Global Awakening: Apocalypse Ender's Chronicle

Chapter 530: Tundra's Will

The explosion reverberated throughout the Dreadmaw's body, blasting away chunks of its flesh. For the first time, the monstrous zombie let out a pained screech.

However, it wasn't enough to kill the Zombie. It did not fall and glared angrily at their group…

"Tsk… Even after ten bombs, it's still standing." Tundra muttered in frustration.

"Damn it! This thing is built different!" Atlas cursed, leaping back as one of Dreadmaw's massive fists cratered the ground where he stood.

Bam!

Tundra frowned, as he felt the toll of his talent. His Spirit Points were draining fast. Those 10 bombs contained about 1,000 Spirit Points already…

"I have to recover my Spirit Points." Tundra reminded everyone as he took out a set of Mid-Grade Spirit Sontes to recover quickly

"How many bombs do you think it'll take to take this down?" Alaric asked as he sliced at Dreadmaw's side, only to be deflected by its tough skin.

Tundra narrowed his eyes as he calculated "...At least eighty or more."

The entire team froze for a split second.

"Eighty!?" Seraph's voice rose.

"Then let's keep going. We can't waste any more time. It would be a good thing if your calculation is wrong. We'll be helping damage it anyway…" Chaloem said as he stepped forward. This was definitely a challenging battle for him.

Tundra then backed away as he swiftly recovered his energy. He planned to at least plant 20 more bombs to heavily injure the Zombie Lord.

'If I get a decent loot here… I'll exchange it for Spirit Breakthrough Potions. Shane should have some of them in his stocks.' Tundra thought for a moment.

After all, what he was lacking right now was his supply of Spirit Points.

With less than 1,500 points, he couldn't really do much.

In any case, after recovering for a bit, Tundra started to work using his teammates' attacks as cover to plant more bombs.

Atlas kept Dreadmaw's left side occupied while Seraph and Alaric tanked its powerful strikes from all four of its arms. Chaloem, on the other hand, aimed for weak spots, continuously keeping it off-balance.

Tundra could feel his Spirit Points dwindling once again, so he immediately retreated.

He ripped open a pouch and pulled out more Spirit Stones, crushing them in his palm. It wasn't the best method to absorb Spirit Points since there would be some Spirit Points he would fail to absorb but he was in a hurry.

Furthermore, he had plenty of Spirit Points in his pouch so he couldn't care less at this point. After all, he was also worried that his companions might make a mistake…

Soon…

The pure energy or Spirit Points flowed into his body, replenishing his energy.

Then he rushed back in.

By the time Tundra planted his fiftieth bomb, the plaza was already in ruins.

Craters and shattered stones had covered the area. Everyone else was also getting exhausted. There were already dozens of broken Safety Protection Tokens, ripped Talismans, broken Shields and Swords, including various potions battles on the ground.

Their resources were being consumed every minute. Tundra was sure that the Tokens and Talisman they had were already reaching their limit.

At this time, the Dreadmaw still stood, though its body was already riddled with deep wounds and missing flesh. One of its four arms was even missing! Read exclusive content at My Virtual Library Empire

Tundra then gave a sign to his team of what he was about to do and they all swiftly backed away…

"NOW!" Seraph shouted… She was really hoping that this was the end of it.

Without any hesitation, Tundra triggered all his bombs all at once.

BOOOOOOOOOM!

The explosion occurred all over the Dreadmaw's body! It was instantly engulfed in flames and smoke. Of course,, the entire plaza trembled from the force of the detonation, sending dust and debris flying in all directions. The others had to find hiding places if they couldn't activate their Aura Sentinel Token.

Tundra staggered back as he breathed heavily. At this point, his body was trembling from the sheer strain of placing numerous bombs. He had never done this before after all.

Silence fell.

Atlas fell onto one knee as he inspected his heavily damaged boots. After seeing a hole in it, he knew that it already needed to be repaired.

Seraph, Alaric, and the other Aura Knights, on the other hand, were in their defensive position.

"We did it…" One of the Aura Knights muttered after sensing no movements from the Zombie Lord.

It was over. Even if it was still alive, it would probably just need a poke to kill it.

