Chapter 5: Ch.5 War or A Massacre
Bingwen called all the necessary manpower as they picked up their sabers and started to prepare for the imminent war.
Each inner disciple led a team of 100, and with the number of teams being 100, a mighty army of ten thousand was created.
Although it was tiny compared to the army of a hundred thousand they were about to face, they had no fear in their eyes.
After all, how could mere mortals be a threat to them, although most of them were only in the Qi Period- Root Awakening stage they still had the pride of a mighty cultivator.
Bingwen stood at the back of the army looking at the information in front of him with unserious eyes.
"So, this so-called martial god has come to die."
He sneered as he threw the information paper on the floor.
"Yes, young master. How can mere ants dare challenge yours and masters might."
The inner disciple who delivered the news flattered him with a smile, hearing this Bingwen also grinned.
Although he was indifferent in his heart, he had to show his master some flaws. After all, if he acted too perfect, his master may kill him out of fear.
"Hmm."
After that, he rubbed his chin as various thoughts flashed through his mind, although this army can help his cultivation most of the resources will be eaten by his master.
So he needs to find a way to increase the amount of resources to make blood pills. Suddenly he looked at the direction of the slaves and an idea came to his mind.
Walking toward the outer disciple he called him.
"Yes, young master."
The outer kneeled in front of him as he waited for his command, this was one of his trusted men.
"Go secretly release the news to the slaves that the martial god has come to save them."
He said meaningfully as he walked toward the leading inner disciples.
"Yes, master."
The outer disciple nodded as he moved toward the inner part of the mountain toward the opening of the cave.
"Go kill those insignificant ants."
Commanded Bingwen as he saw the retreating figure of his confidant.
With his words, the outer and inner disciples rushed as the war finally began.
At near the foot of the mountain seeing their enemies rushing they weren't also the one to back down.
So in an army formation, they marched forward with thunderous roars.
"For the empire!!!!!!"
Jiayi Bi roared as the army behind him followed his words.
The two parties clashed as a clear difference in personal strength was quickly shown. A single outer disciple could fight against three or four ordinary soldiers.
But they weren't the bigger problem, the main problem was the inner disciple that could take on a general and hundreds of soldiers.
Just seeing this some of the soldiers' morale started to collapse, feeling the bad situation just at the beginning of the war Jiayi Bi quickly stepped up.
Moving like a human bullet he entered the front line, with each swing of his spear the winds roared as heads fell.
In just a few moments he alone took down tens of inner disciples. Seeing this the remaining inner disciples became serious as twenty of them surrounded him and a stalemate started.
Although he couldn't change his position his quick action quickly balanced the situation. Even when facing a joint attack from twenty inner disciples he didn't use his full strength.
After all, he had to preserve his strength to fight against the mastermind of this incident.
Bingwen watched this from afar and smiled waiting for the slaves to take action. After all, even if wants to kill them he needs a reason for that.
Inside the caves, a wave had been stirred as the news that the martial god had come to save them spread.
"Let's run away from here."
"Yes.. we are saved."
"let's go toward the army so they can save us easily."
"Yes, yes otherwise these demons may kill us."
Such voices started to spread among the slaves, some wanted to oppose but against the general trend of the masses, they were unable to say anything.
As for the reaction of the crowd, it had nothing to do with him as he continued to mine, if the army could defeat the evil cultivator he would be saved nonetheless.
But if he went out like what these people wanted and the army lost, well continuing to be slaves will be the best option then.
So the masses started to gather, some who had a good impression of him called him but he rejected them politely.
Seeing this a crooked-nosed muscular man snorted with disdain at him.
"Weak shit must have sided with those demons."
The man shouted as he entered the crowd, hearing his shout others looked at Yucheng with less favorable eyes.
Yucheng ignored them as he continued to mine, as for that crooked-nosed man, well he was someone who was beaten up by him at some point.
Since then he had always hated and opposed Yucheng.
"Hope the army wins."
Yucheng muttered as he looked at the retreating figures of the other slaves.
The slaves stormed out of the caves in drove as they ran toward the frontlines. Seeing this Bingwen's smile got bigger and bigger.
Looking at the fresh food delivered to him he couldn't help but salivate. For him, things that could elevate his cultivation are more attractive than any beauty.
He is even willing to sleep with a man if it means that he can progress his cultivation. He can be said to be a shining beacon of a model evil cultivator.
Not knowing his thoughts the slaves ran toward the position of the army.
Seeing that their empire citizens were safe didn't fill Jiayi's heart with joy and relief but a feeling of dread crept in.
He could feel the cold breath of death for some reason and this tensed his nerves to the extreme.
