Hogwarts: The Unscientific Wizard (TL)

Chapter 564: Chapter 564: Harry and Malfoy Duel

It must be said, Professor Lupin is really a very good professor. He is easygoing, has a great sense of humour, and is extremely knowledgeable and open-minded.

More importantly, he is very patient.

Spellcasting is nothing more than a combination of incantations, gestures, and the corresponding mental strength (emotions).

It is as straightforward as that.

But some young wizards just can't get it.

Professor Lupin was also very patient and explained again and again. He didn't stop until everyone understood.

Snape, who was standing nearby, seemed to be growing impatient.

Once Professor Lupin finished explaining, Snape immediately walked up to him, looked around, and said playfully, "Since everyone understands, I think we should ask two students to come up and demonstrate for everyone..."

With that, without waiting for Professor Lupin's consent, Snape's gaze locked on Harry.

"Potter...the legendary saviour. I think everyone is curious about how you defeated the Dark Lord... am I right?"

Snape looked at Harry with scorn in his eyes. "You shouldn't mind showing us, should you?"

Harry's face flushed red with anger.

Snape's gaze shifted, and he looked at Malfoy and said, "Malfoy, you are Potter's opponent!"

Malfoy took a step forward, flanked by his two followers, and looked at Harry and said, "Potter, are you scared?"

"Malfoy!"

Harry said with clenched teeth, "Don't cry later."

Malfoy laughed arrogantly on hearing this.

On the side, Professor Lupin felt a little helpless.

Snape is too wilful!

But at this point in the lesson, it is indeed necessary to find two students to demonstrate for everyone.

With a demonstration, he can then better guide the other students.

Well, they are a good choice for this as well…

"Alright, Potter and Malfoy, if you two are willing to demonstrate for everyone... please come up on stage!"

Professor Lupin did not want to embarrass Snape, so he spoke soothingly, "Remember what I just said: a calm mind is essential. You must believe in yourself when casting the spell and not let your surroundings affect you."

Malfoy stepped onto the stage first, giving Harry a provocative smile, "Come on up, Potter!"

Harry walked onto the stage without fear.

As he passed Professor Lupin, the professor patted Harry on the shoulder and whispered, "Be careful!"

"Don't worry, Professor," Harry said confidently.

Harry was not the same Harry as before.

During the recent Christmas holidays, Harry had been training in duelling with Sirius.

Although Harry had lost to Peter Pettigrew before, his ability could not be denied.

He did have some talent in duelling.

"Andy..."

Ron approached him after Harry had gone up onto the stage.

At that moment, he asked with a worried face, "Do you think Harry can win? I have a bad feeling about this..."

"Probably," Andy said in a light tone.

Andy had seen Harry's strength.

Last time at the cemetery, Harry and Voldemort had been evenly matched.

But you can't judge his strength based on that.

So Andy was also curious about how far Harry could fight against an ordinary wizard.

In the duelling stage, Harry and Malfoy had already started duelling.

Unlike the chickens pecking at each other most imagined, the third-year wizards already had a certain amount of control over their magic. Generally speaking, after reaching the third year, young wizards would mature quickly.

Harry's fighting tactics were quite methodical, and it was clear that Sirius's special training had been very effective.

On the contrary, Malfoy was a bit unexpected.

His performance was excellent, and he was able to fight Harry back and forth, not losing any ground for a while.

'He must have gotten some private training at home,' Andy thought.

But on second thought, it wasn't really that surprising.

Given the current situation of the Malfoy family, Lucius Malfoy had every reason to give his son special training—although it didn't help much.

Andy watched for a while.

'What a surprise...'

Andy's eyes gleamed as he thought about many things.

Harry's strength could indeed be considered outstanding among the group of young wizards. Besides Andy and Hermione, Harry and Malfoy should be the strongest in the third year.

However, with such strength... Harry was actually holding his own against Voldemort, which was truly just pure self-restraint.

"Magic..."

Andy muttered, "It's really fascinating."

At this moment, Andy was completely convinced that if Voldemort had not used Harry's blood to complete the resurrection ritual, then he could have killed Harry.

As long as he can wait until Lily's protective magic wears off, Harry will be vulnerable in front of Voldemort.

In that case, there would be no stalemate at all!

But now... by using Harry's blood to complete his resurrection, Voldemort may have weakened the protective charm, but he has also extended its duration.

And that duration... is likely to be a lifetime!

There may be some other effects in play here that Andy is not aware of.

'Is this what Dumbledore was aiming for?'

Andy thought to himself. 'Voldemort... is truly being played like a fiddle.'

According to the prophecy, only one can live between Harry and Voldemort.

It is also certain that one will kill the other!

This is set in stone in the prophecy.

In other words, if the prophecy cannot be changed... then it is fated that no one can kill Harry before Voldemort dies.

Harry can only die at the hands of Voldemort!

Lily's protection spell can only protect Harry until he reaches adulthood.

And there's also a line in the prophecy that says Harry has a power Voldemort doesn't know about!

And Dumbledore is using this 'unknown' to gradually corner Voldemort.

Yes, in Andy's opinion, Voldemort is now in a corner.

The only difference is whether the victory that follows will be a complete victory, a great victory, or a miserable victory.

'It's a bit scary!'

If Andy found himself in Voldemort's position, he would probably be terrified at the moment, too.

The battle at the cemetery was so strange!

Just as Andy was pondering, the two men on the stage had already decided the outcome.

Harry had won.

However, he had also been hit by a jinx launched by Malfoy.

Snape seemed to be in a good mood at the moment.

It didn't matter if Harry won or not; as long as he suffered from a jinx, Snape would be happy.

Next, Professor Lupin continued to host the Duelling Club. He divided the young wizards into four groups, and they took turns going up to the stage to duel in pairs.

He and Snape were each in charge of a group, and Andy and Professor Flitwick were also dragged in to be the tools, in charge of one ring.

The young wizards were in high spirits.

And Andy gained some eye-opening experiences.

At first, the young wizards followed Professor Lupin's instructions and fought in a disciplined manner.

But they soon realised that this kind of duel was boring.

So the young wizards showed Andy what 'a hundred flowers blooming' in magic looks like.

If it wasn't for this Duelling Club, Andy wouldn't even have known that these young wizards had mastered so many interesting hexes and jinxes.

Where did they learn all this?
