Chapter 58: Villain Simulator, Ch 234
"No… absolutely not!"
Ganyu's voice seemed a little shy as she said, "Didn't we agree earlier? Only if you meet my requirements during training can you… You can't just keep pushing for more."
"But I worked so hard to advance today," Lucas rarely whined, "Shouldn't I get at least a little reward?"
"A little reward?" Ganyu snorted softly. "Liar. Every time we set a timeframe, you always exceed it. If I loosen up now, who knows how much longer you'll drag it out?"
In truth, Ganyu had gradually become accustomed to the mischief she and Lucas engaged in without even realizing it.
However, her inherently dignified nature demanded that she maintain a certain level of restraint.
After all, she was a Qixing emissary, a semi-divine being. How could she just give in whenever he wanted?
No, absolutely not!
Ganyu resolved firmly not to indulge Lucas endlessly. Otherwise, one day… she might truly cross the line.
"Fine then…"
Lucas's voice carried a hint of disappointment as he said faintly, "I understand. Rest early."
After speaking, Ganyu heard the soft sound of fabric brushing against something. Glancing sideways, she saw that Lucas had turned his back to her.
For some reason, Ganyu felt a sudden pang of guilt.
Could it be that she was being too harsh?
Indeed, Lucas had worked so hard, all for her sake.
And yet, she was so selfish, refusing even such a small request.
Thinking this, Ganyu asked softly, "Are you… upset?"
Lucas didn't answer immediately. After a few minutes of silence, he said heavily, "No… Just get some rest."
"You obviously are…" Ganyu sighed, saying, "I was wrong earlier. Lucas works so hard, so tirelessly. You really do deserve a little reward."
However, what Ganyu didn't know was that at that moment, Lucas, still facing away from her, could hardly contain the grin on his face.
It seemed that his strategy of "feigning withdrawal to gain the upper hand" had worked quite well. With Ganyu's personality, there was no way she could ignore him sulking.
"So… this is what you said, okay?" Lucas finally turned around, gazing into Ganyu's eyes as the corners of his mouth lifted uncontrollably. "I knew it. You wouldn't let me feel wronged."
"You!"
Seeing how quickly Lucas's expression changed, Ganyu immediately realized she had been duped. Yet, she wasn't angry. Instead, she shot him a gentle glare and blushed before slowly slipping under the covers.
Lucas leaned in, his lips brushing softly against hers in a gentle kiss. Ganyu's heart raced, her body melting into his as she kissed him back, wrapping her arms around his neck. The kiss deepened, their tongues dancing together as they explored each other's mouths. Lucas savored the sweetness of Ganyu's lips, feeling a rush of desire wash over him.
The sound of slurping echoed in the room.
He moved closer, his hands lifting the hem of her nightgown to reveal her smooth, pale skin. His touch was both tender and firm, sending shivers down her spine. Ganyu's breath hitched, her heart racing as she felt his warm mouth envelop one of her nipples.
A soft moan slipped from her lips as Lucas began to suck gently, his tongue teasing the sensitive nipple. He cupped her other breast, his thumb circling the nipple, sending waves of pleasure coursing through her. Ganyu's hands found their way to his hair, her fingers tangling in the soft strands as she pulled him closer.
Lucas continued his tender exploration, his mouth and hands working together to drive Ganyu wild and suck her coconut milk...
At the Jade Chamber
"So, what exactly happened today?" Ningguang frowned slightly as she looked at Yelan, who wore a casual smile. "You almost missed the deadline, which is unlike you."
"There was just a small hiccup," Yelan chuckled. "Besides, I made it in time in the end, didn't I?"
"I'll let that slide," Ningguang shook her head. "But the amount you reported—only 40 million Mora—doesn't match your abilities."
Ningguang trusted Yelan's skills. With her cautious nature, she would have made at least 70 or 80 million Mora before stopping.
"It was originally 80 million," Yelan said nonchalantly. "But I lost half of it later."
Yelan told a small lie. Half? She had lost everything, including herself.
"You lost?" Ningguang was surprised. "You, of all people, losing?"
"My dear Tianquan, who gambles and never loses?" Yelan shrugged. "Though I must admit, that Lucas fellow is quite skilled."
"No wonder his final earnings were 60 million Mora," Ningguang murmured thoughtfully. "Ganyu certainly didn't choose poorly."
"Ganyu?" Yelan asked, puzzled. "What does this have to do with her?"
Realizing she had almost revealed a sensitive matter between Ganyu and Lucas, Ningguang quickly covered her tracks. "Ah… well, aside from Keqing, Ganyu had also recommended him previously."
Given Yelan's sharp understanding of Ningguang's character, she instantly sensed there was more to the story. But knowing better than to pry, she changed the subject. "Don't worry. I'll perform better in the next round of the competition."
"Oh?" Ningguang raised an eyebrow. "Are you well-versed in Genius Invokation TCG?"
"I just know the rules," Yelan said with a smile. "But games involving dice are right up my alley."
"This isn't a game you can excel at with luck alone. Don't underestimate it." Ningguang cautioned, "Moreover, according to my intelligence network, some of the competitors might have ties to Snezhnaya."
Ningguang, like Keqing, was concerned about the possibility of Snezhnayan spies infiltrating the Tianshu selection. Displaying a list to Yelan, she said, "These are the suspects."
Yelan scanned the names quickly and furrowed her brows. "Zhiyi? Why is he on the list? From what I know, he's one of Tianshu's most trusted disciples and has been under his tutelage for at least a decade."
"Even a sliver of suspicion cannot be overlooked," Ningguang said coldly. "Snezhnayan spies, semi-divine beings, hidden experts… This Tianshu selection is truly filled with extraordinary individuals."
In the guest hall
Lucas and Shenhe waited patiently for the "Genius Invokation TCG master" that Ganyu had promised to invite.
"Why aren't they here yet?" Shenhe asked impatiently. "Who do you think she'll bring?"
"Knowing Ganyu, she'll likely find someone reliable," Lucas reassured her. "Don't worry. Many competitors are just as unfamiliar with the game as we are. We're all starting on equal footing."
"This is such a hassle," Shenhe grumbled, her expression fierce. "Why play some card game when we could just settle things with a fight? It'd be so much simpler."
"This is the Tianshu selection," Lucas chuckled helplessly. "Not the Crux Clash."
Truthfully, Lucas wished it were a combat competition. That would give him a much greater advantage.
"Excuse me."
At that moment, the doors to the guest hall opened, and a black-haired woman walked in gracefully.
"I'm here to teach you the rules of Genius Invokation TCG," she said softly. "You may call me Zhongli."
