I have a wildlife zoo

Chapter 365: Little Snow

(Romance Daily Life)

Early morning.

Lan Li, hugging a large red panda plushie, was awakened by her biological clock. She rubbed her eyes and climbed out of bed.

After putting on a shirt, she walked to the window. The tranquil and elegant white morning light soaked the sky into a fresh light blue.

She opened the window, and immediately, a cool breeze gusted in, blowing a few yellowed leaves from the treetops into a spin as they descended.

"Achoo!"

Lan Li's arms were covered in goosebumps, and the last traces of sleepiness were blown away.

She checked her phone and saw that today was "late November", no wonder the temperature had dropped quite a bit.

The north was probably already experiencing snow, right?

Linhai wasn't entirely tropical, so it would still get a bit cold during this season.

This also led to a very odd phenomenon, where people on the streets wore either T-shirts or down jackets.

Lan Li shook the blanket, spread it out neatly, arranged the red panda plushie, and then, wearing slippers, walked past Fang Ye's bedroom door.

Was the door open because the zookeeper had awakened?

Just as she was about to greet him, she noticed Fang Ye was still sound asleep.

So the door was simply left ajar last night.

Lan Li tiptoed a couple of steps, but couldn't resist backtracking. The chance to see the zookeeper's sleeping posture was rare!

Admiring Fang Ye's face, his eyes closed in sleep curving into an arc, his lips carrying a smile, she wondered if he was dreaming of something pleasant.

Her heart raced— even asleep, the zookeeper was so handsome!

Suddenly, she noticed a subtle curve under the zookeeper's blanket. Lan Li's cheeks and ears immediately grew hot, blushing, she dared not look any longer and hurried away from the door.

First, she went to the bathroom to freshen up, applied some makeup, and then threw her clothes into the washing machine to wash.

Next, she took two basins from the kitchen, bought breakfast for two from the staff canteen, and brought it back home.

That way, when Fang Ye woke up, they could eat directly at home.

She was quite familiar with Fang Ye's breakfast habits, which usually consisted of tofu pudding or soy milk, paired with fried dough sticks or buns.

"Lalala~"

Lan Li set the breakfast on the table, humming a cheerful tune as she washed the mop and began to scrub the floor of the living room.

In the corner of the living room was a cat tree. Huahua was curled up in the third-level nest, half-opening her eyes to the noise and glancing at Lan Li.

Then, raising her butt and lowering her back, Huahua stretched her increasingly plump body after being spayed, doing a long stretch.

Jumping to the ground, she slowly walked over to Lan Li, rubbing her head against Lan Li's fair ankles.

"Meow~"

Looking into Lan Li's eyes, she seemed to be saying good morning.

"Huahua, I'm mopping the floor. Come down later," Lan Li said, squatting down, smiling as she scratched Huahua's chin and then picked her up to place her back in the cat nest.

Huahua yawned, her expression lazy. She turned over in the cat nest and continued to sleep like a chicken leg.

Lan Li finished mopping the floor, changed into a different pair of slippers at the vestibule, and walked into the side courtyard.

She attached the sprinkler head to the barrel of water and began watering the plants in the vegetable patch.

Potatoes needed to be watered more frequently, while strawberries just needed watering once a week.

As Lan Li watered the strawberries, she discovered with surprise, "Oh, it looks like a few more pots have flowers today!"

On the lush green leaves, a few sparkling droplets lingered, making them look even more vibrant and fresh.

The white petals, dotted with tiny droplets of water, appeared even more beautiful.

After watering, Lan Li bent down and approached the newly bloomed flowers, closing her eyes to inhale their subtle fragrance, her mood light and joyful.

"Hoo~Chirp~"

The Chinese bulbul preened its feathers, singing ceaselessly on the branch.

"Ah~"

Fang Ye, clad in pajamas, came downstairs while yawning.

He usually took Mondays and Tuesdays off, but recently he had been entertaining children, so his rest day was postponed to today.

Without the alarm clock, he had slept soundly and contentedly.

Now he no longer set the alarm on his days off as he had when he first came to the zoo—to get up as soon as it rang and read for a while.

Back then, he had to catch up on a lot of work, and the zoo was in desperate need of attention, with too much to manage and too few staff, meaning even tasks like feeding had to be done by him personally. Now that things were starting to get on track, he could slow down and enjoy life.

There was breakfast on the table, and the living room floor was clean, a telltale sign of Lan Li's handiwork.

Seeing the sliding glass door to the side yard open, Fang Ye stepped out into the yard and saw Lan Li with her eyes closed, blissfully smelling the strawberry flowers.

Fang Ye greeted her, "Yo, good morning!"

Lan Li jumped in surprise, then her face broke into a sweet smile, "Director, good morning!"

Standing up, she stretched her arms naturally above her head, like a swan gracefully extending its neck.

The morning light was already bright, shining on Lan Li's fair and smooth arms, casting a soft, jade-like sheen.

For a moment, Fang Ye was so captivated, with the light-vented bulbul's "chirp chirp chirrup" and the cold wind blowing in from outside all feeling faint, leaving only the beauty and vitality of the girl before him.

Lan Li felt slightly shy under Fang Ye's gaze and looked down.

There was a sweet feeling in her heart.

Fang Ye came back to his senses, suddenly inhaled, and rubbed his arms, "Wow, it's a bit cold today."

Lan Li said, "I felt a bit cold when I got up this morning too. Today is late November."

"Late November already, no wonder."

Fang Ye stroked his chin, deep in thought.

Previously for a holiday celebration pack, they received a snowmaking machine as a reward, which hadn't been used yet.

Now that the weather was getting colder, it might be a good time to create some snow for the zoo.

He then asked, "Were you just watering the plants?"

"Mhm," Lan Li responded softly.

Fang Ye said with a smile, "You're like my little conch garden fairy. When I wake up in the morning, the meal is on the table, the house is cleaned, and the plants are watered."

"Hehe," Lan Li laughed shyly, covering her mouth with her hand.

Fang Ye watched Lan Li's cheeks, resisting the urge to kiss her, "Wait for me to wash up first."

"Okay, breakfast will be ready soon. I got you soybean pudding and fried dough sticks."

After breakfast, the two snuggled on the sofa for a while.

"Director, you're teasing me!"

With her face flushed and her hair slightly messy, Lan Li panted lightly and started punching his chest with her tiny, delicate fists.

Fang Ye chuckled mischievously, "Shall we play a game...?"

"Pervert! I can tell by looking at your eyes that you're thinking of something bad!"

Huahua, from her cat bed, gazed over with half-closed eyes, portraying the epitome of indifference.

Unable to bear the sight.

She hopped out of her cat bed and went to the side yard to bask in the cool air.

After their intimate moment, they held hands and went out for a walk.

Last time, Fang Ye had suggested buying matching outfits, and now that the zoo had its own cultural creative hoodies, they naturally wore those.

They were not only perfect for couple outfits, but also served as a great way to promote the merchandise when worn outside.
