I, the Ruthless Villain, Strangled My Fiancée at the Beginning and Left the Protagonists Terrified

Chapter 20:

Chapter 20: Sudden Medical Disturbance:

When they arrived at the hospital, Shen Wuxiao had already made all the necessary arrangements. Lin Fan was immediately sent in to have the bullet removed and his wound stitched up.

Due to Lin Fan’s special circumstances, and to maintain confidentiality, no large operation was performed. Instead, he was placed in a private treatment room with only one doctor assigned to handle everything.

Shen Wuxiao had complete control over the hospital. A single phone call to the hospital director was enough to make the man personally come over and polish Shen Wuxiao’s shoes—figuratively, of course. Making arrangements and clearing the area was as easy as sprinkling water.

Naturally, the medical staff attending to Lin Fan were all informed in advance and were told to be extra careful.

Meanwhile, Shen Wuxiao sat calmly in a chair outside the medical room, waiting.

Suddenly, two sharp-eyed men walked over and stopped beside him.

“Go find someone, grab a bucket of Aoli Gei, then bring two reliable people here to cause a medical disturbance,” Shen Wuxiao ordered quietly. “Target this room. Pretend you’re here to attack the doctor, but make sure it hits the patient.”

The two nodded and quickly left to carry out the plan.

Shen Wuxiao grinned and pulled out a cigarette, lighting it leisurely. Just thinking about Lin Fan being splashed with water made him want to laugh.

As he was enjoying the thought, a middle-aged nurse approached him with a stern face.

“You can’t smoke here. Go to the stairwell if you want to smoke!”

Clearly, she was the no-nonsense type.

Shen Wuxiao glanced at her coldly and snapped, “I don’t smoke? But I’m holding a cigarette. So I am smoking. Problem?”

As he spoke, he moved his hands threateningly, as if ready to lash out.

The nurse was startled and quickly backed off. “I didn’t mean it like that… smoking is fine…”

She turned and ran away.

She had only been looking for someone to vent her frustration on after being scolded by a patient earlier. Unfortunately, she had picked the wrong target.

Shen Wuxiao couldn’t be bothered with someone like her. He had never followed rules and didn’t plan to start now. His attitude was simple: I have no manners—and you don’t get to say anything about it.

After about ten minutes, he received a message—everything was ready.

Shen Wuxiao stood and strolled toward the medical room.

Inside, Lin Fan was lying on the operating bed, anesthetized and unable to move. The injection had been given in his abdomen, numbing his lower body.

At first, Lin Fan had wanted to refuse the anesthesia. He was always cautious, and for a martial artist, anesthetics could be dangerous. But then he thought, This is the city, not a battlefield. There was no need to be overly suspicious.

So he agreed.

However, he hadn’t expected the dosage to be so strong—it had completely paralyzed his lower body.

Still, it wasn’t a serious problem.

Shen Wuxiao entered the room, walked to Lin Fan’s side, and glanced at the doctor, who was carefully operating. He lowered his voice.

“Brother Lin Fan, just focus on the treatment. I’ll go grab us some late-night snacks.”

“When the operation’s done, you can eat and rest. The ward’s already set up.”

Lin Fan nodded. “Thanks for everything, Brother Sikong.”

He truly felt that since they were becoming friends, there was no need for excessive politeness. That would only make things feel distant. Instead, he kept the gratitude in his heart.

In this unfamiliar city, it felt surprisingly comforting to have someone looking out for him.

Of course, Shen Wuxiao was only using the snack excuse to leave.

He couldn’t afford to be present when his hired troublemakers arrived. If he tried to stop them and got splashed himself, that would be a disaster. But if he didn’t stop them, it would ruin his “good friend” image.

So the best move was to disappear before it happened.

With that, Shen Wuxiao casually walked out of the hospital, pretending to be on a food run, while in truth, he found a good hiding spot to watch the chaos unfold.

About five minutes later, two people appeared at the elevator.

One was a rough-looking woman, her expression sharp and shrewish. The other was a tattoo-covered man in a short-sleeved shirt, clearly the type who didn’t care about rules or consequences.

The perfect duo for causing trouble—mother and son, putting on a show.

Most importantly, the woman carried a bucket with a piece of cardboard covering it.

It didn’t take much imagination to guess what was inside—likely some foul-smelling concoction meant to embarrass and humiliate.

The pair charged straight toward the medical room.

BANG!

They kicked the door open with force.

The woman was the first to shout, “Doctor Zhang! You better give me an explanation today!”

“That’s right! If not, we’ll see you in court!” the tattooed man barked.

Doctor Zhang paused mid-procedure, clearly furious at the interruption. But faced with their aggression, he froze in confusion.

