Chapter 289: God of Dark element
Julian could feel the tension, the suffocating presence of guilt and regret. He knew he had to break the silence. "And how did he get sealed? Was he not healing?"
Amir's face darkened, the guilt in his eyes growing deeper. "After they all left, our deity stayed in that place, waiting for their return. But Morthet, sensing the presence of the Preserver, took advantage of his vulnerability. He dragged him to the cavern you saw yesterday and sealed him there with an unorthodox method."
Julian's brow furrowed as he processed the new information. "So, he wasn't just abandoned... he was trapped."
Amir's gaze became colder. "Morthet was vile. He left the method to unseal behind, knowing that the only way to break the seal would be to sacrifice a living being—something our deity would never willingly do."
Even in his final moments, Morthet played them like puppets, Julian thought bitterly.
Amir's voice softened, as if recalling the deep sorrow of the past. "One of the siblings eventually returned, weighed down by guilt for abandoning our deity. For thousands of years, he endured the cold, with no food, kneeling in remorse. It was the genuineness of his regret that melted our deity's heart. He forgave him."
That sibling was none other than the master of darkness—the one who controls the dark element.
Amir paused for a moment, as though lost in thought. "For another thousand years, he searched for alternatives, ways to break the seal without resorting to the sacrifice. But nothing worked. Eventually, he bore the burden of the sin himself. He took many wives, formed the Nu Tribe, and began to breed. But still, he could not bring himself to sacrifice his children. And so, he waited. He decided that when the children reached the age of 18, he would perform the ritual."
Amir's eyes grew distant, the pain of countless years of sacrifice evident. "Harith was not the first child. Our tribe has lost many, all in the hope of weakening the seal. But nothing ever worked—until yesterday."
Julian leaned back, the enormity of the revelations weighing heavily on him. Each truth raised more questions, but he knew that, in time, all would be revealed.
His gaze fell down at the glowing orb of energy. "So... this is the preserver?" he asked in awe.
Amir nodded. "Yes, but only his consciousness."
Julian leaned back in his seat, trying to absorb everything that had been shared.
"This is all too much to take in in such a short period of time. The things about the trinity and the supreme beings were already hard enough to grasp, but with seven beings, the formation of elements, the seal, the sacrifices... everything,"

His brows furrowed as another thought crossed his mind. "But where was creation while all this happened? Should it not have interfered?"
Amir shook his head, confusion flashing in his eyes. "I don't know."
Julian smirked, "So even the Darkness himself doesn't know it?" he teased.
"Yes..." Amir said nonchalantly, but before he could continue, he stood, his eyes widening in disbelief. "What... how did you... know?"
Dakota and Aria exchanged surprised glances. "Darkness?" Dakota whispered, her voice barely audible.
Aria turned to Amir. "You are the master of darkness... but how?" she asked.
Amir glanced at Julian, then looked back at his companions. "I will tell you later," he said, a serious tone returning to his voice.
He then turned back to Julian, "How did you know?"
Julian let out a soft laugh. "As the bearer of Lightning Authority, I have the power to know at least that," he said, his voice carrying a subtle arrogance.
They all glanced at him in surprise. "What do you mean, Lightning Authority?" Aria asked, unable to hide her curiosity.
Julian chuckled as he raised his hands. The sky outside immediately began darkening, and lightning clashed wildly while thunder rumbled in a deafening roar.
Amir, Aria, and Dakota all rushed to the window, their eyes widening in shock at the sight of the violent thunderstorm raging outside.
"Lightning..." Amir whispered before a smile spread across his face. "Julian, I did not expect you to have the Authority of Lightning."
Dakota looked at Julian, her expression a mixture of awe and surprise. "So you are also a demi-god?"
Julian smiled, his tone calm yet confident. "I guess so."
Amir then asked, "How did you get the Authority? Did the fifth brother die?"
Julian nodded, "I think so. I was informed that Fire... or someone else, killed him."
Amir sighed, shaking his head. "That was bound to happen."
Julian leaned back slightly, resting his chin on his hand. "Is that the reason why there is a natural barrier that doesn't allow several elements to mix up?"
Amir looked at him, confusion in his eyes. "What do you mean?"
"Never mind," Julian said as he flicked his hands dismissively. I think I know just how to unify all the elements, he thought with a sly grin.
"What's your next move?" Amir asked.
Julian stood, stretching his arms with a deep sigh. "I think I will go back home. I've been gone for too long."
He glanced at the orb again, his expression growing more serious. "When will it wake up?"
Amir looked at the orb, his eyes clouded with uncertainty. "I don't know. Could be today, tomorrow... or maybe thousands of years."
Julian nodded and with that, he made his way toward Hanu's room. As he walked, his eyes glowed with determination. This has gotten too dangerous and complex. I have to be more careful.

The day soon passed to night and as the night continued, Julian slowly woke from his sleep. His eyes scanned the quiet room, and he saw Hanu sleeping peacefully. A faint smile crept onto his face before he quietly slipped out of bed and made his way out of the room.
He walked silently through the dimly lit hallway before stopping in front of a door. It was slightly open, and with a soft push, he entered the room. The room was dimly lit by candles that casted strange shadows on the walls.
His eyes immediately fell on the figure lying on the bed. He stepped closer, his footsteps echoing in the quiet night.
But before he could get any closer, a voice suddenly cut through the silence, smooth and teasing, "Took you long enough."
Julian's lips curled into a knowing smile, his eyes dark with desire. "I wasn't in a hurry, Aria," he replied.
