Chapter 455: 455 Record of Ragnarok: Confrontation with the Gods, The Wrath of Odin, Adam: the Father of Mankind, Zeus: The Father of the Cosmos and The Most Dangerous Man in the World.

(Valhalla Arena)

This was a battle that would go down in history, regardless of its outcome. Humans of all ages could appear in the stands to cheer for their champion. With Lu Bu came great Chinese generals, martial artists, emperors, and empresses from China's long history. Among them, some could have taken Lu Bu's place in his battle against Thor, yet even after that conclusion, no one claimed they could have done better than Lu Bu.

"It's the harsh reality of a human facing a god," Cao Cao said, lamenting the outcome.

This pessimistic atmosphere continued until there was a unanimous silence. Some simply went along with the mood and kept quiet, while others were anticipating something.

The Arena was an enormous place, capable of housing both humans and gods, and it also provided a worthy space for battles between titans. However, there was an odd tension that appeared out of nowhere.

As several gods fixed their gaze on one of the entrances, others followed suit. This was noticed by several figures among the humans, who mimicked them.

"Footsteps?"

It was the sound of footsteps, yet it was audible in this vast space. Did it make sense? Not unless the person was doing it on purpose, and since it came from the human side, it should be one of the chosen. This audacity, as if wanting everyone's attention, was insulting, but no one expressed it.

No one dared to break the harmonious and unnatural silence that formed around the mysterious footsteps.

Slow and constant, the sound grew closer, and they seemed hypnotized by whoever was coming. When the light was sufficient in that corridor to illuminate it, three people became visible. A man and two women at his side.

"Hild-Nee, everyone's looking at us!" Goll trembled in fear, but a hand caressed her head, dispelling her fear. "Hehe~"

"Goll, keep your composure," Brunhilde sighed, giving a soft smile.

"Yes!" Goll screamed even more scared, as she was so accustomed to seeing her older sister angry that seeing her smile kindly sent chills down her spine.

Brunhilde looked at the man beside her, "Don't spoil her too much or she won't grow up to be a warrior."

"Heh, I'm sorry..."

...

"…?" Zeus's eyes seemed like an abyss, pupil-less, yet sometimes they appeared as two glowing orbs. Zeus squinted as his bright eyes fixed on the man between the two valkyries.

His hair was black, with no adornments, his eyes were a wine color, an uncommon hue for a human, but nothing out of the ordinary. His only remarkable feature was his attractiveness, which caught the attention of more than one goddess. However, aside from that, he was an ordinary man. Or was he?

What happened to the atmosphere from moments ago that disappeared the moment Allen appeared? Buddha, who had shown no interest before, now appeared among the crowd.

"This is interesting…" Zeus smiled, but even he could not recognize the man next to Brunhilde.

"Oya, Hilde-chan brought a man~… how interesting…" Despite his words, Buddha did not seem very happy about this.

But, there was one god who did not remain indifferent to Allen's appearance.

"…!!!" Odin opened his eyes, believing he had seen a ghost. He immediately controlled his emotions, not allowing them to take over. 'It's impossible for it to be him. No one could have saved him!'

"It seems you're drawing attention…" Brunhilde leaned closer to Allen to whisper, "Are you sure you want to do this?"

Allen looked into Brunhilde's eyes, the concern in every fiber of her being was palpable. This made him happy and he smiled with confidence. "Don't worry…"

No one recognized Allen simply because those who had known him in the past had an image of him that was too different. The current Allen resembled Siegfried in face and voice, but aside from that, he was like a different person. Apart from Brunhild, no one would recognize him immediately. Odin would not take long to realize the truth, but for the rest, Allen would be, at best, similar to Siegfried's lost brother.

'That's right, Odin…' Allen turned his gaze to the Nordic god. 'What's wrong, imposter? Did you think you could stop me?!'

'You!!' Odin began to release a great murderous intent. But he did nothing to give away Allen's identity, he cannot. If he revealed Allen's identity, it could provoke all the gods to attack him. However, "Siegfried" knew Odin's greatest secret, and if he revealed it, he might be the one who would end up murdered.

"That old bastard!" Brunhilde glared at Odin with murderous intent no less than that of the Supreme God for Allen. Now that he was free, she no longer needed to maintain appearances.

"Brunhilde..." Allen took Brunhilde's hand discreetly reminding her of what she should do.

Brunhilde froze. It was true; she had deceived everyone with Ragnarok. Telling humanity that it had all been a plan to free Allen would be too ruthless. After thinking it over, Allen decided that Brunhilde had to take responsibility for her words. Even if she didn't start this Ragnarok just to give humanity a chance to survive, she had to go ahead and fulfill it.

Allen briefly glanced at Zeus, who returned his gaze. "Besides, I think humanity deserves to be able to show its face if they are challenged in this one-sided way."

"Then I must go~," said Brunhilde, grabbing Allen's attention. He nodded, and she went to join the gods to speak with them.

...

Ares, who was dressed like a Spartan, large and muscular but lacking the intimidation other versions of this god possessed, threw his wine cup to the ground after hearing Brunhilde's words.