“What’s going on?” he asked, stunned.

The ruckus quickly drew attention. Even though it was late, many people were still in the hospital—family members of patients, doctors, and nurses on night shift.

“What’s going on?” the woman repeated loudly. “What do you think is going on?”

She turned to the crowd and began her dramatic performance.

“Everyone, look at this heartless quack! My poor grandson came in just for a minor procedure—and this butcher cut off the whole thing!”

“This damned doctor even had the nerve to blame it on him being too small!”

“Give me back my money! This is Geneva! Human rights violation!”

Onlookers gasped, whispering among themselves.

Lin Fan, lying there, was speechless.

Seriously? A medical disturbance? While I’m having surgery?

Doctor Zhang had just removed the bullet and was halfway through stitching the wound. Now, he didn’t know whether to keep going or respond to the chaos.

The whole thing made no sense.

Doctor Zhang, utterly bewildered, tried to defend himself.

“What are you talking about? I’m not even the one who performs that kind of surgery!”

He turned to the crowd, visibly frustrated.

“I swear, they’re slandering me! This is defamation! Slander!”

He pointed at the two troublemakers. “They’re making this up! I’ve never treated their family—I don’t even know who they are!”

But the shrew and her tattooed son continued their wild accusations, stirring up the crowd. Shen Wuxiao, watching from a corner, could barely hold back his laughter. His plan had worked perfectly.

“The evidence is right here! Why are you still making excuses? You’d better give us a proper explanation today, or I’ll see you in court!”

The tattooed man grew more aggressive, his tone full of menace.

Without warning, the fierce woman lunged forward and grabbed Doctor Zhang by the collar.

In the process, her shove knocked the doctor’s hand mid-suture. Startled, Doctor Zhang couldn’t let go of the needle in time, and with that forceful jolt—snap!—the suture thread broke.

Lin Fan watched helplessly as his freshly stitched wound burst open, and blood began to flow again.

“Damn it!” he muttered.

Although he was under anesthesia, he was a top-level martial artist. His senses were still sharp, and he retained some mobility, though not at full strength.

He was just about to get up when the situation escalated further—the doctor and the shrew were now entangled in a brawl, and both stumbled and fell onto Lin Fan!

In their frenzy, they thrashed around, yanking at each other’s hair and hitting whatever was within reach—including Lin Fan!

“Damn it again!” Lin Fan cursed, gritting his teeth.

Doctor Zhang was already livid, and the shrew, who had been faking her emotions up until now, suddenly found herself pushed hard to the ground.

Never missing an opportunity, she began to wail dramatically, flailing her arms and legs. “Oh heavens! Oh my dear Sarilang! Doctor Sarilang!” she cried.

“Dear husband, please return from the afterlife and see how these heartless people are bullying your poor widow and child!”

The act was so over the top that even the bystanders were stunned.

Upon hearing this, the tattooed man’s expression twisted with rage. “What? You dare lay a hand on my mother?!”

He charged at Doctor Zhang like a madman and the two men began grappling right on top of Lin Fan again.

Meanwhile, the shrew had already gotten back on her feet.

She seized the moment, grabbed the bucket she had brought, and ripped the cardboard cover off the top.

The crowd outside gasped. Their expressions turned green as they realized what was inside.

This… this is a spiritual attack!

Those who had come to watch the scene unfold instinctively took several steps back, gagging and shielding their faces.

The shrew raised the bucket high with one hand while supporting its base with the other. Her voice shrieked through the corridor.

“I swear on my ancestors—I will destroy your entire family, you butcher of a doctor!”

With a grunt of effort, she hurled the contents of the bucket forward.

Splash!

It was a massive bucket.

Unfortunately, the shrew had overestimated her strength. Instead of hitting the doctor, the entire vile concoction flew sideways—landing squarely on Lin Fan.

Soaked.

From head to toe.

Lin Fan trembled uncontrollably as the cold, foul liquid seeped into every crevice of his body.

The room went still.

Utter silence fell.

Even the chaotic wrestling match between the doctor and the tattooed man froze in mid-motion. All eyes turned to the same place.

Only one figure was still moving.

That was Lin Fan—lying motionless on the small operating bed.

He was now completely unrecognizable. His entire body was covered in what looked like thick, murky sludge. He looked less like a person and more like a drenched clay statue.

“Sniff…”

His eyes were bloodshot. His mind was spinning.

Then, all at once—

“AAAHHH!!!”

Lin Fan screamed.

It was a long, furious roar that echoed through the corridors.

But just as quickly, he stopped.

His face twisted.

His stomach churned.

“Ugh… yue~~”

He gagged.
