Chapter 135: Tier 2 Test Registration
A new, gleaming sword was strapped to his back. Its intricate designs were clearly meant to show off his recent success.
Around him, his usual gang of henchmen flanked him. Their smug grins were as irritating as ever.
"Well, well," Xyron's voice dripped with mockery. "If it isn't the new superstar of Enders Light. How's life treating you after clearing the Swordking Dungeon, Aleman?"
August stepped forward boldly. "I don't have time for your nonsense today, Xyron. I'm busy."
Xyron's grin widened. "Too busy to talk to your fans? That's rude. My boys and I were just wondering how it feels to be in the spotlight. All that fame must get exhausting."
"Not as exhausting as listening to you," August shot back. "Now, if you'll excuse me…"
He stepped to the side, intending to walk past them, but Xyron's henchmen quickly moved to block his path.
"Come on, Aleman," one of them sneered. "Stay and chat for a bit. We're curious."
August sighed while pinching the bridge of his nose. "You do realize we're in a green zone, right? Players can't attack each other here. Whatever you're trying to pull, I'll advise you to rethink."
"Oh, we're aware," Xyron's smirk grew. "But you see, I brought someone new with me today."
One of the henchmen dressed In a green robe with runic patterns, stepped forward while raising a hand.
Before August could react, a spell circle appeared beneath his feet, and the world around him warped. The streets of Tagharium vanished, replaced by a barren wasteland with pointy rocks and a blood-red sky.
[ System Notification: Warning! You have been teleported outside the green zone ]
August straightened his hands while instinctively moving toward the daggers at his belt. "Really?" he voiced with a look of irritation. "This is what we're doing now?"
Xyron unsheathed his massive sword, which emitted an ominous red light. "We're here to have a little chat about the Fruit of Sin. You have it, don't you?"
August tilted his head. "Even if I did, do you think I'd hand it over to you?"
Xyron chuckled while tightening his grip on his sword. "You don't have a choice, Aleman. We'll take it off your corpse if we have to."
The henchmen moved to encircle him, their weapons drawn and spells at the ready. August sighed, rolling his shoulders as he unsheathed his daggers.
"You really think this is going to end well for you?" he questioned while shaking his head. "I've gained a lot since the dungeon. It will be unwise to cross me."
"We'll see about that," Xyron growled. "Take him down!"
The henchmen charged, and August's smirk widened.
[ System Notification: Skill Activated: Shadow Dance (Level 7) ]
In an instant, his form blurred, vanishing into a series of rapid shadowy afterimages that left everyone confused.
His real form reappeared behind one of the henchmen, slicing cleanly through their defenses with a single swing. The player staggered as their health bar dropped dangerously low before they could even react.
"Too slow," August muttered, already moving to his next target.
One of the mages attempted to cast a fireball, but August activated Dash, closing the gap in a blink and slamming the hilt of his dagger into their gut. They crumpled to the ground as the spell fizzled.
"Get him!" Xyron roared while charging forward with his sword raised.
Continue your adventure with empire
August raised a hand, summoning a bolt of electricity.
[ System Notification: Skill Activated: Lightning Bolt (Level 3) ]
The bolt struck Xyron squarely in the chest, sending him flying and crashing into one of his henchmen.
[ - 7000HP ]
Xyron could barely believe his eyes as a huge chunk of his HP was sacrificed.
"You're better than I remember," Xyron's voice was strained. "But this isn't over."
"It never is with you," August replied, activating Phantom Splice.
Two ghostly versions of himself appeared, darting toward Xyron and his remaining henchmen.
The battlefield descended into chaos as August weaved through the melee. His skills and reflexes far outpaced his opponents who were also around level 30 themselves.
Within minutes, the last of Xyron's henchmen fell. Their avatars dissolved into light as they were forced to respawn back in Tagharium with one level less.
Xyron, battered and on the brink of defeat, glared at August with his health bar nearly empty. "How are you doing this, Aleman?! I promise to get you back."
August sheathed his daggers with a calm but resolute expression. "And I'll be waiting. But next time, maybe bring a challenge."
Xyron growled and rushed towards him with his sword raised.
Before he could get close, August fired a bolt of lightning at him causing him to fall to the ground with his HP completely depleted.

August exhaled, rolling his shoulders as he prepared to return to Tagharium. "Well," he muttered to himself, "that was a good warm-up. Now for the real challenge." With that, he opened his map and resumed his journey to the tier 2 qualification site.
...
...
The testing grounds for tier 2 qualifications were unlike anything August had ever seen in Enders Light.
Set in a sprawling, enchanted valley surrounded by a mountainous region, the entire area seemed alive with magic. Floating platforms hovered above shimmering lakes while glowing glyphs danced in the air.
A massive stone archway at the center bore the inscription:
"Prove Your Worth, Ascend to Greatness."
Dozens of players milled about, each exuding a mixture of confidence and nervous energy.
Conversation filled the air as players sized up the competition. Their robes and staves showcased their unique styles and allegiances.
August stepped forward to the registration desk, manned by a stoic NPC mage clad in flowing robes as a magic orb floated in between them.
"Name?" the NPC voice resonated with an otherworldly echo.
"Aleman," August replied.
The orb glowed faintly as the NPC waved a hand. "Registration complete. You are participating in the Mage Tier 2 Qualification. Wait for your batch to be called."
