Chapter 61: Infiltration (4)
The first Order, Yoo Seong received as a knight, “King’s Time”, was an extraordinary ability that allowed him to utilize all the chivalries of his knights.
However, after the King’s Time ended, both mind and body were utterly drained, making it an ability reserved for critical moments.
Activating King’s Time, Yoo Seong straightened his lance and charged forward, utilizing Hector’s chivalry, the Colossus of Camelot.
At the moment the ground shook, René’s warhorse, Rainy, carrying Yoo Seong, swelled up as if by magic.
Yoo Seong also grew larger, and both Rainy and Yoo Seong became more than three times their original size.
Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!
Each time Rainy’s hooves struck the ground, it quaked as if an earthquake had occurred.
“Hi-hic!”
“Kyaaah!”
From the perspective of a foot soldier, even the charge of an ordinary heavily armored cavalryman was terrifyingly imposing.
Now, with a giant many times larger charging at them, fear overwhelmed their minds.
“Run away!”
“Aaaah!”
The ratmen, who had gathered at Regal’s command, dropped their weapons and began to flee.
The survival instincts awakened by Yoo Seong overcame the ratmen’s obedience, which had been born of fear and terror.
Regal ground his teeth, his eyes bloodshot.
Instead of trying to stop the fleeing ratmen or issue commands, he focused on Yoo Seong, charging head-on.
“U-aaaaah!”
Regal did not flee.
He extended both arms forward, releasing all his amplified magical power.
It was a raw release of mana.
Though it wasn’t a proper spell, the lack of incantation and preparation made it incredibly fast.
The black, rough mana lashed out toward Yoo Seong.
Yoo Seong saw it but he didn’t stop.
He didn’t change direction or raise his shield to block it.
He simply released his chivalry.
Crash—!
Regal’s mana grazed past Yoo Seong, who had reverted to his original size, and exploded upon hitting the ground further ahead.
Boom!
The explosion reverberated, shaking the surroundings.
The shockwave was enormous but what mattered was that it missed.
“Damn it!”
Regal cursed and tried to release his mana again but this time, it was too late.
The distance to Yoo Seong was too short.
Yoo Seong focused straight ahead.
Clenching the lance tightly, he activated chivalry once more.
He used a combination of three knight powers.
Kate’s Glory of Camelot.
Vanadain’s Piercing Strike.
Diana’s Diana Shock.
The golden aura that flickered around Yoo Seong’s entire body concentrated at the tip of the lance.
It began to shine brightly, radiant like the sun heralding the morning glory.
Tri-Knight Fusion.
[Rising Impact.]
The blow that had crushed the Kobold prince struck Regal, unleashing a terrifying shockwave accompanied by a deafening roar.
The resplendent golden light dispelled the night momentarily, illuminating the entire world.
Kwoaaaaaaah!
Unable to withstand the impact, Regal’s body exploded and disintegrated.
Dozens of ratmen caught in the shockwave were literally shattered.
Then the heavily armored cavalry charged forward.
Forming a wedge formation around Yoo Seong, they pushed past him, overwhelming the terrified ratmen.
Crash-crash-crash-crash-crash!
They trampled and smashed everything in their path.
Even the ratmen who managed to escape the heavy cavalry ended up pushing and shoving each other in a chaotic retreat, with many dying or being injured in the process.
Yoo Seong halted Rainy, panting heavily as he surveyed the scene.
Still holding the intact banner, protected by Kate’s Glory of Camelot, he raised it high and let out a victorious roar.
The humans watching finally raised their hands and cheered.
Even they had been momentarily speechless, awestruck by the overwhelming spectacle.
“Uwooooooh!”
“Black Knight!”
“Black Knight!”
“The Black Knight of Lothian!”
“All troops, charge!”
At Kate’s command, the elite infantry charged at the ratmen, followed by the residents of Lushen.
The elven archers under Vanadain had already taken positions on rooftops and high ground, picking off fleeing ratmen one by one.
“Hah… hah…”
Yoo Seong, astride Rainy, let out ragged breaths.
His entire body felt hot.
His heart felt as if it would burst at any moment.
But Yoo Seong neither collapsed nor slumped.
Instead, he maintained his posture.
With Regal dead and the ratmen crushed, the Dark Elf leader seen in the underground tunnels was likely to flee as long as Yoo Seong didn’t show weakness.
And Yoo Seong’s thoughts weren’t wrong.
Watching the battle from the wall, Narcis, who had been observing Regal fight, retreated with the remaining Dark Elves.
Unaware that Yoo Seong was on the verge of collapse, they deemed retreat the best option, especially with the momentum inside the fortress completely shifted.
