Chapter 155: Loyalty and Brotherhood
Later that night Harry fell asleep in Sirius's tent, he was really, really tired. The man that he and Tonks had found was apparently the son of the man who had sent Sirius to Azkaban without a trial, Barty Crouch Sr, that man was now apparently being in brought in for questioning, Sirius didn't have much sympathy for him. Barty Crouch Jr was apparently his son who had joined the death eaters and had supposedly died in Azkaban, it turned out that Barty Sr had actually snuck him out and replaced him with his dying wife who had drunk polyjuice potion and disguised herself as Junior, after that Barty Sr had kept Barty Jr under control with the Imperius curse. The reason Barty Jr was there was because his father knew he loved quidditch and wanted to do something nice for him as a gift to his dead wife.
The two would both be going to Azkaban, Barty Sr still needed to have his trial - 'should just toss him in like he did to me' Sirius had said - but at this point it was pretty much a given that he was going to Azkaban, this unfortunately caused the game to be delayed which upset fans a lot but eventually it was able to happen, most of the people in the room (the British ones at least) would be later called to give a statement about what happened. Harry was sure that this would be in the newspapers quite soon, he could imagine the headline, 'boy-who-lived finds and stops death eater' or some crap like that. Though hopefully Tonks would get the proper amount of credit for it, and after Harry's subtle comments to Fudge, he didn't doubt that she would.
What Harry didn't know was the effect his actions had on Lucius Malfoy, the former death eater had originally been planning to join some of his other 'pardoned death eater' friends and cause some chaos, it would have been a fun little outing, quick and out, but the events of the night changed that. Lucius had become worried because now everyone was on alert, especially the aurors, so he arranged for it to be cancelled, he didn't want to risk getting himself or one of the others caught. But Harry didn't know that, he just peacefully went to sleep.
"Oh, just fuck off time." Was the first thing Tonks said the day that Harry was supposed to go back to Hogwarts, she was very much not happy about the fact that her little brother was leaving, she had really been enjoying her time with him. Especially since the day of the world cup, seeing Harry rip into her ex-boyfriend and then the two of them discovering a death eater together had made them much closer.
"I am going to miss you so much!" Tonks said as she hugged Harry on the platform, "You keep safe!" She told him once she let go.
"I'll do my best." Harry said before he hugged Andromeda and Ted. "I'll miss you all."
"We'll miss you as well, Harry." Ted told him.
"You will remember to send us letters at least once a week." Andromeda spoke, it was not a question, he WOULD be sending those letters.
"I will, promise." Harry smiled at them. "I've got to go now, see ya."
"Bye Harry." Tonks said with a watery smile. "Jet, remember to take care of him." She couldn't help but add.
"So...keep doing what I've been doing then?" Jet asked.
...
"Alright guys?" Harry smiled as he entered the compartment where the other Slytherin's in his year were sat, thankfully the expansion charms on the compartments allowed them all to fit in.
"Hi Harry." Tracey smiled as Harry sat down. "Did you enjoy the world cup?" She asked.
"Loved it." Harry grinned.
"Harry and I were sat in the Minister's box." Draco told them with a smile. "You wouldn't believe it but the Weasley's were there."
"How did they get there? Did they have to sell their house and one of their children?" Pansy asked with disbelief.
"That was my first thought," Draco chuckled. "apparently the head of the family knew Bagman and he was able to get them in. Still, when I got there one of the older Weasels tried to chat up Harry's adopted sister."
"I'm sure that went well." Daphne said in a dry voice as she sent Harry a questioning look.
"The prat was Tonks's ex-boyfriend," Harry replied. "He told the human garbage disposal that she was a slut who would sleep with anyone. Then the redheaded prat sees her at the world cup and thinks he can try and get in her pants again. I 'kindly dissuaded' him from that idea."
"Ha," Draco snorted with amusement. "the Weasel was damn near pissing himself, Harry had him running to a different seat. Even made him call Ron an idiot."
"Really?" Theo laughed.
"I take my entertainment when I can." Harry smiled just before the door opened to reveal Roman who looked towards Harry.
"I...thank you, thank you so much." Roman said with a grateful look on his face.
"If you want to thank me then keep going the way that you've been going, be a good student and a good Slytherin. Now go on, I'm sure your friend is missing you." Harry told him.
"Thank you." Roman said one last time before he nodded and walked away, closing the door as he left.
"What was that about?" Blaise asked once Roman was gone.
"The kid wanted to be my vassal, I offered him an alternative solution." Harry shrugged as he pulled out a book. "During the summer I contacted Lord Black, he's agreed to make the boy a ward of house Black. Starting next summer he'll live with Sirius Black, if Sirius is happy with the idea."
"Why would you make him a ward of house Black?" Tracey asked in a curious voice.
"One reason is because it grants him the protection of house black, you mess with Roman then you mess with house Black. The second reason is because he's already related to house Black through his father's wife." Harry answered. "He's a good guy, doesn't deserve to suffer the rest of his school years because of who he was born from."
"That was nice of you, Harry." Daphne smiled at him, her opinion of him rising even more. "Oh, was it true that you discovered a death eater in the Minister's box?" She asked, remembering what she had read in the newspaper.
"Me and Tonks." Harry nodded.
"I was there," Draco spoke up. "me and my parents were just sitting down when all of a sudden an invisibility cloak flew off one seat and then Barty Crouch Jr was sat there. His father is in so much trouble."
"Yeah," Harry agreed. "he was already in trouble for sending Sirius to Azkaban without a trial, now you can add helping a death eater escape Azkaban and use of an unforgivable. Tonks told me that during interrogations they found out that Sirius wasn't the only person that was sent to Azkaban without a trial."
"Wow." Tracey breathed. "If they don't execute him then I doubt that he'll ever leave Azkaban."
"My pity well is surprisingly dry." Harry responded.
"Hmm, oh are you guys planning to enter?" Draco asked suddenly.
"Enter what?" Pansy asked.
