HOGWARTS IN DETECTIVE COMICS

Chapter 13: [ Chapter IV (4): "BRUCE WAYNE" ]

[ Chapter IV (4): "BRUCE WAYNE" ]

[ "Bruce!" ]

Mr. and Mrs. Wayne have always been considered entrepreneurs and philanthropist all-throughout Gotham City. The most corrupt city of the world, yet that didn't stop them from doing good, even though it has the chance to cost them their lives.

Bruce Wayne, the young dark haired blue-eyed boy have always been proud of his father who is about to run for president, and his mother who owns multiple chains of hospitals in Gotham City, Metropolis, Star, and other cities.

Both of them being a pride and joy to him, he is after all their child. But to them, weirdly enough he is their pride and joy, one that Bruce can't understand still up to this day.

[ "D-dad?!" ]

Even now, when a gun is pointed at him, he's mother and father proudly stands before him to shield him from the possible harm that could befall him.

Looking up to his father, he could see him trembling slightly. Then to his side is her mother who's hugging him, also trembling, worried not for her safety, but for Bruce's.

[ "M-mom?" ]

[ "Don't worry baby, everything's gonna be alright." ]

Under the watchful eye of a gun pointed at them, in an alleyway they don't know off, having come out of the theatre. All three of the Wayne's felt scared, as the pistol moved erratically from side-to-side.

[ "M-money, g-give me money! NOW!" ]

The man hidden by the shadows could clearly be seen shaken up, not wanting to kill, but also seemingly out of his mind. Wanting only one thing, money.

And in seeing an easy lick. Seeing a harmless man, a lady, and a young boy that doesn't look like he's above 11 — the man, named Joe Chill pulled out his gun. Having been high from drugs.

Not wanting to hurt anyone, but also being annoyed in seeing the rich in front of him. The rich people, the one above that mocks them, and hordes all the money — he doesn't want to hurt anyone, but the itch in his fingers seems to get worse and worse by the minute he looks at them.

[ "WHERE IS THE MONEY!" ]

The robber asked, in which was responded by the patriach of the Wayne with him having thrown his wallet to the floor near the man.

[ "There, leave us. Please." ]

The man was satisfied, the robber, Joe, he licked his lips as he noticed the fatness of the brown leathered wallet right in front of him.

He was about to reach out for the wallet, but his warriness, and delusional mind seems to play tricks in him. As his reddening eyes envisioned that something was wrong. Sirence!

He could hear sirens not far from here, surrounding him. A gun being pointed at the back of his head causing him to look widely behind him, seeing no one, except for a stack of trash, and rats moving around.

Still feeling like thousands of eyes is looking at him, the man, erratically looks around. [ "No..." ] Not seemingly finding anything, but still feeling something. Something was wrong.

His eyes landed on the family of three who's slowly backing away, his eyes landed on the clean shaven face of the patriach. Then at the lady who's clutching a hand bag, a pearl around her neck. Then ultimately at the boy.

At the boy who's smiling at him in his twisted mind. But in reality is looking up at him in pity. But in his mind, the blue in his eyes shines like diamonds, before ultimately drowning him in such diamonds, riches.

He recognizes those eyes, those blue eyes. Wait, isn't this Mr. Bruce Wayne himself? The sole heir of the Wayne Enterprises, THAT billionaire kid? Then that means...

He pointed his gun up, smiling, he could clearly see it for a moment. If you we're to ignore their mocking smiles, or their appearance that looks exquisite, you would easily recognize them.

The Wayne's...

Aren't they rich?!

You think I'll settle for pennies, if what I have right in front of me is a gold min- no, no, not just a gold mine but instead a diamond mine. Yes! Diamond mine!

Hell no, he wouldn't settle with anything less than a billion dollars at this point.

That necklace...

[ "Give that to me, that necklace..." ]

[ "QUICK!" ]

The man in front of Bruce, who seems out of his mind couldn't help but lick his lips as he notices the valuable pearl necklace of her mother. A gift that came from his father, a year back if Bruce's memories doesn't serve him wrong.

Mrs. Wayne, his mother, only uses it on special occasions. Like today, and she values it above many things — her mother is after all, not fond of jewelry, except for that one.

So the slight reluctance of hers in taking it off caught the robber off guard. In hearing him scream, she instinctively shivers slightly as she tried to fiddle with the strings behind her neck.

Mr. Wayne, his father, noticing the panic in his wife's eyes quickly came behind her and helped her. Silently moving Bruce at the back farthest to the gun as possible, as he encourages his wife.

[ "E-everything's gonna be alright dear... I promise..." ]

Both of them looks at one another's eyes and noticed the worry in them, not for their well-being, but for their one and only boy who's only 11 this year. And they couldn't help but imagine him being an orphan.

Christ knows that they wouldn't let it happen.

All the while this scene is happening, Bruce who's frozen couldn't help but stare worriedly at the man, at the robber who has a gun pointed at his mother. His worry for her well-being, and for his father's to skyrocket as he silently drops a tear.

The boy trying to straighten his back, but not being able to do such act. He reluctantly tries to speak up, but no voice seems to come out of his lips. He tries to steady his gaze, his breathing, his shaky legs, but all seems to defy him — he hates this feeling of hopelessness.

But the boy not knowing any kung fu, secret technique, or having a gun in his pocket couldn't do a thing. As he insteads looks at the man, wishing that he'll just disappear, or that some miracle happens at this exact moment.

He looks at his scared mother, and father who's trying to put on a brave front, who's untying his mother's pearly necklace — but failing no matter what he does, as a last resort, he forcefully broke it apart, careful in not dropping any.

His eyes then scanned the man, who's impatient. Thoughts unknown to the young boy as the man taps his feet, licking his lips as he does so. At this moment, young Bruce have never felt so scared before. Wishing in the stars, he wishes that someone would save them...

P-please... Hel-help us, s-somebody...!

[ "Isn't this quite fun..." ]

He heard a loud cracking noise not far away from where he was standing, followed by someone's voice ringing in his ear, this one rough, but weirdly light in an almost comical tone.

The voice not belonging to his, or to his mother, or to his father, or to the robber as all of them looks at where it came from...

At above.

[ "B-batma-?!" ]

[ "Stupefy!" ] Right in front of the young boy's eyes, a green light shot out from the air seemingly from the heavens and landing not far away from him and his awestruck parents.

The mysterious green light hitting the crazy man who threatened his parents, and him at gun point. The same man who made his mother cry, and in that, he wouldn't be able to forgive the man.

And before any of them could process it, the man seems to lose conscious before ultimately falling on the ground.

W-what's happening.

[ "W-what's happening?!" ]
