wives so suspicious of him, but nothing came to mind.
"I was wondering if you know the right paths to unlock the bard path," Rain said. "I am thinking that using a bunch of them to increase the power of my warriors would increase our strength considerably in a short period of time."
