The man in the robe barked an order, making the woman glance at the throne.
“I’m Tanaka Nana ~! Like, what even is this? Isn’t this way overboard for a prank?”
“Silence! You’re next!”
The next person indicated by the scepter was a timid-looking woman. She placed her hands on her knees, bowed deeply, and her glossy black hair shimmered in the light.
“My name is… Nonomura Mai…”
She said nothing more. When she raised her head, she nervously looked around.
Finally, it was my turn to introduce myself. I answered, Kisaragi Sora, and after that,
“…Is this heaven?”
When I asked that, the king burst into laughter.
“Do you claim this looks like heaven? This castle was designed by the legendary architect Querta, and the ceiling murals were painted by Alhamque. It’s no wonder you might think it’s heaven!”

At least, it seemed this wasn’t heaven. So I didn’t die after being hit by that truck…?

Before I knew it, men in gray outfits adorned with gold buttons had appeared. Unlike the king or the man in the robe, they treated us courteously.
“Could you please open your status screens?”

The voices of a gal and a flashy guy overlapped in confusion, while the remaining three of us just stared blankly.
