Bang!
The sound of the door being kicked open echoed through the room.
A few seconds later, Sakura rushed in. But this wasn't the Sakura everyone knew. This was a grown-up version of her—a high school-aged Sakura, radiating a mature aura.
"Akira-nii!" she cried out, her voice trembling with emotion. "It's been ten years… I finally get to see you again!"
Without waiting for Akira's response, Sakura threw herself into his arms, her tears soaking his shirt.
But this wasn't the only strange occurrence. Across the battlefield, almost every Servant and Master was affected by the sudden influx of memories.
Saber and Lancer both clutched their heads in pain as memories of a future timeline flooded their minds.
"Lancer… you're Diarmuid Ua Duibhne, the chief warrior of the Knights of Fianna, aren't you?" Saber said, her voice tense. She immediately took a defensive stance, wary of Lancer's cursed spear.
Lancer, on the other hand, turned to his Master, Kayneth, with a grim expression. "So… even as a Servant, I can't escape the curse of my love spot," he muttered, recalling how his charm had caused chaos in the future timeline.
Kayneth and his fiancée, Sola-Ui, were also affected. They collapsed to their knees, overwhelmed by the memories of betrayal and tragedy.
"Sola… I…" Kayneth hesitated, his trust in his fiancée shattered by the visions of her future betrayal.
Meanwhile, Kiritsugu Emiya was on the verge of a breakdown. "No… this can't be true! Even the Holy Grail can't grant my wish?!" he shouted, clutching his sniper rifle tightly.
In the Tohsaka mansion, Tokiomi Tohsaka was equally shaken. The memories of his death at the hands of his own disciple, Kirei Kotomine, and the betrayal of Gilgamesh left him pale and trembling.
"According to these memories… if the Holy Grail War continues, this will be my fate," Tokiomi muttered. He glanced at the Command Seals on his hand, contemplating using them to preemptively strike against Gilgamesh.
But before he could act, a sharp pain shot through his hand.
"The contract… it's been severed?" Tokiomi's face turned ashen as he realized what had happened.
On the Vimana, Gilgamesh smirked, holding a strange dagger in his hand. "This dagger, a prototype of Medea's Noble Phantasm, can sever any contract," he said arrogantly. "Now, Tokiomi, you're no longer my Master. I think it's time I had a little chat with my new 'partner.'"
Kirei Kotomine, meanwhile, was laughing maniacally in the darkness. "So this is who I truly am… a man who finds joy in the suffering of others," he said, his voice filled with twisted delight. "This time, I won't let any regrets remain. I'll savor every moment of despair—starting with Tokiomi and my father!"
Back in Akira's room, Sakura clung to him tightly, her tears flowing freely. "Akira-nii, where have you been all these years?" she asked, her voice trembling.
Akira sighed, gently patting her head. "If I had to guess… I was probably expelled from this world," he said.
[Ding!]
[Host, if you fail to resist the World's Will, you will be expelled from the world.]
[The memories Sakura possesses are from a timeline where you were expelled, and time continued to flow without you.]
As Akira processed this information, Sakura continued to sob. "Akira-nii, you promised me a home… but you disappeared! You have to make it up to me!"
Before Akira could respond, the door was slammed open again.
"Akira-nii!" a high-pitched voice shouted.
It was Illya, but not the Illya they knew. This was a grown-up version of her, her silver hair shimmering under the light.
"Akira-nii! After you disappeared, Mama still died! We have to save her!" Illya cried, her eyes filled with desperation.
But as she stepped into the room, she froze. Her eyes widened as she saw Sakura clinging to Akira, her face flushed with tears.
"Sakura! You thief!" Illya shouted, her voice filled with anger. "Get your hands off my Papa!"
Sakura, however, simply smirked. "Oh, Illya… you're just jealous because you don't have a Papa like mine," she said, her tone dripping with sarcasm.
Illya's face turned red with rage. "You… you're asking for it! Berserker! Separate Sakura from my Papa!"
A shadowy figure materialized behind Illya, its massive form radiating an overwhelming aura.
But Sakura wasn't about to back down. "Rider! Stop them!" she commanded, summoning her own Servant.
The two Servants clashed, their powers shaking the room.
[Ding!]
[Host, the World's Will has sent fragments of future Servants to maintain the balance of the timeline.]
[These Servants are only fragments of their true selves, possessing their power but not their consciousness.]
Akira watched the chaos unfold, a wry smile on his face. "So… I have to deal with a battle between Sakura and Illya over me? This is going to be interesting."
As the two girls continued to argue and their Servants fought, Akira couldn't help but feel a sense of déjà vu.
"Well… at least they're both alive and well," he muttered, bracing himself for the storm to come.
