Genshin Impact: Villain Life Sim

Chapter 49: Villain Simulator, Ch 224

Despite Lucas's sudden surge in energy, for Ganyu, it was akin to her "third-grade little brother suddenly becoming a fifth-grade little brother"—an improvement, but not fundamentally different.

However, Lucas's enthusiastic effort brought Ganyu a sense of satisfaction.

It felt akin to a student who was clearly smart but rarely applied themselves suddenly deciding to buckle down, visiting her office daily with questions—a shift that any teacher would find rewarding.

Of course, what Ganyu didn't realize was that Lucas's dedication wasn't for the sake of learning—it was entirely focused on the teacher herself.

"Take this!"

Lucas launched a flurry of punches, his movements swift as the wind. Against an ordinary opponent, he would have appeared as nothing but a blur of shadows. But Ganyu effortlessly parried his blows with a single hand.

Even after three days of training, the gap in their abilities remained insurmountable.

Yet Ganyu failed to anticipate one crucial factor—the terrifying potential of human desire to awaken untapped strength.

Wait... what was that?

Amidst Lucas's rapid punches, a faint pink glow trailed behind his movements, emanating from the strange bracelet on his wrist.

As the glow intensified, so did Lucas's speed. His punches grew faster, sharper—so much so that Ganyu's single-handed defense began to falter.

More than once, her instincts screamed at her to raise her right hand to defend herself, but her rationality held her back.

And Lucas, powered by an unrelenting motivation, was driven by three simple words: five full minutes.

He could still vividly recall the ecstasy of his last three minus request—a memory he found hard to forget. Now, with five minutes on the line, the stakes were even higher.

Though Lucas had, on previous nights, mischievously taken advantage of Ganyu's deep sleep, his actions had always been cautious, constrained by fear of waking her. This time, however, he had no restrictions—a window to do as he pleased.

Faced with Lucas' determined assault, Ganyu couldn't help but feel a creeping doubt: Could she truly last ten minutes?

Then, Lucas suddenly shifted his stance, charging straight at Ganyu's chest in a move she recognized as "Iron Mountain Lean."

Ganyu, a master of Liyue's martial arts, including the devastating Bajiquan style, was no stranger to this technique. Despite her gentle demeanor, her skill in lethal combat forms was unparalleled.

But to her surprise, Lucas not only mimicked her move but seamlessly incorporated it into his style. Unprepared for the maneuver, Ganyu instinctively raised her right hand to block, catching Lucas by the shoulder.

The two froze in place.

After a brief moment, Lucas rotated his shoulder and smiled. "You used your right hand."

"Ah!"

Realizing her mistake, Ganyu instinctively clutched her chest with both hands. Remembering the terms of their wager, however, she slowly lowered them. "I... accept my loss. These five minutes... are yours."

"Really…" Lucas's voice trembled slightly. "I can do anything I want?"

"Mm…" Ganyu nodded hesitantly. "Anything... except that."

A mischievous gleam lit Lucas's eyes as he observed her shy expression. "Which thing?"

"T-that thing!" Ganyu stammered, lightly pressing her fingers together.

"I'm a bit dense sometimes," Lucas said with a teasing tone. "If you don't clarify, I might accidentally cross the line."

In this context, the word "accidentally" carried an unmistakable irony.

"It's..." Ganyu leaned in, whispering a few words into his ear.

"Don't worry," Lucas chuckled, patting her shoulder. "Five minutes isn't enough for that anyway. Ganyu, could you kneel down for me?"

Though hesitant, Ganyu honored her promise. As the dutiful servant of the God of Contracts, she couldn't break her own agreements. Slowly, she knelt down. "What now—mmph."

Before she could finish, Lucas had already begun enjoying his five minutes of bliss.

A few minutes earlier.

In the study, Xianyun set aside her book and addressed Shenhe, who was meditating nearby.

"I'm feeling rather hungry," she remarked. "Go fetch Ganyu and tell her to release Lucas. He should prepare us some snacks."

"Master, didn't you once say cultivators shouldn't indulge in worldly pleasures?" Shenhe asked with a straight face. "This will be your third snack today."

"Ahem..." Xianyun's cheeks flushed. "Immortals are above mortal constraints, including appetite. So we can indulge freely. Understood?"

"I see now," Shenhe replied with a rare expression of admiration. "I'll go right away."

Ganyu's underground training room was no secret to Shenhe or Xianyun.

Ganyu often lost track of time when absorbed in Lucas' training, and if no one reminded her, her companions were left to fend off hunger pangs.

Twisting the mechanism, Shenhe descended into the dimly lit staircase. She instinctively slowed her steps, as she always did when observing their sessions from the shadows.

For some reason, watching Lucas endure Ganyu's rigorous training stirred an inexplicable feeling deep within her.

But today, the training hall was eerily quiet—devoid of the usual sounds of exertion or combat.

Strange... could they be resting?

Feeling slightly disappointed, Shenhe descended further. However, when she caught sight of the scene before her, her expression shifted to one of utter shock.

Ten minutes later.

As Shenhe returned to the study, Xianyun couldn't help but notice something unusual.

Her normally poised disciple moved with a noticeable lack of steadiness in her steps.

"Shenhe, what's wrong?" Xianyun asked curiously. "Why is your face so flushed? Did you misstep during your cultivation?"

Shenhe shook her head. "No… no, Master, you're overthinking it."