“Successor.”
A familiar voice broke through Yoo Seong’s labored breathing. Turning, he saw René’s face.
Behind her stood Jillian and Ruan.
Ruan looked relatively unharmed, but René and Jillian were soaking wet, covered in dirt, and utterly disheveled.
Though their stunning beauty still shone through, their appearances bore heavy traces of hardship.
“You all really went through a lot.”
At Yoo Seong’s words, René let out an involuntary chuckle.
They had really stormed into the tunnels with just the three of them (Ruan had only stood guard).
Not just stormed in—they had deliberately lured the enemies to target their leader.
Flood the tunnels by connecting them to the moat?
It was a good idea but the method was absurd.
To flood the tunnels, they had gone inside and dug upward toward the ceiling.
Driven by the baron’s death and their determination to destroy the tunnels, they had joined the plan without hesitation, but looking back, it was sheer madness.
“Sorry. I might’ve gone overboard.”
Yoo Seong’s small, apologetic smile made René narrow her eyes before relaxing her shoulders.
“At least you know…so that’s something.”
The memory of diving into the barrier Jillian had created to escape the pouring water still made René shiver, though it had ultimately turned out well.
After all, she had agreed to the plan herself.
And, well, remembering the moment Yoo Seong had pulled her close, holding her tightly—it was… impressive?
Strong, serious, big, and warm.
As René blushed at her thoughts, Jillian, noticing her expression, thought:
‘She’s completely smitten.’
Her thoughts were practically visible on her face.
Still blushing, René cleared her throat and composed her expression, but it was short-lived.
Not just because of her embellished memories of Yoo Seong.
They had won. They had achieved victory.
Not only had they destroyed the tunnels, but they had also reclaimed Lushen and rescued countless captives.
Thinking of their miraculous success, René couldn’t stop smiling.
When René smiled, Yoo Seong smiled as well. Seeing the king and his mage smiling at each other, the saintess thought.
‘Hard to keep up.’
As expected, these two people are anything but normal.
Yet, even Jillian found herself already smiling.
The fact that they had rescued the residents of Lushen, who they had no choice but to leave behind during their escape, brought a smile to her face.
“Ah, by the way, since we’re here, shall we take a look together?”
Yoo Seong said as he dismounted from Rainy’s back, momentarily stumbling before leaning on Rene’s shoulder and opening the status window.

Seeing the list of notifications—particularly the message about gaining 300 points and the addition of a new facility—Rene smiled broadly, and Jillian followed suit with a graceful smile.
“For the glory of Camelot!”
“For the glory of Camelot!”
As Jimmy shouted and Lushen’s residents echoed the cry, Yoo Seong turned his gaze into the distance.
Morning light was breaking from the east.
The lords who arrived at the Omphalos Monastery were, with few exceptions like Baron Anjou, utterly exhausted. After issuing a few urgent commands, most fell into a deep sleep.
However, their rest did not last long.
At dawn, the monastery’s monks hurriedly woke them.
“What, what’s the situation? Did it succeed? Did the Black Knight of Lothian destroy the tunnels?”
Baron Laval’s question made the other lords, still groggy, turn their eyes to the monks.
Baron Auber bit his lip.
If it was already morning, then more than eight hours had passed since they parted ways with the Black Knight of Lothian.
What could have happened?
Had he not returned to the monastery?
If not, where could he have gone?
Could it be—had he fallen in Lushen?
Baron Auber looked at the monks.
They were smiling.
Upon closer inspection, Anjou, who seemed to have not slept at all, stood among them with a haggard face but still managed to wear a faint smile.
At that moment, Auber was certain.
They had succeeded.
The Black Knight of Lothian had destroyed the tunnel in Lushen!
“I knew it! I believed in him!”
Baron Laval, reaching the same conclusion, clenched his fists in excitement.
Auber unknowingly mimicked the gesture.
But then—
“No, that’s not all.”
“Eh? What do you mean, not all?”
When Laval, now something of a spokesperson for the lords, asked, Anjou replied with a peculiar, somewhat hollow smile.
“The Black Knight of Lothian has reclaimed Lushen.”
“What, what? What did you say?”
“Exactly that. The Black Knight of Lothian charged into Lushen alone, drove out the Ratmen, and reclaimed the city.”
Strictly speaking, Rene, Jillian, and Ruan had been there too, so he wasn’t entirely alone, but in the grand scheme of things, it was close enough.
The reclamation of Lushen.
The miraculous achievement left the lords speechless.
They couldn’t even cheer; they simply exchanged blank looks with each other.
And then, one man—Count Carian—turned his gaze toward the direction of Lushen.
