Chapter 126: Becoming the 73rd Demon King of HELL
"As soon as you feel something alien invade the core of your being, you must remain calm and not freak out," Hellion warned, beads of cold sweat rolling down her face. "If you try to push away this foreign energy, then both of us will suffer the consequences. And those consequences will be disastrous."
Cassius didn't say a single word, but she could understand his compliance.
"Then let us begin," she announced.
OOOM!
An overpowering demonic energy erupted from Hellion's voluptuous figure. It rolled out in immensely powerful waves, with every new wave becoming greater in intensity. Yet, after a few seconds of the energy building up to a sufficient degree, it all dipped down and lunged into the body of a lone human.
Cassius was immediately overwhelmed by this foreign energy. He felt it dig into his skin and bones, tearing away at all of his outer defenses. Instinctively, he knew he had to ward off this energy, yet resisted everything yelling at him to do just that.
This was not the time to falter.
A few seconds later...
All of the demonic energy had been transfused with Hellion's demonic essence and converged inside Cassius's body. It then assimilated with his Demon King Bloodline, improving upon what was already there. Though the pain and urges were extremely persuasive toward that end, he still didn't relent.
OOOoom…
The demonic energies finally subsided, with Hellion left looking far less lively. Her complexion was pale, and her expression haggard. It was quite obvious that this demonic essence transfer had taken more than a little toll on her.
However, from this lengthy process, Cassius emerged a new person. His previously Egyptian appearance had taken on a more demonic image, with obsidian black spiraling horns protruding from atop his head. Moreover, his canine teeth had grown sharper, his striking blue eyes took on a reddish hue, and a slick tail stuck out from his tailbone.
He still retained his overall demonic visage, yet now had a very evil and cunning way about him.

Cassius felt wave after wave of power wash over his existence, successfully improving his stats by another few notches. He also took the time to look over his 'A++ Riddler' item and the 'Fiendish Demon King Arts Manual' item. The former was a deck of cards, with the entire set forming some kind of voodoo fortune-teller setup. If he could get someone to agree to play, he could slightly alter the strings of Fate to a minor degree and make happen what the cards say would happen.
The latter item, however, was a Technique Manual. It was oddly similar to the Immortal Cultivation Techniques, yet it instead leaned more toward the demonic side of things. It could also be termed a 'Fiendish Cultivation Technique,' which was the yin to the yang of the 'Immortal Cultivation Technique.'
Cassius was curious to see if he could cultivate this technique in conjunction with his Fundamental Body Refinement Manual. And he had a keen intuition telling him that it was possible.
However, that would have to wait until later, as right now, a certain Sphinx was staring into the back of his head with immense curiosity.
First, it was the sudden acquisition of a full Oracle Sphinx's Bloodline, and now there were multiple surges of power occurring within Cassius's body. Hellion truly had no idea what was going on anymore.
With her vision blurring due to exhaustion, she managed to get out the most important question:
"…I can assume the demonic essence transfusion was a success…? Your bloodline…"
Cassius nodded. "I have become a Demon King—the 73rd Demon King, to be exact."
Surprise lit up Hellion's beautiful face, yet her nerves quickly relaxed a second later. She had already become somewhat accustomed to the innumerable surprises this man brought with him.
"Still, to become a Demon King… You should know that more than just Andromalius will take notice of your existence," Hellion cautioned. "And though the number of interested Demon Kings may be few for now, when the others learn of your existence—especially if you plan to keep on conquering HELL—your future will dim till bleakness. Like a dying star, your light will fade until nothing remains."
Cassius pondered, then responded with a question. "These Demon Kings; just how strong are they?"
Hellion looked off into the distance as if reminiscing of a time long gone.
"The strongest of the Demon Kings—Lucifer, Beelzebub, and Astaroth—are mighty demonic beings that could wipe out an entire dimension if they so willed it. Their strength is at a level beyond your wildest imaginations. Though, you will not need to worry about them for the time being."
"However, even the weakest and lowliest of the Demon Kings exceed the limit of what you can manage. The SS-Rank—the rank that supersedes the S-Rank—is the beginning for them. For this reason, I tell you that if you step foot into that Gate, you will be hunted and killed before you can become stronger through your mysterious means."
Cassius peered into the illusions of HELL shown within the Gate to HELL. He could feel several incredibly powerful presences pressing down on him.
'They seem to be unable to pass through that Gate, and they also appear to be hiding in wait. If I ignore Hellion's warnings, then what she says will happen could very well occur…'
