Honkai Impact 3rd: Catching the Herrscher of Sentience at the Start

Chapter 142: Chapter 137: This Person Is Not Simple

"Be careful." Fu Lin pulled out Twilight and speared a charging monster, reminding her.

"Fighting in a snowy wasteland is so uninspiring~ Can anyone even survive in this place?" Fu Shi casually shattered an ice sculpture, watching the snowflakes scatter.

"Isn't there one down below?" Fu Lin passed through the snowstorm and pointed at a city standing tall amidst the vast snowfield.

"Then let's hurry over."

--------------------------

Fu Shi summoned the sword sheath, grabbed Fu Lin, and flew straight down toward Belobog below, eventually stopping in a deserted corner.

Fu Lin tidied his disheveled long hair, got down from the sword sheath, and, seeing Fu Shi's current appearance, bit his lip to stop himself from laughing.

Fu Shi's upper body was covered in snow, leaving only her pair of spirited eyes visible, silently staring at Fu Lin.

"Fu Shi, why do you look like a snowman? Hahaha!" Fu Lin pinched his thigh, his face flushed red as he tried to hold it in, but when he saw Fu Shi's rolling eyeballs, he couldn't help but laugh out loud.

He took out his phone and began snapping pictures of Fu Shi.

"Bah! The snow here is ridiculous! And you're laughing? If I hadn't shielded you, you wouldn't be much better off!" Fu Shi brushed the snow off her face and body, spat out the snow in her mouth, and punched Fu Lin in the chest.

"Okay, I won't laugh anymore. Cough, cough... Haha, sorry, I'm not trained for this; I couldn't help it."

Fu Lin clutched his chest, saving the pictures he had just taken. But as he looked at the photos of Fu Shi, he couldn't resist laughing again.

"Hey, friend, interested in becoming buddies with me?" A blue-haired man suddenly appeared behind Fu Lin, rubbing his hands with a cheeky grin.

"Whoa! Where did you come from?!" Fu Lin quickly moved to Fu Shi's side, staring at the blue-haired man in a dark red jacket.

"Haha, sorry for the abrupt entrance. But meeting like-minded people is such a rare occasion, haha..." The man in red smiled warmly at Fu Lin, pleased to have made an unexpected encounter in the Upper District.

"Fu Lin, she's called Fu Shi," Fu Lin resisted the urge to punch the grinning man, reminding himself not to hit someone with a smiling face.

"Sampo Koski, a pleasure to meet you both." Sampo introduced himself, extending his hand to Fu Lin in a friendly gesture.

"Fu Lin, doesn't he look like the man on that wall?" Fu Shi nudged Fu Lin with her elbow, pointing at a rather abstract wanted poster on the nearby wall.

"Hmm... He does look a bit like him." Fu Lin privately compared the wanted poster with Sampo, noting the similarities.

"…Friend, you're not planning to catch me, are you?" Sampo noticed what Fu Lin was holding and froze in shock.

"I don't think we should be friends anymore. After all, I'm a bit short on funds right now." Fu Lin tucked the wanted poster into his pocket and quickly lunged at Sampo.

Seeing Fu Lin move, Fu Shi attacked from the side. Just as they were about to catch him, Sampo skillfully dodged and threw a few smoke bombs onto the ground.

As the smoke enveloped the area, Sampo vanished from sight.

"This guy isn't simple." Fu Lin covered his mouth and nose as he rushed out of the smoke.

"Darn it, he got away!" Fu Shi emerged from the side, crossing her arms in frustration.

"Hello, may I ask what happened here?" A silver-maned guard approached, glancing at the smoke-covered area and asking Fu Lin.

"We ran into a wanted criminal but accidentally let him escape." Fu Lin handed the wanted poster to the silver-maned guard.

"For your safety, please notify us immediately when you encounter a suspect," the guard said, placing his hand on his chest in a polite yet stern manner.

"…Will do next time." Fu Lin, surprised by the guard's concern for residents' safety, reluctantly replied.

"Thank you for your understanding." The guard nodded to Fu Lin, then posted a few wanted posters on a nearby wall before leaving without looking back.

"Whoa! These three wanted posters... Who are they?" Fu Shi flashed over to the freshly posted posters, staring at the distorted drawings that made it hard to tell who they depicted.

"Emmm, doesn't this expressionless one look a bit like Dan Heng?" Fu Lin pointed at the poster of a figure holding a spear, feeling some resemblance.

"Then this pink-haired one must be March 7th, and this one… Stelle? They've actually been put on wanted posters!" Fu Shi sweat dropped as she looked at another poster.

"Who even drew these wanted posters? Do they really want to catch these people? Even if they showed up in person, no one would recognize them!" Fu Lin covered his face, unable to stop himself from complaining.
