228. The final exam is finally here
As June approaches, the weather becomes muggy and cloudless, with bright sunshine streaming in through the windows.
Everyone longs to go for a walk outside, take a few pints of ice-cold pumpkin juice, lie down on the grass, and laze away the day, but they can't do that.
As the exam approaches, the students have to stay in the dark castle, resist the temptation, force their brains to work hard, and finish the mountain of notes in front of them.
I heard that Hermione's notebooks sold for a good price in the second grade, and even Malfoy bought a copy, although he insisted that it was Daphne's notebook; while Ron laughed, he also felt the crisis, if everyone was equipped Hermione notes, they have no advantage.
If there is no progress, forget it. If the performance declines, you will be beaten by a mixed doubles team.
Everyone was reviewing like crazy, but this year's Transfiguration test questions were still so difficult that the students collapsed.
Looking at the pile of slippers that bounced around and still maintained the habit of rabbits, Professor McGonagall's expression became more and more gloomy. The second-year students could only walk out of the examination room dejectedly, feeling that they would be scolded later, and they could not talk to McGonagall. The professor explained why his performance was so poor after only one year.
Saying that Hermione helped them last year would only make the professor angrier.
In the class, only Hermione, Harry and Elaine's slippers did not jump. The others shook at least a few times. Some people's slippers jumped on one foot, and some people's slippers on both feet. Compare with other students. Yes, Elaine thinks the fluffy white rabbit slippers she turned into are pretty good, at least they can't jump.
Who stipulates that slippers turned into rabbits cannot have white hair, long ears and rabbit faces? That’s called decoration.
Next up is the History of Magic exam
Charms Astronomy Potions
Everyone was exhausted, but the final big devil finally came.
Friday and Saturday, Defense Against the Dark Arts exam.
Many people got up early and hurried to the restaurant. There was a bucket on the teacher's desk, waiting for everyone to come forward to draw their opponents. There were also several professors who were using floating spells to transport several thick and long special stone pillars.
They placed the stone pillars next to the wall and drew patterns on them with wands. With a brush, the two stone pillars lit up, and a faint film appeared between them, reflecting the appearance of the entrance courtyard.
Elaine looked at the thing curiously, it looked a bit like an outdoor movie, but it should be considered a kind of surveillance magic, it just magnified the image.
From the film, Elaine could see Adair standing with the O.W.L examiner. Although Adair said he would not give written examinations, the students who wanted to take the O.W.L and O.W.L still had to pass the written examination questions issued by the Ministry of Magic before accepting the current Practical exam.
I don’t know if it was due to the influence of the Shafiq family, but this time the practical examiner actually did not set any questions, but directly changed the points to the actual combat competition hosted by Adair, which made the candidates wide-eyed.
Fortunately, O.W.L candidates can also choose to take the practical test from the Ministry of Magic examiners, but I heard that there will be extra points if you choose to take the practical test, so the candidates hesitated for a while.
Anyway, the exam finally started, and Elaine looked at the restaurant screen silently.
The combat prowess of the students at Hogwarts is pretty good. I wonder if it was forced out by Adair. Almost all the students in fifth grade and above started to use silent spells. This surprised the examiners. Elaine observed that they were very approval.
Of course, there are still students who are eating and waiting to die, but they are only a minority.
Harry and Elaine did not need to draw lots, and they had to wait until all students had finished before they could take the exam.
It's different for other people
The opponent Ron drew was Penello, the girlfriend of Ravenclaw's prefect Percy.
Daphne's opponent is Percy, the Gryffindor prefect.
Hermione is Gemma, the prefect of Slytherin.
Three junior students were all drawn as prefects. Who would believe that this was not done behind closed doors, but no one dared to question it.
The prefects are also a little embarrassed. Needless to say, Penello, Daphne is very popular in Gryffindor, which makes it difficult for Percy to attack, and Gemma is a rare stable person in Slytherin. As a mixed-race person, she doesn't discriminate against Mugs, and she won't be too harsh on Hermione.
But they were all in sixth grade, and they had a fundamental crushing advantage over the second-year wizards.
Even though Adair shortened the game time, Ron, who was dodging crazily, was still hit by the silent spell and failed at about four minutes.
Daphne was also beaten through the defense by Percy. Even though she managed to delay the five minutes of competition, she fell to the ground and had no energy to stand up, so she was eventually awarded the loss.
The audience felt sorry for Daphne and Ron, but Elaine shook her head.
Adair's heart is too dirty. Even if the prefect is not the best student in the grade, he is at least among the top three. Plus there is a four-year experience gap. How can he possibly win? How can those two people last so long? The other party releases water.
Next is Hermione.
Hermione stepped forward with a pale face, and the moment Adair said it, she immediately attacked, almost hitting Gemma, and everyone's eyes dropped.
Because Ron and Daphne were dodging like crazy just now, trying to delay time or escape, but Hermione didn't. She attacked as soon as she came up, crazy attacks, and her spell casting speed was faster than ordinary students. The beating made Gemma retreat step by step.
But just for the time being, Gemma stood firm, adjusted her rhythm and mentality, and started to defend and counterattack.
She quickly showed off her prefect's skills. Hermione, who was being attacked from both sides, was in a hurry, and finally caught the flaw and hit Hermione in the chest with a stun spell.
Only three minutes had passed when Hermione fell to the ground and all the Gryffindor students in the dining room wailed.
But Elaine just blinked, and Adair raised the corners of his mouth in disdain.
Gemma breathed a sigh of relief and turned around to leave, but she didn't expect that Hermione didn't faint. She used her willpower to resist the effect of the stun spell, fell to the ground and raised her wand to fight back. Hitting Gemma's back, both men eventually fell.
There was no winner, and the game was directly ruled a draw by Adair.
Time passed gradually, and Harry was too nervous to eat, but Elaine watched the others duel with great interest.
Malfoy won the victory from a third-year Hufflepuff. Neville and Goyle fought equally. Other original characters also performed well, especially Ginny, who actually surpassed the level and succeeded in a duel. Won a third year Ravenclaw.
Although Elaine still felt like novices pecking each other, she thought of the movies she had seen in the past, in which Grindelwald faced a large group of opponents alone and moved forward without fear, defending against all spells while constantly moving forward to shorten the distance. He also counterattacked the opponent, that was the real wizard duel.
What I see now is that the quality is too poor.
After all the students finished their duel, it was finally Harry and Elaine's turn. Harry pressed his painful stomach and gritted his teeth and walked to the center of the courtyard.