Unfortunately, just a moment after saying this, a movement from the smoke was noticed by everyone..

"Impossible! It's still alive after all of that?!"

Tundra's blood ran cold.

Crash… Crash…

From within the ruins of its own broken body, something emerged.

"No way…" Atlas muttered in disbelief.

The dust began to clear.

And there it was. The true body of the Dreadmaw. It was smaller and filled with red flesh!

This new Dreadmaw may be smaller but it definitely looked a lot stronger!

This time, it only had two arms and was as tall as a human being.

"Incredible… It's like one of the Flesh Puker Variant." Tundra commented in his mind after recalling the information about the various Zombies.

Then, to everyone's shock, its broken pieces of armored skin began pulling themselves back together to form a smaller armor of skin!

It happened so quickly that they were unable to react. In just a few seconds, the smaller Dreadmaw was able to form a new armored body.

"This thing… it's still alive?!" Alaric cursed, raising his sword again.

"Careful…" Tundra warned as he took another set of Spirit Stones to recover his missing Spirit Points.

Dreadmaw's milky white eyes snapped open, now glowing with a furious red light. It let out a piercing, guttural roar, sending a shockwave through the already ruined plaza.

Seraph barely blocked a swipe from the creature's arm, but the impact sent her flying across the plaza.

Alaric and the other Aura Knights rushed to hold the front lines, but they were already fatigued and wounded. They also didn't last that long.

Tundra clenched his fists. Their injuries were bad. They wouldn't last long at this rate.

"Damn it… what do we do?!" Seraph frowned as she gritted her teeth, her energy reserves nearly depleted at this point.

They had nothing left.

Then, Tundra had an idea.

Tundra quickly accessed his System Inventory.

If this thing was regenerating through eating… then why not give it something to focus on?

With a flick of his wrist, Tundra activated his storage function and materialized something absurdly massive.

A literal mountain of meat appeared in the middle of the battlefield.

Bam!

The sheer weight of it shook the earth.

A massive pile of monster flesh, raw meat, and even some Zombie Blood—all from the countless creatures Tundra had looted in his past hunts.

Dreadmaw's movements halted. Instead of capturing Seraph and taking a bit out of her, it turned to Tundra's direction!

The creature sniffed the air before its four mandibles clicked open in anticipation.

Then, in an instant, it pounced on the mountain of meat!

It even moved faster than before! It was definitely hungry!

The Dreadmaw tore into the mountain of meat, devouring a lot of them in just a few moments!

It was working.

The others looked on, stunned.

"Did… Did he just feed it?!" Atlas blinked in disbelief. Since the Zombie Lord regenerates when eating, all their hardwork would just be for naught!

"It's regenerating while eating! This is insane!" Alaric shouted to remind Tundra!

But Tundra had no intention of letting it recover for free.

This was his chance.

Tundra took a deep breath, activating every buff he had left. Spirit surged through his body.

His eyes locked on Dreadmaw.

"Keep it distracted." He said to everyone…

Since it was busy eating, they had to take this opportunity!

Seraph, despite her injuries, understood immediately. She raised her shield and slammed it against the ground, releasing a bright flash…

Alaric and the others followed, sending waves of energy, projectiles, and ranged attacks to injure the Dreadmaw just enough to focus its attention firmly on its meal.

In short, while it was recovering, it was also receiving injuries from them, slowing its recovery!

Meanwhile, Tundra rushed in.

One bomb.

Two bombs.

Three. Four. Five…

He dashed around Dreadmaw, planting bomb after bomb directly onto its head. He was moving and touching it as lightly as possible. He was moving just like a wind breeze at this point!

Ten. Twenty. Thirty…

His hands continued to move… He wasn't stopping this time. He was actually replenishing his Spirit Points while doing all of this using potions, spirit stones, and other resources he could use.

Forty. Fifty. Sixty.

The meat pile was shrinking fast. Dreadmaw was already halfway through it.

Seventy bombs.

Tundra gritted his teeth, pushing past his limit.

"COME ON!"

Eighty bombs.

Ninety bombs.

Then, at last—

One Hundred.
