Chapter 370: Reforging the Glory of the Battle Mage
In a Different Space,
this was a desolate stone wasteland shrouded in thick, grey clouds, utterly devoid of green vegetation and signs of life.
Boom!
The deafening sounds of explosions and roars echoed; the entire wasteland trembled incessantly, the site of an extremely fierce battle unfolding within this space.
However, the word "fierce" might only apply to one of the parties involved.
Stephens held the Legendary Wand [Gaia's Fury] in his hand, calmly floating mid-air, leisurely as if he were merely on an outing here.
Fiery red, deep blue, brownish-yellow, pale cyan—four pure colors whirled around his body, and numerous intricate and complex Magic Arrays, made of profound symbols and patterns, guided and controlled massive amounts of Magic Elements to form a Solid Magic Shield covering the entire sky.
Beneath those multicolored Magic Shields was a fearsome gigantic beast, enveloped in scarlet blood mist, tirelessly pounding against the shields above its head.
This fierce beast had a bizarre appearance, with parts from different ferocious animals—such as a tiger's head, bear's body, dragon's wings—brazenly displaying the dreadful strength of a Legendary Strongman.
Not far behind this colossal creature, on the ground was an eerie fog, a mix of dark green and pale white, hovering around the [mourning bird]. This Legendary Plague Mage clutched his bone Magic Wand, as an enormous Undead roared and charged at Stephens in the sky.
Soon, though, this terrifyingly powerful Undead was dismembered into pieces by Stephens's meteoric Shape Changing Magic Spells.

"Damn it, how can he be so strong?"
[Thirsty Blood Beast] Elvin muttered in disbelief and frustration.
The seemingly frail Shield in front of him remained unshakable no matter how much he battered it.
"Of course, do you think I would agree to join forces with you if it were so easy?"
[mourning bird] Garcia spoke calmly, without a trace of emotion in his tone.
Elvin suppressed the fury in his heart and continued to collaborate with Garcia in launching assaults on Stephens.
They were indifferent to the plans of Duke House and their cohorts and never intended to defeat Stephens.
The reason they appeared united on this day was, on one hand, to challenge a stronger being and to see the path ahead more clearly, and on the other, if they could make a new breakthrough in the fight against [Judgement Flame]—even if it were merely to wound Stephens—it would benefit their establishment of a following on the Fanor Continent and help them progress further on the Path to Divinity.
Challenging [Judgement Flame] was seen as a death wish by many, but how many believers of the Evil God were not insane?
Moreover, with divine gifts granted to them, both of them still had confidence in their survival.
Stephens in the sky slightly turned his head, as if he noticed something.
Ha, so Joey had made a move after all?
But that was to be expected. Even if the Master of Ten Thousand Beasts were to truly descend, even the weakest vessel would possess at least Legendary-level strength.
That would indeed be a bit too much for Little Lis!
However, now that Joey had acted, there was no need for him to worry about Little Lis anymore.
Let's finish this quickly!
Stephens looked down at the two Legends below, as terrifying Magic Power began bubbling and surging within him.
Elvin and Garcia's hearts sank as they felt the pressure suddenly increase.
...
Lis witnessed firsthand the collapse of the blood-colored bear into filthy blood-water and foul-smelling rotten flesh, with no trace of Duke House left.
Lis had already realized that Uncle Joyce must have rushed over immediately upon discovering something was amiss.
However, seeing that Lis was fighting against House and Mei Lulan, Joyce did not reveal himself and simply observed from the sidelines.
It was only when Duke House was about to summon the Master of Ten Thousand Beasts that Joyce intervened, right?
Indeed, a divine descent wasn't an invincible status; Lis couldn't break through, but for Uncle Joyce, it really was nothing much.
For a Legendary Warrior, it might have been somewhat troublesome, but for the Legendary Assassin Joey, it was an easy capture.
Lis took a look at the land below; the small hills had already been greatly damaged in the battle among Lis and the others, and now further contaminated by the filthy outflow from the collapse of Duke House's transformation, making recovery impossible in the short term.
Suddenly, a deep grey Shadow appeared in front of Lis, and Joey emerged from it.
The boss looked nonchalant, as though the terrifying scene of the Master of Ten Thousand Beasts' descent was nothing significant to him.
"Uncle Joey, sorry to trouble you!"
Lis approached Joey and spoke respectfully.
Although Uncle Joey was kind to him, it wasn't a reason to always help Lis out.
Since his rebirth, Uncle Joey had provided significant help, and deep down, Lis respected this elder.
Joey examined Lis up and down to ensure he wasn't seriously injured, then said with a smile:
"Looks like there's nothing major, you were quite decisive just now!"
Lis knew that Uncle Joey was likely referring to the moment he stealthily assassinated Mei Lulan. Although he used a Longsword, he indeed employed assassin-like methods.
"Still, it came down to your intervention in the end."
Joey shook his head with a smile and cautioned Lis:
"The plague on you is probably hard to handle by yourself, pay a visit to the Dawn Church. Additionally, have them come to cleanse the contamination in this area, otherwise ordinary people won't be able to approach it."
