Chapter 52: Leaders Summit - 2

The day of the much-anticipated summit had finally arrived. Across the vast world, tensions had been building, as the leaders of the three factions—angels, devils, and fallen angels—prepared to meet and discuss their future.

In the midst of this, Issei and his companions were unaware of the full scope of what was about to unfold, but a select few knew just how significant this meeting would be.

In the air, Vali Lucifer flying in front of kuoh academy with Orphis, the mysterious girl, seated on one of the buildings. Vali, as always, exuded an air of confidence, his white dragon wings reflecting faint light.

"So, the summit is finally happening," Vali said, his voice calm but edged with anticipation. He turned to face Orphis, whose expression was unreadable, as usual.

"Indeed," Orphis replied, her voice as distant as ever. She had been a key player in many of the events surrounding the factions, though her true motives remained shrouded in mystery. "The meeting will set the stage for the next phase of the ongoing conflict. There are many pieces moving, but only a few truly understand the significance of what's at stake."

Vali smirked, crossing his arms. "I wonder how the devils, angels, and fallen angels will react when they realize how much of their control they've lost. Not that it matters to me," he added, his voice laced with a hint of disdain. "I have my own goals."

Orphis studied him silently for a moment, her purple eyes gleaming with subtle amusement. "And what would those goals be, Vali Lucifer?" she asked, her tone still detached, yet with an undercurrent of curiosity.

Vali's grin widened. "To dethrone the system they've all created, to rewrite the rules. The factions have grown weak, too complacent. I have my own path to walk—one that doesn't involve serving any of the old gods or powers."

Orphis said nothing at first, merely observing him. "And what of Raizel? He plays a much more prominent role in this than you seem to acknowledge."

At the mention of Raizel, Vali's grin faltered for a brief moment. The one person who had the power to disrupt his plans. Vali had watched from the shadows as Raizel's influence grew, and he knew that the Noblesse was no ordinary force. He was not just another player in the game. Raizel was a wildcard that could tip the balance of power in any direction.

"Raizel?" Vali scoffed, though there was a flicker of wariness in his eyes. "He's an enigma. I've never been one to follow others, but there's something about him that even I can't ignore. We'll see who comes out on top in the end."

Orphis tilted her head slightly, her expression unreadable. "The summit will reveal much, Vali. But remember, sometimes the most unexpected outcomes occur when you least expect them."

Vali's smile returned, though this time it was more thoughtful than before. "Perhaps. But I have no intention of interfering in anyone else business, i just want to fight strong enemies."

Orphis stepped away from him, her presence suddenly becoming even more mysterious, like a shadow blending into the surrounding darkness. "The future is not in anyone's hands alone," she murmured cryptically. "Remember that, Vali."

With that, she disappeared into the shadows, leaving Vali alone. He knew that whatever happened at the summit, his plans were already in motion.

The time for subtlety was over. Soon, the world would see just how far he was willing to go to rewrite the balance of power.

The air in the grand hall of the meeting room was thick with anticipation as the leaders and their representatives from the three factions filed into the room. Each group had its own agenda, but one thing was clear—this summit was going to determine the future of the supernatural world.

Rias, Akeno, Issei, Koneko, Kiba, and Xenovia entered the hall together, their presence commanding attention as they walked with purpose.

However, as they took their seats and began to get settled, their eyes were drawn to the sight of Raizel standing beside Azazel, the leader of the fallen angels. His composed and powerful presence was enough to draw stares from everyone present.

Issei's eyes immediately locked onto Vali, who stood nearby, his piercing gaze matching the intensity of the room. Issei could feel the unease in the air, his rivalry with Vali making the atmosphere tense. But the tension didn't stop there.

Xenovia's attention was drawn to Irina, who stood at the side, her eyes meeting Xenovia's in an unspoken exchange that made Xenovia visibly flinch. The distance between them was palpable, their pasts influencing the present.

As Sirzechs, the leader of the devils, stood at the front of the room to begin the summit, he greeted everyone warmly. His smile was reassuring, but his eyes hinted at the seriousness of the matter at hand.

"It's an honor to have all of you here today. This summit has been long in the making," Sirzechs said, his voice carrying authority and respect. "We are here to address the growing tensions among our factions and to discuss the future of the balance in our world."

Rias and Akeno exchanged glances before settling into their seats. It was clear that the situation was not going to be as simple as it first appeared.

There were too many hidden agendas, too many unspoken words between the leaders.

Sona and Tsubaki entered shortly after, with Sona stepping forward to address the room. As she spoke, explaining the concerns of the angels and fallen angels about the current state of affairs, Serafall couldn't help but praise her sister's composure.

"Well said, Sona! I'm proud of you!" Serafall exclaimed, her enthusiasm as unmistakable as always. She beamed with pride at her younger sister before turning to face the rest of the room.

"We're all here today to discuss our agendas and our plans for the future," Sirzechs began, his tone shifting as he got down to business.

"There's a lot to cover, and each of you has a stake in what happens next. The peace we've known may soon be threatened if we don't take action. Each faction has its own interests, and we must work together to resolve the issues before us."

Raizel, still standing beside Azazel, observed the room with a sharp eye. The tension in the air was palpable as different factions—devils, fallen angels, angels, and even the independent figures like Raizel—stood in the same room, each of them with their own agendas.

Azazel, standing beside Raizel, spoke in a low voice, though his words were not meant to be heard by the others. "The balance between us all is fragile. One wrong move and everything could come crashing down. But you, Raizel, you're a wildcard in this game. Let's see how you handle this."

Raizel gave Azazel a brief nod, his expression as unreadable as ever. He wasn't here to pick sides; his goal had always been to ensure that peace remained a possibility. But the more he observed, the more he realized how much was at stake.

As each representative spoke about their concerns—whether it was about territory, security, or the looming threat of conflict—the room remained tense, and the unspoken rivalry between factions grew ever more apparent.

Akeno, Koneko, Kiba, and Xenovia sat beside Rias, each of them listening intently. Even though they had grown accustomed to the supernatural world's chaos, this summit felt like it could change everything.

But it wasn't just the other leaders they had to worry about. It was the quiet, calculating presence of Raizel. His alliance with Azazel was something that no one fully understood.

No one knew just how much influence Raizel had, nor how far he was willing to go to ensure the outcome that favored his ideals.

"I trust we can all find a way to address our differences," Sirzechs said, his voice filled with authority. "We must do this carefully, with diplomacy and precision. Otherwise, the consequences could be catastrophic."

Vali, standing at the back of the room, chuckled quietly to himself. He didn't trust anyone in the room, but Raizel's presence intrigued him. 'This summit will be interesting,' he thought. 'I'll make sure to play my cards at the right moment. For now, let the others speak.'

The room fell silent as the various leaders and representatives began to present their plans, each one laying out the agenda for the coming weeks. As the hours passed, Raizel couldn't help but feel the weight of the decisions that were being made.

This was just the beginning. The real challenge would come when everyone would have to decide where they stood. Would they truly be able to put aside their differences for the greater good? Or would the factions clash, once again, sending the world into chaos?

Only time would tell.
