Chapter 1: Birth
"Congratulations, Mr. Potter. You have twin sons." A woman wearing white uniform informed the man with wild grey hair and hazel eyes, wearing robes that indicated that he was from a well off family.
The man looked at the nurse and asked "That's good, how's my wife? I know that twin pregnancy is difficult and I would like to know if there were any complications."
Smiling at the man, the nurse replied "There were no complications and she was able to give birth the twins."
"Thank Merlin." Mr. Potter muttered under his breath and asked "Can I see them?"
"Certainly, please come inside." Saying so, the nurse led the man inside the room.
When he entered the room he saw his wife laying on the bed with two bundles on her side. With a radiant smile he made beline to his wife and sat down next to her bed and looked at the two boys in the bundle and cooed at them, which earned him a giggle from his wife. Looking up from their sons and looking into those beautiful blue eye's that was matched by the jet black hair, he asked "Are you alright, Euphemia?"
With a mock glare, she replied "Try giving birth to twins Fleamont, that too Potter twins."
"Fair enough." Fleamont told his wife and the two locked their eyes.
A few seconds after the staring contest, both of them started to chuckle with mirth and amusement. As they chuckled away at their own joke, Euphemia asked "So, what are we going to name them? And what about their godparents?"
"Let the eldest be James Fleamont Potter and the youngest be John Charlus Potter. I'm thinking of making Edward Bones and his wife Caitlyn Bones as godparents of James and Charlus and his wife Dorea as John's godparents. What do you think?" Fleamont asked his wife as her opinion is also needed for the future of their children.
Smiling at her husband, Euphemia said "I'm alright with it. Even though I am a half blood, Arcturus had never shown me prejudice and because of that me and Dorea had been inseparable since first year. They saw for who I am and accepted under their wings during my time in Slytherin, while you were a happy go lucky senior Ravenclaw and Charlus the Honourable Gryffindor married the Slytherin Princess. Edward and Caitlyn has been noting but good friends for us from our time at Hogwarts. So, I have no problem with either of the godparents."
Nodding at his wife, Fleamont asked "Should we homeschool them like my parents did with me or should we sent them to muggle school like your parents did with you?"
"If it was only James, I won't mind about homeschooling. But, twins will be a great headache to contain, and that too Potter twins. So, let them have their muggle education, and I say let them decided if they want to continue their muggle studies along with magical." Euphemia said as she picked up James and handed him to Fleamont.
Then taking John in to her hands she told her husband with a smile "But, let's not fret about it now. There is still time for that. After all they were just born."
"True that." Fleamont chuckled at his wife and started to make faces at his newborn son, while Euphemia started to breastfeed John.
While the family was enjoying their time together, the youngest of the family heard a chime in his head followed by series of words that only he could hear and understand.

The youngest Potter looked around after the words spoken by some higher being was finished and started to do analysis of everything that he could see and hear, which blurry and muffled. As he kept his concentration to know where he was and what dangers lurked around, he was able to sent out a miniscule amount of magic unknowingly and he started to see without seeing, hear with hearing. This accidental magic was gone unnoticed by the parents, the staff of the hospital that they were in, the equipments in the Ministry for Magic that detected accidental magic and only the Quill of Acceptance was able to detect that subtle magic performed by John, but the Book of Admittance that was locked away in the Small Tower at Hogwarts closed itself as the Quill was about to write down John's name.
Back in the hospital room, Fleamont had left to inform the godparents of children about their birth. Since he didn't want inform anyone of their birth because of secretive nature of the Potter's when it comes to family, he had admitted his wife in a muggle hospital. Just as he went outside the room, he was met with a man that looked like a slightly younger version of himself and a aristocratic looking woman with dark black hair and light grey eyes. Seeing them, he smiled and went ahead and hugged the younger mand and told them both "The three of them are safe."
"Three?" The confused woman asked Fleamont.
Smiling at her as he held the younger man on his shoulders, Fleamont said "Yes,Dorea three. My wife Euphemia and our twin sons, all three of them are safe."
At that revelation, their eyes widened in surprise and the women Dorea only smiled at news but the man was giving out the perfect example of a goldfish.
Still grinning at them, Fleamont asked them "Charlus, Dorea, do you want to know their names?"
Charlus, the man who was giving out the imitation of gold fish replied after he calmed down said "Sure brother, we want to know."
"The eldest is James Fleamont Potter and the youngest is John Charlus Potter." Fleamont told his brother and sister in law with a small smile on his face.
Hearing that news, both of them had tears in their eyes and Charlus hugged his brother fiercely while muttering out thanks and Dorea took out a hanky from her robes and dabbed it on her eyes to wipe the tears.
Patting his brother, Fleamont said "I know what happened during the war and how much you two have tried and failed at every endeavor. So, as an elder brother, and your Head of the House, I'm asking, would you be willing to be godparents of my youngest son John?"
"Yes, brother. We will be honoured to be his godparents." Charlus told his elder brother as tears dropped off from his eyes, while Dorea was standing next to them with tears flowing out uncontrollably.
Smiling at them, he said "Go inside and look after our family. I'm going to inform the Bones about their appointment as James godparents."
"Sure brother. We will make sure that nothing ill found will happen to our family." Dorea said with a determined voice and resolute face.
Nodding at them with a grin he said "Now there's the women who got into heart of the man known as Butcher of Walpurgis. Never change sister, never change."
Patting Dorea on her head, Fleamont walked away from them and when he disappeared from their sight, Dorea said "I still can't fathom why he had accepted me as his sister."
Looking at her like she have gone barmy, Charlus said "You know that he and your brother was like thick friends and he always wanted a sister."
Shooting him a glare that contained no malice, Dorea said "I know that and I see him like one of my elder brothers and one of whom have the permission to still treat me as a little sister."
Shrugging his shoulder, he changed the subject that he was sure that she would like "How about we go in and see elder sister our nephews?"
Beaming at him, Dorea said "Let's do that."
Charlus held out his hand and Dorea took her husbands hand and went inside the room where the new addition to their family were resting. When they went inside they saw Euphemia looking down at her sons with adoration and love. She sensed them coming and looked up at them with a smile and said "Come here and see your nephew and godson."
Dorea went first and Charlus trailed behind his wife so that she could have her own moment while thinking 'It's for the best that leave the two alone for some time. I don't want to get the ire of two women on hormones.' Looking at the content smile on his wife's face as she held their godson John, Charlus thought to himself 'The war took away our ability to give birth, and that had been weighing down on her ever since we were informed about our inability. I hope that, John will be able to fill the hole in our hearts.'
