I Am Hades, Lord of the Underworld!

Chapter 236: Chapter 236: Under the Fixed Program! Where Exactly is the Opportunity or Miracle?

Planning.

Scheming.

Hades' target was not just Poseidon and Zeus, but the entire mythological world.

In reality, the Greek Mythological World was not a true living entity. After Chaos, the Absolute God of Chaos, created the Greek Mythological World, he did not involve himself further.

The Greek Mythological World was constructed under Gaia's supervision. Creating everything within it and nurturing the world, especially a mythological one, was no simple task. Hades' meticulous planning, even at times risking everything, reveals just how challenging it is to cultivate such a world.

Gaia's injuries were a direct result of creating and nurturing the Greek Mythological World. Since then, Gaia has been in a semi-conscious state, gradually healing over time, thanks to her unique nature and choices.

Gaia, along with Uranus, gave birth to the twelve Titans, the three Cyclopes brothers, and the three Hecatoncheires brothers. Gaia might not have been deeply affectionate toward her children, but she took care of them. Why? Because Gaia had chosen another path.

The Ancient Gods, in their desire to break free from the constraints of the Greek Mythological World, invested in the God-Kings. However, none, like the Ancient God couple Erebus and Nyx, went all in. That was beyond investment; it was a gamble where the couple risked everything.

Gaia, too, sought transcendence. She nurtured her children, step by step, so they could eventually provide feedback to her. During the Golden Age of the Titans' rule over the Greek Mythological World, Gaia's wounds had almost fully healed, with only a small portion left. With some rest, she would have fully recovered.

However, Gaia was deeply dissatisfied with the downfall of the Titans. Thus, she made some drastic decisions.

But one must always pay the price for their actions.

This was inevitable.

And so, this was the path Gaia and the Ancient Gods chose. Meanwhile, all other gods, including Hades, sought to transcend the limitations of the mythological world.

This brings us back to the core issue.

The Greek Mythological World! After its creation, it had no consciousness. Its destiny, like a predetermined path, followed a series of major nodes—events that were bound to happen.

Between these major nodes, from Node 1 to Node 2, countless variations could occur, much like in the primal world, where the grand trend was unchangeable, but minor trends could be altered. This is the fundamental problem of the Greek Mythological World.

These are unchangeable.

Hades, Poseidon, and Zeus, in their quest for transcendence, were fully aware of the fixed program of the Greek Mythological World.

But they didn't care.

Within its fixed program, they couldn't succeed; they could only follow the predetermined destiny.

So, all of Hades' planning and scheming were never really aimed at Poseidon or Zeus but at breaking free from the mythological world's constraints.

This situation is somewhat similar to the primal world.

Comparatively, the Ancient Gods are like the saints of the Heavenly Dao in the primal world. Though they possess unrivaled power within the Greek Mythological World, they are mere puppets, following commands without question. Meanwhile, Hades and the other God-Kings are akin to the protagonists of each era, like the Ancestral Dragon, Ancestral Phoenix, Ancestral Qilin, or the Lich tribes.

In the end, these protagonists of each era strive to become stronger, not to become saints like the Ancient Gods, but to break free from the world's constraints and become truly self-cultivated saints.

This is merely a comparison, but it roughly describes the relationship.

This is Hades' current situation. The probability of Hades succeeding is incredibly low, almost negligible. It's beyond the realm of miracles; it should be called an epic or perhaps even a myth!

If Hades were to succeed, he would become a myth in himself, establishing a whole new mythological system.

That's just how it is!

Each Absolute God represents a mythological system.

They create mythological systems for the purpose of harvesting. What exactly are they harvesting? That's not something Hades knows!

In summary, gods are a group of greedy, insane beings, and you should never trust their actions.

Hades is no different. All his preparations and schemes are aimed at success.

If there ever comes a day when he needs to sacrifice everything to reach a higher level, Hades will not hesitate to abandon it all.

"Opportunity."

"Opportunity."

"Breakthrough."

As Hades returned to the Elysian Fields, he murmured softly, "The birth of Sparta was only the first step, or rather, an unexpected joy."

"The true core..."

Hades was all too aware that the long years ahead, destined by fate, were his only chance.

In those years, so long they defy description, if he could take each step carefully and truly break free from the entire mythological world, then at that moment, he would have succeeded.

But could he really do it? Even now, Hades was already at an impasse. Despite all his arrangements, everything was at a standstill.

Whether he could succeed or not, no one knew!

Although Hades had made many preparations and left many contingencies, he also knew that these were difficult and not easily arranged. He needed to search; he needed to think.

How could he truly take the next step, or rather, how could he find that opportunity—or miracle?