"Good," Xianyun nodded. "By the way, did you deliver my message?"

"I… didn't," Shenhe admitted truthfully. "Senior Sister and Brother-in-law were busy with something important. I didn't dare disturb them."

"Hmph, just training a mere mortal—what could be so important?" Xianyun scoffed. "What were they doing?"

"I saw Senior Sister… eating Brother-in-law's—"

Before Shenhe could finish, Xianyun slammed her hand on the table, her expression furious. "How outrageous! What improper behavior!"

Alarmed by Xianyun's reaction, Shenhe quickly tried to explain, "Master, please calm down. It wasn't anything inappropriate. They were just—"

"That unfilial girl!" Xianyun interrupted, her tone indignant. "How dare she keep the food to herself!"

Shenhe froze, her words stuck in her throat.

"Tell me, what was Ganyu eating?" Xianyun asked, her tone full of grievance.

Shenhe's cheeks flushed a deeper red as she mumbled, "It was… Brother-in-law's essence—"

At that moment, the door to the study opened. Ganyu walked in, her face glistening with sweat, clearly having just exerted herself.

"Apologies! I… we lost track of time again," Ganyu said hastily. "Lucas is already preparing lunch."

"Hmph…" Xianyun's expression turned cold. "What exactly were you two doing?"

"Eh?" Ganyu froze, her blush deepening as she stammered, "We were… we were training!"

"Lying—no, lying to an adeptus!" Xianyun sighed in disappointment. "Shenhe has already told me what she saw."

"Junior Sister, you…" Ganyu looked at Shenhe, who awkwardly turned her gaze aside.

"Master asked, so I simply answered truthfully," Shenhe explained.

"Ganyu, I can't believe you'd do such a thing," Xianyun said, shaking her head with a pained expression. "I'm so disappointed in you."

Ganyu's face turned as red as a ripe tomato, and she muttered, almost inaudibly, "It was… a moment of weakness. Don't blame Lucas."

"Fine, I won't hold it against you for giving in to temptation," Xianyun said, patting Ganyu's shoulder. "But next time, make sure to inform me."

"I-inform you?" Ganyu asked, confused. "Why?"

"Obviously, so I can join in," Xianyun said matter-of-factly. "How could you be so selfish as to keep it to yourself?"

Though the two were talking about completely different things, their conversation somehow continued to align.

In a way, Ganyu truly was "keeping it to herself."

"By the way, tell me," Xianyun asked curiously. "How does it taste?"

Despite the embarrassment, Ganyu answered hesitantly, "It's… a bit sour."

"Sour and sweet? Or sour and spicy?" Xianyun asked, swallowing hard. "Sour flavors certainly stimulate the appetite."

Ganyu finally realized that something was amiss. There was no way that thing could have flavors like "sour and sweet" or "sour and spicy"—at most, it was sour and salty.

Could there have been a misunderstanding?

She glanced at Shenhe, but before she could speak, Xianyun said, "Why are you looking at her? Her cultivation is still insufficient. She'll have to wait a few more years."

This isn't about a few years!

"J-Junior Sister is joining too?" Ganyu asked, shocked.

"With Lucas's skills, he could handle all three of us," Xianyun nodded approvingly. "In fact, he could even open a shop!"

A shop?

"No way!" Ganyu finally exclaimed. "That's… that's illegal!"

"Illegal?" Xianyun tilted her head. "When did opening a restaurant become illegal in Liyue?"

"R-restaurant?" Ganyu's eyes widened as the pieces of their conversation clicked into place.

"Hahaha…"

A burst of hearty laughter suddenly broke the awkward atmosphere. Shenhe, who was usually as stoic as an iceberg, was now clutching her stomach, laughing uncontrollably.

Even Xianyun, who lived with Shenhe, had rarely seen her disciple smile, let alone laugh out loud like this.

At that moment, the door to the room opened again, and Lucas stepped in. "Lunch is almost ready—uh, what's going on here?"

Inside, Ganyu's face was bright red, Xianyun had a faint trace of drool at the corner of her mouth, and Shenhe was doubled over with laughter.

The scene was nothing short of bizarre.

"Don't ask!" Ganyu quickly pushed Lucas out of the room, muttering under her breath, "What we did earlier… Shenhe saw everything."

"So what?" Lucas asked nonchalantly, smiling. "We're engaged. It's perfectly normal for us to do that, right?"

"It's not normal! We're not even really…" Ganyu trailed off, too flustered to finish. She lightly punched Lucas' shoulder and added, "Next time, make sure to close the door!"

"So…" Lucas squinted mischievously. "Does that mean there will be a next time?"

Ganyu didn't answer. She turned away, huffed softly, then stuck her tongue out at him. "That depends on your behavior," she said, before walking away briskly, leaving Lucas standing there, stunned.

She's… so cute!

Determined to earn another "reward," Lucas resolved to work even harder.

Just as he was lost in thought, a knock came at the door. Lucas opened it to find a purple-haired young woman standing there—it was Keqing, the Yuheng.

"Miss Keqing?" Lucas said, surprised. "What brings you here?"

"Never mind that," Keqing said, her brow furrowed. "Why was your smile just now so creepy?"

"Was it?" Lucas quickly rubbed his face, chuckling nervously. "You must be imagining things."

"I see you're quite enjoying yourself here," Keqing remarked, her expression displeased. "Don't tell me you've forgotten why you're here?"
