After that, the interview was cut and showed Shinobu's side. With her experience in front of the camera, she smoothly answered all of the questions the interviewer posed to her.
The crowd was especially amazed when they learned that she travelled all by herself from another country in order to pursue her dreams.
In terms of the audience's favorability, Shinobu definitely won over Dante.
"Can you tell us about your relationship with Mr. Dante? From what we've seen since the start of the competition, the two of you are very close."
"We both met during the Trainer Examination and became friends after that. Thanks to his company, I was able to acclimatize easier in this foreign country. As for our current relationship, I consider him as both my best friend and rival. There's nothing else more between us."

Inside the private room, Dante noticed how ambiguous their posture is right now.
Looking at the pretty face in front of him, he swallowed his saliva. Especially when he saw her moist lips, his breathing began to quicken.
When Shinobu saw Dante looking at her lips, the blush on her face deepened.
"D-Dan, we shouldn't-"
That was as far as she got before her mouth was blocked by Dante's.
When their lips touched, the first thing Dante noticed was how cool her lips felt. After that, he was able to taste a sweet and minty flavor. Dante took advantage of her mouth being opened to further taste her flavor.
As soon as Shinobu felt what Dante was doing, her eyes widened. She instinctively closed her mouth to prevent further progress of the intruder and drove it back to where it came from.
"Hiss!"
Dante was awoken from his trance due to the sudden pain.
"Sorr-! No, what am I saying? You definitely deserved that!"
Shinobu was panting as she complained. However, from her worried expression, one can tell how concerned she was for Dante possibly being injured.
Dante awkwardly scratched the back of his head after hearing Shinobu's somewhat angry tone. He was just about to apologize for his impulsiveness, when he noticed how Shinobu didn't step away from him even after all that happened.
"...Hey, Shinobu. Want to do it again?"
Admittedly, Dante was just trying his luck. However, when Shinobu remained silent after hearing his question, he knew his bet was correct.
He slowly approached her lips once more. This time, Shinobu tightly closed her eyes, feeling both anxious and excited for what was about to come next.
Their kiss this time was slower but no less intense compared to before.
Having learned his lesson from earlier, Dante knocked on Shinobu's lips to ask for permission before he could enter. His hands, meanwhile, further pulled Shinobu into a tighter hug.
Shinobu's body tightened after Dante's sudden movement. However, when she noticed that his hands remained a respectable distance above her ass, she became relieved.
Feeling the 'guest' knocking at her lips, Shinobu's eyelashes trembled. She hesitated for a while before allowing it entry.
Dante's tongue slowly explored the inside of her mouth, making Shinobu tremble every time it touched the side of her gums. Finally, the moment their tongues met, she felt a jolt of electricity running through her body.
Their tongues began to wrestle with one another. Their kiss became more passionate and sloppy. Shinobu felt a very pleasant and numbing sensation with each collision.
Slowly, her body began to relax as their kiss deepened. Her arms subconsciously snaked around the back of Dante's head to pull him further for a deeper kiss.
On the side, Pikachu and Accelgor who quietly watched all that transpired, looked at each other awkwardly.
"Pika?"
"Accell!"
As if coming to an agreement, the two turned back to doing their own thing. Pikachu resumed the video he was watching on Dante's phone, while Accelgor closed his eyes and meditated to prepare for the upcoming battle.
After a minute of passionate kissing, Dante and Shinobu finally separated.
Looking at the saliva that formed between them, the blush on Shinobu's face deepened.
She was panting heavily from not breathing during the whole kiss.
"So, are we considered lovers now?"
Shinobu was about to retort how idiotic his question was when she noticed how calm Dante is compared to herself. He wasn't even breathing heavily after kissing for so long!
As a teenage girl, Shinobu was also quite curious about the things between men and women. She knows from the Pokenet that a technique exists which allows one to breathe through the nose while kissing with someone.
"Tell me honestly Dan, how many girls did you kiss before me?"
"Huh?"
Now Dante was confused. From Shinobu's tone, he could feel a sense of regret and disappointment.
"Why are you asking this? Didn't I already tell you before? You're the first girl I was this close to."
"Then why do you seem so experienced? Be truthful with me, Dan, I won't get mad at you."
"Uhh, I don't know? I'm a natural, I guess."
Hearing the sincerity in Dante's words and his clueless expression, Shinobu's suspicion evaporated and she quietly breathed a sigh of relief.
This was the first time that Shinobu had a relationship with the opposite sex. Although she doesn't mind if Dante had a relationship with other girls before her, she would inevitably feel disappointed knowing she is not his first.
Just as she was about to answer his initial question, a staff member at the door knocked and informed the two of them to get ready for the match.
Unknowingly, the scene of their interview has already been finished showing to the audience.
After knowing that both Pikachu and Shelmet were obtained by both Trainers in the wilderness, there was a bit of a commotion at the scene regarding how lucky the both of them are.
On another note, the hostility of the audience towards Dante lessened a bit after learning that he came from a very common family and not some rich guy who sneaked into this competition. They still think he is arrogant, though.
Shinobu turned towards Dante. All the complicated emotions on her face from before were gone, but instead replaced with a look of determination.
"Let's talk about our relationship after the end of the competition. Shelly and I are still eager to return the beating you gave us last week."
"Accell!!" (Revenge!!)
Dante smiled back at the two of them. Shinobu did say that she would have her revenge for beating them when Shelmet evolved.
While he may like Shinobu, he's not someone who will hold back during a match just because of something like that.
"Heh, look forward to being beaten again then. Also, don't forget about our bet! After what just happened, I already know what I want you to do."
"I-I should be the one reminding you that! If I win against you, you'll be the one following my order!"
The two of them began to bicker as they walked towards the field.
