Global Awakening: Apocalypse Ender's Chronicle

Chapter 425: The Zombie Wave ( 8 )

No matter what, the one in front of him was a leader of the huge Clan that was able to enter the top 20 in the whole continent.

This person must have a few tricks to save his life, just like he had a dozen ways to stay alive even after being chased by the administrators.

Statham then looked at the man with amusement.

"My minions are more than enough to deal with you."

As he said this, Raidon became more infuriated as he could only switch his focus on the remaining Thralls and Blood Slaves, who were stopping his subordinates from healing themselves.

Thankfully, however, his Spirit Recovery Pill was slowly recovering and after some time, he was able to use some of his lightning spells as he attempted to kill the Vampire Lord.

After all, he believed that if their leader died, the summons he made would definitely die. It was a pity that this leader was so cowardly and just continued to watch from a distance.

'That Blood Drain finally stopped. However, we're already at our limit.' Raidon thought as he saw the pale faces of his members.

He could already feel it.

'We're about to die…' He gritted his teeth as the options he had were dwindling.

They had ways of dealing with the Zombie Hordes since they had several items like Zombie Lures and other baits they could use to control their movement. After all, most Zombies were still moving on their instinct.

It means that it was possible to bring them to their traps or gather them in order to eliminate them in one go with their leader's wide area Skills.

However, such things weren't possible with these minions controlled by the Vampire Lord.

In the end, Raidon had to use his remaining trump card and that was by using the Talismans he obtained as a reward in the Boss Raid Event!

"I don't care anymore… We might die in the next Zombie Horde, but I can't think of any other method to survive against these Vampires.

These two Talismans allowed him to summon one Armored Tyrant Zombie each!

Rooaar!

This Talisman didn't consume his Spirit Points to summon them; instead, 2,000 Experience Points were consumed each!

Because of this, Raidon's Level immediately dropped by one. It was a terrible feeling, but he had no other choice if he wanted to survive.

"The Armored Tyrants! It's here!"

"The Leader summoned it this early!"

"We're definitely in a bad position… But this changes everything!"

"Don't get in the way of the Tyrants! Just fight alongside them!"

"We're going to win this!"

The members of the Clan were immediately invigorated by the sudden appearance of the two Armored Tyrants. Those recruits who had never seen them in the Boss Raid Event were scared at first, but as soon as they heard their companions cheering, they realized that it was their leader's last resort in hopes of defeating the Vampires.

"Hoo~ I knew it… You're still keeping that until the end, huh…" Statham smirked as he saw the appearance of the two Armored Tyrant Zombies. They were definitely creatures that his minions would have a hard time dealing with.

After all, the Zombies' blood was contaminated, and there were basically no benefits when it was consumed or drained by the Vampires. Biting or scratching them wouldn't work either, unlike humans with flesh and blood.

For a moment, the Thunder Tribe continued to push back. Even as the vampires and thralls pressed harder, with the two Armored Tyrant helping them, the momentum had definitely changed.

Nonetheless, with all the blood Statham had gathered just now, he only needed a few minutes to form this blood into floating Blood Spears!

Soon, a total of six blood spears were formed and as Armored Tyrant Zombies continued crushing his minions, the spears slowly rotated until it spun incredibly fast that they seemed to have formed a tornado…

Seeing that the Blood Spears were ready, Statham finally released them!

Swoosh! Swoosh!

Three Blood Spears were thrown on each Armored Tyrant Zombie!

Thud! Thud! Thud!

"This…" Raidon was shocked as he had not seen those Blood Spears come at all!

He only realized what had happened as soon as the spears struck the Zombies he summoned! These Spears may have failed to pass through the body of the Zombie, but they were able to pierce deep enough to pierce their brain!

Of course, with the vitality of the Zombies, they were still able to move for some time even if their brains were pierced.

In the end, they managed to kill a few more Vampires before they finally collapsed to the ground. Nonetheless, it was a good thing that those terrifying Blood Spears were used on those Zombies rather than the key figures of their Clan.

"Hmph… It's time to end this…" Statham muttered as he soon detected the presence of the next Zombie Horde approaching. It seemed that he had wasted a lot of time here.

The Thunder Tribe's defenses were already in ruins, their strength nearly spent.

He just needs to convert the leaders of the tribe now…

As he thought of this he immediately made his move.

Statham himself appeared behind the weary Clan Leader.

Clack~

Suddenly, Raidon felt his neck bitten!

He didn't notice it at all since his defensive skills had already been canceled with his lack of Spirit Points.

"You..."

This matter didn't last long before his consciousness blurred.

"One down…" Statham muttered as Raidon dropped to the ground. It would take a few more seconds before Raidon's body was fully converted.

Statham, on the other hand, could tell that there was no one who could stop him anymore. Because of their weakened state, they couldn't even think properly about how to protect their bodies from being bitten!

Just like that, Statham converted a total of 15 people from the side of the Thunder Tribe!

"It's over…"

"They got the leader and the rest of the main officers!"

"We're doomed!"

"We have to escape!"

"But to where?!"

The people's eyes were filled with despair. It was also the same time that their fire arrows dwindled. The vampires and thralls pressed in closer, and Statham, the vampire lord, seemed to be planning to take out more of their companions.

There were only about 40 or so people alive, and most of them weren't even combatants.

However, as they were calculating their path to escape, a thunderous roar echoed across the battlefield!

"Enough!!"

The roar alone shook the ground, and this move startled not only the remaining members of the Clan but also the Vampires…

Statham squinted his eyes and looked in the direction where the roar had come from.

From the trees beyond the walls, a group of figures on horseback emerged.

They were cloaked in a similar fashion, so he could tell that this was an organized group. This team was probably from a top-ranking Clan nearby.

Blue and Red… It was the color of their cloak, and they seemed to possess powerful auras around them.

After sensing it carefully, Statham felt the draconic aura around them…

Apparently, at the lead of this group was Travis Troy, leader of the Drakeheart Vanguard and one of the famous Survivors because of his unusual activity in the Regional Chat, where he seemed to be online 24/7.
Experience tales at empire

Many of them guessed that it was his Survivor Skill or that he actually had another Clone Talent that allowed him to have someone to keep an eye on the Chat.

As a matter of fact, many of them guessed that Travis had a total of 4 Clones since, aside from being online most of the time, he was also active in hunting Zombies in various places.

Nonetheless, only his close aides could probably tell the truth about these rumors.

"So it's him…" Statham gravely muttered.

The person that had just appeared was someone he didn't want to fight just yet.

Yes, turning him into a Vampire would benefit him, but that was too risky.

Travis was known across the region for his unmatched physical strength due to his legendary bloodline—the blood of a true dragon coursed through his veins.

His eyes gleamed like gold as he charged toward the horde of vampires…

He was also with his steed, which bore the unmistakable scales of dragonkin!

Furthermore, this draconic essence could also be felt with the nine elite warriors behind him… And just like him, they were riding with a dragon-blooded horse and wielding weapons infused with Spiritual Power…

"Hmm… I guess I had more than enough… It's time to leave." Statham muttered as he looked at the 15 new and more talented Vampires he obtained before he disappeared into the darkness…

As soon as he vanished, the rain that was threatening to pour all this time had finally fallen.

Whooshh~

The rhythmic patter of rain pouring onto the leaves and rooftops filled the air, creating a soothing backdrop.

However, that tranquility was soon replaced by the groans of an approaching horde of zombies.