"What do you mean you don't have your list yet?!"

"There was little availability with some of the fighters, so nearly half of them couldn't participate. I ask for your understanding…"

Hermes, who had the appearance of a butler due to his slim and elegant physique, stood out with his modern attire, in contrast to Zeus and Ares.

"Aren't you a bit too arrogant, valkyrie?" Hermes's face twisted as he looked at her maliciously. "Do you think you're special just because you represent the human side?! Huh?!"

Brunhilde remained completely unmoved as she watched Hermes lose control.

"…?" Zeus opened his eyes in surprise. 'She's not pretending to be brave...there's not even a trace of fear in her eyes...What is the reason for this change in Brunhilde, does it have to do with that human?'

"Hermes?!"

Zeus's attention returned to Ares, who helped Hermes to his feet. "What happened?!"

"I don't know, Father. Hermes suddenly collapsed right in front of me!"

Hermes's pupils were contracted and twitching uncontrollably. His face was blue, his body weak. Zeus didn't understand. He had only been distracted for a moment while looking at Brunhilde. Just an instant.

"God Zeus, I don't have all the fighters on our side ready, but the next one…"

Zeus's attention was diverted again when he heard who the next fighter would be, and an unpleasant smile appeared on his face.

"Oh, oh, oh, that's very good~"

Brunhilde turned around and left. However, Zeus noticed that she no longer bowed or used the suffix (Sama) when referring to him.

For the first time in many years, Zeus felt confused. It had been a million years since he had felt like he had lost control of the situation.

...

After reaching an agreement, Heimdal stood before everyone with a microphone in his hand.

"We deeply apologize for the wait! The second round of Ragnarok is finally about to begin!"

"Despite the sorry state of the arena, everything has returned to its original state, one could say, thanks to the gods!"

"The second fighter of humanity is called… 'The Hope of Humanity!'"

A pillar rose from the Arena's floor, and many animals appeared—elephants, tigers, lions, rabbits, giraffes, bears. The man on the pillar represented the beginning of human history.

"Who would have imagined!" Heimdal excited the crowd. "God blessed them and said: 'Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it!'"

The man on the pillar clenched his fist and fell heavily into the Arena, creating a crack.

"Who would have thought that man would ever rebel?!"

"Defining the essence of a man!"

"A man among men! He was given life, as well as the original sin, the most hated man by the gods!"

"THE FATHER OF HUMANITY, ADAM!"

...

"YEEEEEES!!!" Zeus shouted excitedly, while other gods were booing Adam.

Inside the corridor leading to the Arena, Shiva, the Hindu god of destruction and creation, smiled widely.

"Hahaha! It's been a long time since I've been this excited!!"

Shiva was about to walk to the exit, but his flaming fists of destruction stopped him.

"Tsk, I need to calm down. If I go out like this, I'll turn him to ashes in an instant!"

"Hello~"

Shiva felt a bony hand on his shoulder and looked back. It was Zeus.

"What's up, old man? You here to wish me good luck?" Shiva felt amused.

"It's my turn~," Zeus said shamelessly.

"Huh?!"

Shiva immediately became angry. How dared this degenerate old man try to steal his spot when he had already decided he would be the one in the second round?

"It's... my... turn~"

Despite his playful tone, there was a threat mixed in Zeus's words. This made Shiva furious, and he removed the old hand from his shoulder.

"If you want to fight, I'll give you the honor, old man!!"

Before Shiva could continue, Zeus's hand somehow reached him in an instant and pressed on his shoulder, making him kneel.

"It's my turn!"

Shiva was furious, but he gave in to Zeus's whim. After all, he was his superior. This had been decided during the Titanomachy, and now even Shiva had to accept it.

Zeus smiled, making a heart with his hands as a sign of gratitude for the goodwill. Hermes looked at the old man with disdain. He had seen all kinds of gods, but Zeus was by far the most shameless.

---

Allen watched Adam's arrival in silence alongside Brunhilde, who only briefly looked away from him to observe Adam. She nodded, believing that Shiva wouldn't be able to win, and then returned her attention to Allen with eyes full of affection.

"If you don't hide it at least a little, your plan will end," Allen smiled with amusement toward her.

Brunhilde blushed but quickly returned to her serious and somewhat grumpy attitude. It was very difficult for Valkyrie to pretend indifference toward Allen; she wanted to jump on him right now, but doing so would reveal everything. This plan was Brunhilde's idea; Allen simply agreed to please her, but he didn't mind stepping into the ring if it led to an all-out war at any moment.

Allen saw Brunhilde clutch her chest, forcing her heart to stop those uncontrollable love beats.

Goll, one of the few people watching her sister, had a blank stare. 'This is a mess! Hild-nee, even a monkey would know you're madly in love with Allen-Nii right now!'

Goll could only be thankful that Adam was stealing the spotlight at this moment, and no one saw her sister about to attack her boyfriend.

No, in fact, the two gods were not looking at Adam right now but at Allen. One was, of course, Odin, who never took his eyes off Allen, and the other was Buddha, who also did the same.

