Hogwarts: The Unscientific Wizard (TL)

Chapter 567: Chapter 567: Preparation and Travel to the Ministry of Magic in London

Hogwarts, the kitchen.

Hogwarts' kitchen is located on the castle's lower level and is connected to Hufflepuff's common room.

A painting of fruits serves as the kitchen door. Andy spotted the pear among the many fruits and reached out to scratch it.

"Hahaha—"

The pear in the painting let out a laugh before turning into a green doorknob.

"That's kind of silly..."

Andy chuckled, then pulled open the kitchen door.

What many people don't know about Hogwarts is that there are actually a lot of house elves living in the kitchens. They are not only responsible for cooking but also for cleaning the castle.

Otherwise, it would be impossible to clean the whole castle by just relying on the Squib Filch, even if he worked himself to death.

It's just that no one has noticed them.

The ability to handle all the household chores without being noticed is a basic skill of a good house elf.

But that's not what Andy values.

House elves are not affected by most Anti-Apparition spells, which means they can Apparate anywhere.

Without a house elf, Andy really wouldn't dare to take part in this mission.

The kitchen was large and high.

Pots and pans and other utensils were neatly arranged on the shelves along the wall, with a huge brick fireplace on the other side.

"Hello, Mr. Collins,"

A House Elf bowed respectfully, its nose almost touching the ground. "May I help you?"

"You know me?" Andy asked in surprise.

This is Andy's first time in the Hogwarts kitchen, and he has never seen this house elf before.

How do they know me?

Am I that famous?

Andy felt a little flattered.

"Of course!"

The house elf said proudly, "We know all the professors and students in the castle. We deliver everyone's luggage safely to their dormitory at the start of the school year."

"We never made a mistake in a thousand years."

So...

Andy suddenly felt an indescribable feeling in his heart.

These House Elves... they have lived at Hogwarts their whole lives and have served Hogwarts their whole lives. But no one remembers them, and not many people even know they exist.

They have silently given everything, but they cannot appear before people at will.

And yet, this group of House Elves takes pride in this.

Andy's gaze swept over the group of house elves... Their faces showed genuine respect, and they regarded serving the wizards as their greatest responsibility and glory.

What a sad life!

Andy wondered what the original house elves had been through. Was it the war? Or was it that... they inherently had a service-oriented nature?

But it didn't matter anymore.

Although Andy felt sorry for them, he would not rush to change this.

If you're not a fish, how would you know the joy of being a fish?

What's more, if the house elves gained their freedom, who knows if humans would gain an enemy?

"I need a little help."

Andy said bluntly. "Professor Dumbledore has already agreed, so would any of you mind helping me?"

The house elf that spoke first said, "We gladly serve you, Mr. Collins."

"Thanks!" Andy nodded.

"Sir, you mustn't say that!"

The house elf flinched slightly. "It is our honour to serve you, sir."

Andy raised an eyebrow but didn't say anything more.

"Follow me!" Andy said.

Once they had left the kitchen, Andy used the Disillusionment Charm to take the house elf outside the castle.

"Mr Collins, w-where are we going?" The house elf asked curiously.

Andy stopped in his tracks, and instead of answering the question, he quickly pulled out his wand and whispered, "Imperio!"

He took control of the house elf and put it in the undetectable extension charm enchanted pocket.

It was now 5:10 pm.

There were only 20 minutes left until the agreed time of 5:30 pm.

Andy straightened his clothes and ran a hand through his hair before walking towards the agreed meeting place.

"Andy, you're here!" Harry had already arrived and couldn't hide his elation when he saw Andy appear.

He couldn't wait any longer.

"Hm!"

Andy grunted in response before saying matter-of-factly, "Let's go! We'll go to the Forbidden Forest first."

"Andy, how are we going to get there?"

Harry asked as he followed Andy towards the Forbidden Forest. "The Ministry of Magic is in London, so it's not possible to get there quickly by normal means of transport."

"But we can fly there on a hippogriff, and I happen to know one. Or...a broom would do."

"What?" Andy was taken aback.

What kind of creature is it?

"A hippogriff,"

Harry explained, "They have the head, wings, and forelimbs of an eagle, and the rear body…including the legs and tail, is more like a horse."

"Hagrid knows them; he's very interested in these..."

Harry went on and on, looking a little nervous.

"Okay!"

Andy said a little speechlessly, "We have other ways."

Soon, Andy led Harry into the Forbidden Forest.

"Harry, put your hand in mine," Andy said, extending his arm for Harry to take hold of.

"Er…okay!" Harry was taken aback, but he didn't ask any more questions and placed his hand on Andy's arm as he was told.

As soon as the two of them made contact, Andy immediately used the Apparition spell.

Harry felt like the world was spinning for a moment, and when he could see his surroundings again, the two of them had already arrived in an alley in London.

"You guys..." A middle-aged man looked at the suddenly manifested Andy and Harry with horror and was about to scream when-

"Obliviate!" Andy waved his wand directly.

"Er..."

Harry was a little uncomfortable. "Andy, is he okay?"

"It's fine; he'll just lose the memory of us," Andy explained.

Harry didn't ask any more questions; he knew this spell.

"Did we just use the Apparition spell?" Harry asked.

"Yes!"

Andy nodded and said, "The Ministry of Magic is just below here. There is a phone booth about 100 meters away that leads directly to the Ministry."

"Are we going there now?" Harry asked immediately.

"Well, let's eat first."

Andy led Harry out of the alley and said as they walked, "There's a reason I told you to meet me at 5:30. The Ministry employees finish work at 5:30, which is still a little while away."

"When most of them leave, it'll be a little after 6:00. I've left some time so that we can try some Muggle food."

"Okay!"

"Harry, did you bring any money? I don't have much Muggle money on me."

Harry: "…"
