Hokage: I Traveled Through Time With The Tenseigan

Chapter 133: ch131

For most people, reading the Forbidden Technique Scroll would be incredibly difficult. Even attempting to learn the Ninjutsu within it requires significant combat merits and the permission of the Third Hokage and the Elders.

But for Tsunade, none of these restrictions apply.

She can access it whenever she wants, openly study it, and even copy the Ninjutsu right in front of others.

The rules that bind ordinary ninjas simply do not apply to Tsunade—her privileges ensure that.

This is precisely why Shigeru asked Tsunade to copy Ninjutsu and Sealing Techniques instead of doing it himself or waiting for the little blond kid to grow up and earn the opportunity.

With Tsunade, there was no need for all that hassle. Why not prepare in advance?

The document in his hand was forgotten as the Third Hokage's eyes were glued to the Ninjutsu scroll in Tsunade's possession. After confirming she was only copying Sealing Techniques and the Flying Thunder God Technique, he breathed a sigh of relief.

At least it wasn't a forbidden technique.

But why was Tsunade copying these Ninjutsu?

"Old man, you can continue your work. I'll be leaving now."

After copying the Ninjutsu, Tsunade returned the forbidden technique scroll to its place, waved at the Third Hokage, and walked out of his office, leaving him deep in thought.

Tsunade definitely wasn't going to learn the Flying Thunder God Technique—she didn't have the aptitude for it. If she wasn't copying for herself, then for whom?

It had to be Shigeru.

The Third Hokage's mood soured at the thought. However, there was nothing he could do. Others could be stopped, but not Tsunade.

---

"Here it is—all the basic Sealing Techniques. When Kushina begins learning, you can have Minato join in as well."

Tsunade handed the scroll to Shigeru, who accepted it without hesitation.

At this stage, the little blond kid could only learn the basics; anything advanced would be out of his reach for years. It would take time to lay a solid foundation before his real growth could begin.

For now, Shigeru's main task was to ensure the child built that foundation properly.

---

As time passed, Shigeru's title as the "God-Slayer" spread throughout the ninja world. The story of how Hanzo, the Salamander, attacked the Konoha camp at night, only to be violently countered, sent shockwaves through every village.

Hanzo's strength was universally recognized, with many considering the title of "demigod" well-deserved. Yet, the demigod had been defeated—by a medical ninja, no less.

When did Konoha's medics become this powerful?

The title "God-Slayer" quickly gained traction, and Shigeru's profile began circulating across the ninja world.

Upon reading his information, many skeptics questioned its authenticity.

---

After work, Tsunade returned home to find Shigeru sprawled lazily on the sofa.

"How long have you been back? And you're already being lazy? Was the front line really that exhausting?"

"It's more tiring than you think," Shigeru replied, yawning as he shifted into a more comfortable position.

"During the day, I had to oversee every little thing in the medical unit. At night, Katsuyu Sage would drag me to the Shikkotsu Forest for Sage Jutsu training. This went on for months. What do you think?"

If it were anyone else, they would've collapsed.

Katsuyu Sage had a knack for picking inconvenient times, dragging Shigeru to train during his busiest periods. For once, Tsunade felt some sympathy for him.

She could understand why he seemed perpetually drained now that he was back in the village.

"Here, take a look."

Tsunade sat at the other end of the sofa and tossed two scrolls toward Shigeru.

---

Shigeru caught the flying scrolls, opened one, and couldn't help but laugh.

"Fake intel?"

Some people were questioning his accomplishments, suggesting that the reports about his battle with Hanzo had been falsified.

Shigeru found it amusing.

"They're really going out of their way to discredit me, huh?"

"You can laugh about it?" Tsunade raised an eyebrow.

"It's not like anyone in the village is questioning me. Why shouldn't I laugh? Some of their claims are downright entertaining."

Shigeru admired Anbu's thoroughness—they even collected such absurd rumors and forwarded them to Tsunade.

Seeing that Shigeru didn't take the matter to heart, Tsunade felt relieved. She'd been worried he might react poorly, given his young age and rising reputation.

With her mind at ease, Tsunade got up and headed toward the bathroom.

"Take a good rest. You'll be reporting to Anbu in three days."

"???"

Shigeru sat up, dumbfounded.

"What? You're assigning me to Anbu? Do I look like someone suited for that?"

Tsunade paused at the bathroom door, glancing back with a smirk.

"Not really, but that's fine. I don't need you to be a regular member. I want you to be the leader and manage Anbu."

"..."

The news hit Shigeru like a ton of bricks.

"Wait, are you planning to leave the village?"

Inside the bathroom, Tsunade splashed water on her face before replying:

"Of course. Otherwise, would you rather I go to the Kawagakure battlefield? I'm part of this village, and it's only right that I serve during wartime. Besides, they need me on the front line."

If the enemy were from any other village, Tsunade's and Shigeru's presence wouldn't have made much difference.

But against the puppet armies of Sand Village, they were crucial.

---

"Can't we talk this through?" Shigeru groaned, rubbing his face in frustration.

Anbu might be prestigious, but the workload was notorious for being overwhelming and chaotic.

Tsunade's response came with a hint of mischief:

"You'll figure it out."