Allen was aware that two supreme gods were watching him, but he ignored them completely. He only focused on Brunhilde and the chat.

...

Rick – Let me see if I got this straight, you're Siegfried in this world? They locked you in the underworld for knowing things you don't remember right now. You had a Valkyrie wife or girlfriend who tricked all the gods and humans into rescuing you, but then you "awakened" all your memories and your original power, freeing yourself from that place without them noticing, and came just in time for a fight to decide whether humanity should be destroyed or saved?

[I.M.] "Yeah, Rick, that's basically it..."

(I.M = Incognito Mode)

McDragon – Dragon-slaying hero... gives me chills that you now hold that title...

Asia – I can't believe a world so sad exists, why do the gods, who should protect humanity, want to destroy it?

Hestia – It really doesn't make sense! Even if there are things you don't like about them, what right do you have to judge them if you act the same way?

Athena – The Zeus of this world has no mercy... how irritating!

Gilgamesh – In my world, the era of the gods ended before even the founding of my kingdom. The world, humanity, doesn't need gods.

The Emperor – .*He's in a very bad mood*

Kratos – I think once wasn't enough...

Thor – How unfortunate that even the Thor of this world didn't oppose before facing that human...

Aphrodite – ...what a vulgar woman.

[I.M.] "Don't worry... leave this to me..."

Allen's gaze was serious as he watched the spectacle of the gods. It was too surreal, like children with new toys, each one eager to see their fighters crush any human that appeared.

Rias – Allen, who is she to you?

Akeno – Ufufu, buchou, you shouldn't be jealous if you want a chance with him, you know what you're getting into~

Unohana – She's a very strong woman...

MJ – Well, she's a Valkyrie; she must be strong...

Unohana – Ara Ara~ I wasn't referring to that, Mary-chan~

Gwen – She's talking about what happened to Brunhilde while Allen was locked up...

Felicia – She couldn't stand not seeing him for a week, and she had to go through centuries... maybe millennia...

Many girls sighed. It was impossible to feel jealous or upset with her, even though she lied to humanity; her life was simply too tragic.

[I.M.] "I'll make it up to her."

Allen's words were not a promise but an absolute declaration of fact. He couldn't control his past, but he could control his present and future.

---

Heimdall announced again, "Now, to face the first man, we have the strongest god from India!"

"Wait... what?" Heimdal felt confused, even the sky darkened, though this time it wasn't because of Allen.

*~~~*

The music began to play, a beautiful melody. In the human audience, musicians from all eras were present, while Hermes appeared in the arena, leaving everyone breathless as he played the violin. Mozart, who was in the stands, was stunned, and Sebastian Bach, the father of music, cried as he listened to his song but interpreted it in a way that no human could.

"It's beautiful!"

...

"Damn!" In contrast, Brunhilde was filled with rage, Goll with confusion, and Allen furrowed his brow. Even though Brunhilde hadn't delivered the list of fighters, she had given a heads-up about who would fight in the next round to ensure a fair competition.

During his concert, Hermes announced that he was not the peeler, and Zeus appeared, excited by that song he used to go to war many years ago.

"That old bastard!" Brunhilde cursed, her anger rising as she saw Zeus enter the arena.

During his concert, Hermes announced that he was not the peeler, and Zeus appeared, excited by that song he used to go to war many years ago.

"Be kind to me❤️~"

The human side felt disgust, astonishment, displeasure, and a lot of confusion. The gods' side cheered.

Heimdall, being a professional presenter, didn't falter and improvised.

"In an unexpected turn of events, the one who will face the father of humanity is none other than the father of the gods!"

Zeus put his hand to his ear as if he hadn't heard properly. Heimdall, nervous, added more epicness.

"NO, THIS SUPREME BEING CARRIED OUT THE TITANOMACHY, CROWNING HIMSELF AS THE TRUE KING OF THE GODS!"

Zeus got energized and started dancing to Hermes's music. His legs inflated, becoming muscular, and his arms and torso also grew. Soon, Zeus was a three-meter giant of muscles.

"THIS MAN IS THE GOD OF GODS, THE FATHER OF THE COSMOS, ZE-"

"Enough..."

Allen's cold voice interrupted the show, and his foot landed on Zeus's face, sending him flying and leaving everyone with their mouths open.

"Zeus, we need to renegotiate the deal..."

Allen's statement left the people speechless.

"If humanity loses, it's destroyed, but if it wins, it's allowed to live for another thousand years... but this is not too comfortable for the gods, they risk nothing while humans fight for their survival..." Some gods immediately showed murderous intent, contempt, hatred, and disgust. However, soon an invisible pressure crushed their bodies, making it hard for them to breathe. "Don't interrupt me..."

"....!!!!" A chill ran down all the gods present.

Allen looked at Zeus, whose rising form was met with penetrating and dangerous eyes. "Old man, what do you think if in case the gods lose... they are eradicated as well?"

Zeus gasped upon hearing this, unable to comprehend who was standing before him.
